It’s Fred being Fred, talking about his flyswat at the Iowa debate moderator on Wednesday. This is the Fred that we all expected to see come out months ago, the one who chomped on a cigar while he mocked Michael Moore, and then fled from the face of the earth for months while his campaign imploded. Now we’re seeing him, punking the media, goofing on his rivals and being the devilishly entertaining communicator and idea-wonk that we hoped for. The question is, is it too late for Fred’s new moves to matter?
Update (AP): Mary Katharine sends this one along. Gold.
Update: Thanks to a commenter, take a look at this. A few weeks ago, Fred griped that Fox was trying to sink him. Well, here’s last night’s “Factor Primary” slate. Bill O wants his viewers to vote for their favorite Republican candidate. Notice anyone missing?
Even the Des Moines Register’s idiotic criteria would have to include Fred in this list. Nationally, most polls have him in at least 4th place. Rasmussen has Fred tied for 3rd in Iowa, and 4th in Florida (3 points up on McCain). But McCain makes the list and Fred doesn’t. Hm.

For all those who declared Fred finished a question. How DO you like your crow prepared?

THAT’S more like it! Good link.

I think its time for the Iowa Thompson organization to start counting hands, and let us know where they stand. Hey, there’s Chuck Norris on TV selling a Total Gym. I think I’ll check who he endorses for president.
Also, you Fredheads in border states (to Iowa) start making your plans to “move” to Iowa to participate in the causus.

I really hope you’re right. I’m an evangelical Christian and as conservative as they come. I’m astounded that people of my ilk are jumping on the Huckster’s bandwagon after they’ve been griping for 8 years about Bush’s open borders and his Washington spending spree. All the Huckster will be is 8 more years of Bush; exactly what we DON’T want.
Carter was a born-again too and he was a total disaster for not only America but for the world. Hundreds of thousands lie in their graves because he gave Iran to the ayatollah Khomeini. We need a real conservative this time out folks and Fred is the only one running.
Go Fred!

BINGO. It amazes me, it really does. I hear peole describing their IDEAL candidate, and I am thinking as they speak, “that is Thompson”, then they finish by saying they haven’t found their guy yet. Befuddling

One has to vote against Billary, why not for Fred. He may have the least baggage after all and he sure can act Presidential. He sure will do better job for America than a communist like Hillary/’white trash Willy’ or a muslim/ black racist like Baracko.

The No Spin Zone is new and improved, “The Tabloid Show of The Hour”…let’s see now, we have “body language” … “celeb moment” and other none news episodes like the “t.v. icon” segment…”dhuepoint”…which is an attempt to reduce the BOR’S arrogance, but he can’t resist being himself. The short of it is Mr. Bill’s attitude stinks for most conservative people with any manners. He comes across as arrogant, self-centered and pompous middle of the road squatter. He’s even worse on his radio program, can’t listen to or watch anymore.
I do give him credit for his fighting for the kids and Christmas after that toss a handful of grass in the air see where it lands before commenting.
How about a MM and LI show…maybe they’ll alternate nights and finish the week on friday’s together?

I just wonder how many dhiminicrats are answering pollsters by saying, “Why, yes. I am a registered Republican.” And then saying they are for this guy. He is one of the weakest Repubs running. An easy take-down by the clinton machine.

I quit watching Bill O. after Michelle stopped doing fill-ins for him. I stopped checking in on his website too. And I will not go back to watching him unless he, and “Geraldo” both get down on their knees and do a full grovel in front of Michelle on prime time.

Reported a couple of days ago that: Huckleberry Hound has less than $650,000 in campaign funds. Which means he is going to go broke quick. He is trying to leverage a win in Iowa but — I think he just doesn’t have the cash to keep on going. Whereas Fred — does. (Around $7 million cash on hand last I saw.)
