Hulk Hogan: I wouldn’t mind seeing American Gladiators beat the tar out of Rosie O’Donnell

Brutish and obnoxious, a textbook example of someone with freakishly huge mass thinking they can get away with anything.

No wonder Hogan doesn’t like her.

At Thursday’s press day for his new show “American Gladiators,” Hogan was asked which celebrity he’d like to see a Gladiator pummel. His answer: “Without a doubt Rosie O’Donnell. Somebody needs to shut that big mouth up,” TMZ reported.

O’Donnell responded in her blog, saying:

hulk hogan
the wrestler guy
wants to pummel me
isnt that sweet
and wildly odd

its like a gang of gross guys
a club almost
old dumb white and on tv

If you train, say your prayers, and eat your vitamins, you too may someday be reduced to baiting Rosie O’Donnell to drum up media interest in some garbage project.

What strange hold does this woman have over wrestlers’ imaginations? Is it simply that she’d make a fine lady wrestler herself, playing the butch “Big Bad Mama” type to the Tina Ferraris of the GLOW world? She is looking for work right now, too. Exit question:Rosie at Wrestlemania LVII (or whatever they’re up to now). You’d order the PPV, wouldn’t you?

Actually, I think there would be a huge viewing audience for this, even if it would only be for the one event and wouldn’t help overall ratings for the show. Many share Hulk’s views on Ms. O’Donnell.

katieanne on December 14, 2007 at 10:08 AM

No.

But she would make a great wrestler. Her Big Splash would be devastating.

packsoldier on December 14, 2007 at 10:10 AM

That “poetry” of hers gets me every time. She really does have some sort of mental problem. It’s a like a little kid that can only talk to people through a stuffed animal.

Dudley Smith on December 14, 2007 at 10:10 AM

Rosie is better suited to Mexican wrestling. I’d pay good money to watch that.

Baphomet on December 14, 2007 at 10:12 AM

Part of the liberal left’s mantra is anti-white, as in old, sometimes dead white guys. Unable to finesse the message one iota, white Rosie attacks whites. Slug.

JiangxiDad on December 14, 2007 at 10:13 AM

Oh, AP, if I had to write posts about Rosie O’Donnell and The View everyday, I would be an atheist too. :)

Rosie O’Donnell = Alpha Male. You’d never see her being the nice guy, holding the door for fair maiden only to have it slammed in her face. Not R.O.

Only if The Dudleys get to put her through a flaming table.

Literally? I seriously doubt it. I doubt he’d bother turning his massive neck to look at you funny across the street.

What he probably would like, Ro, is for you shut up your big mouth. Restated somewhat, perhaps think for a moment or two before you next open your mouth in front of a microphone.

A lot of people — even Hulk Hogan — find you stupid and tedious.

The idea of her in tights is too terrifying to contemplate.

Hells no. I’ve never even heard of, let alone met, a wrestling fan who liked the whole Donald Trump/Rosie sketch. That was just lame. The real Rosie would be 10 times as obnoxious as the gal (Large Marge?) that played her, and have no in-ring ability.

JammieWearingFool on December 14, 2007 at 10:31 AM

EVERYTHING she wears qualifies as tights…there’s nothing she can wear that’s loose.

Maybe I’m alone here, but I was a little excited when I heard they were bringing American Gladiator back and am actually a little more excited to learn Hulk’s going to host the show.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Rosie getting the tar beat out her by anybody, American Gladiators, Girl Scouts, bums off the street….. It’s all good.

Nah. AP’s too busy trying to figure out how to get MM to buy him an IPhone. That, and he’s also probably too busy digging his way out of the snow…

On that note, I think i’ll go for a run – it’s about 60 degrees outside here. A perfect day.

And your point is? When was she ever nice to supporting our troops or the people who died during 9/11 instead of creating and furthering the conspiracy theory? If anything we are being nice to her by allowing this creature any air time what so ever…

to Rosie,

Get over
yourself
its time
to change the channel

dare to think
you might
just be surprised
no one really
agrees
with your
silly theories

Could be
why
you are
no
longer on
TV

or could be that there isn’t a wide enough screen to fit your big mouth

I think it’s kind of odd, the desire of some on the right to withhold the free speach of some on the left. I think Rosie drives more people to our causes with her inanity than the other way around. I think it actually gives the left some ammo when people say things like, “someone needs to shut them up.” But hey, that’s just me.

samuelrylander on December 14, 2007 at 2:24 PM

There are a vast number of voters out there who are mindless View and Oprah type audience members. Powerful media types give platforms for the inanities of Rosie, Behar, Walters, and all the other hollywood lunatics and negatively influence the sheeple enormously. In and of themselves, they’re harmless, or as you say even useful as object lessons of stupidity, but in this case they’re promoted by powerful interests with a decidedly undemocratic agenda.
