Though I must ask this question. Will it work on a deaf person?

:)

I'm surprised that Allah hasn't talked about one good psychology campaign conducted during the Gulf war.

The Associated Press reported on April 23 that U.S. troops were blasting AC/DC’s "Hell's Bells" and other rock music full volume from a huge speaker, hoping to grate on the nerves of enemy gunmen.

Unable to advance farther into the city, an Army psychological operations team attached to the Marine battalion here sends out messages from a loudspeaker mounted on a Humvee. Among the selections blasted was Jimi Hendrix.

They've also used the loudspeaker to shout insults at the enemy in Arabic, including "You shoot like a goatherd," in an effort to provoke them into attacking. Other messages included taunts like, "May all the ambulances in Fallujah have enough fuel to pick up the bodies of the mujahadeen." The message was timed for an attack moments later by an AC-130 gunship that pounded targets in the city.

When the firing stopped, they played sound effects of babies crying, men screaming, a symphony of cats and barking dogs and piercing screeches.

“Achmed, this is Jesus … Listen to Me, Muhammed is a false prophet, seduced by Satan, Allah is a false god. The god of the Jews is the TRUE God. Achmed, you must not kill your fellow man, you must not beat your wife, you must not marry children, you must not mutilate female genitalia, you must not … wow, this could go on forever … you must not …”

Yeah, but how long will that work before they figure it out?

Well when the media reports on its use, not long. We better start taking this war more serious.

LRAD was invented by a friend of mine and my wife, Woody Norris of Poway, CA. The LRAD has been used by the military in Iraq and elsewhere to bring the bad guys to their knees in seconds. It's the same device used by cruise ships which have turned away pirates off the African coast. You'd have to experience it closeup to appreciate how effective it is. Another invention not yet public is his flat panel speakers which project hi-fidelity sound from any solid surface on an adjustable beam so narrow two people standing side by side only one can hear it.

They really are amazing inventions you'll begin to hear more of in a short time. He has only recently contracted with the DOD for large scale production.

You don't need LRAD. You need a gun.

This was recently used in New York to promote a show and someone went off and stole the unit off of the top of a building. So...we can expect the enemy to be doing this now to our own guys. The art of illusion is a dangerous thing.

The Naval Coastal Warfare sailors I've talked to want the LRAD to help fishermen un-ass their heads when they wander towards restricted zones. You would not believe how much paperwork goes into a warning shot incident. If we can cut down on the number of 7.62mm wake-up calls, it will do a lot of good.

I am less convinced that this will significantly reduce the accuracy of jihadi's because of the high drug use. It might make their stress meter go to 11, rendering them even less effective when they are trying to ram and detonate.
