I thought Cuban was a libertarian. I seem to recall even reading it somewhere on the internet–the every trustworthy and always accurate internet. But now it just seems that Cuban is just an idiot–and yet someway he made billions?

The thing about Clinton and Cuban that is key to understanding them is that they both suffer from narcisistic personality disorder. They need attention and reaffirmation of their “specialness” the way the rest of us need oxygen.

Hey Cuban,

instead of giving your money to the government, why not give it to the Salvation Army, The Red Cross, some churches for youth programs, the Boy Scouts, 4H Clubs, some university scholarships. . . . . .

How about cutting your ticket prices to the big games, cutting your advertiser rates, cutting your licensing fees. . . .

In other words, if you have so much money you don’t know what to do with it all, then how about reducing your prices/profit, and quit gouging your fans?

Taxing the rich to give to the poor is a fantasy. Any tax money is given to the likes of Ted Stevens, Nancy Pelosi, John Murtha and Maxine Waters to do with as they will. So the Woodstock Museum, the bridge to nowhere and Podunk, PA will receive more largesse. Helping the poor means that they can fatten various payrolls of liberal NGOs in order that they might hire more people to pimp for even more taxpayer largesse.

Cuban sounds alot like the current version of Bill Clinton. The whole point of Cuban’s screed is to tell everybody that I am richer than you are and I can buy anything I want and pay any sales taxes and it won’t bother me at all. But you can’t because your’e not me. It reminds me of Bill Clinton whining about “tax cuts for the rich” because “I wanted to support our troops and our soldiers and Bush wouldn’t let me”. Clinton always wants to tell everybody that he is richer than they are but he wants to pay more taxes. Nothing is stopping Clinton or Cuban from supporting our troops. They can pay more on their federal income taxes than minimally required if they wish to. Instead of paying fancy accountants to figure out how to pay the minimum, Cuban and Clinton can use turbo tax and perhaps miss some fancy deductions and then they will pay more than they might otherwise pay. What’s to stop Clinton, if he loves soldiers, from donating his speech royalties to pay off the mortgages of soldiers who died in combat and left behind wives and children? The thing about Clinton and Cuban that is key to understanding them is that they both suffer from narcisistic personality disorder. They need attention and reaffirmation of their “specialness” the way the rest of us need oxygen.

Okay, here’s a little Econ 101: When you tax “the rich” so you can redistribute those funds to Jane and Joe Sixpack — such as by raising the capital gains tax as virtually each of the Dem candidates will do — “the rich” stop investing in the stock market and start doing such things as buying municipal bonds and CDs instead. The economy tanks, businesses fold, and PRESTO!, Jane and Joe Sixpack are the first to get laid off. The industries that employed them dry up, and the layoff becomes permanent unemployment or they become permanently underemployed. And the rich? Well, they’re still rich, but far, far fewer Jane and Joe Sixpacks are joining the ranks of the rich.

What’s worse is that Hillary and Edwards and Obama and all of the geniuses in their campaigns know this, but they figure the true impact of it will occur after they’ve served their 8 years, so, you know, screw it. Engage in class warfare, get the votes, get elected, and let Jane and Joe Sixpack twist in the wind under someone else’s administration. They figure Jane and Joe Sixpack (and the mainstream media) will probably blame that guy, anyway.

And they’re probably right.

Tp the Kennedy’s, Buffetts, Cubans, Rockefellers, and even the Clintons who profess wanting to pay more in taxes – have at it. Write those big checks to the government. No one’s stopping you.

They’ve got enough stashed away for themselves and their heirs to not be worried about losing half of what’s left when they go tango uniform. They are so selfish that they don’t want any new members to their exclusive clubs and playgrounds. So, let the government tax the beejeebers out of all the slobs who have worked their way up to a modicum of wealth.

Maybe Mark Cuban believes what he is writing, I doubt it. I wouldn’t be suprised to find out he has off shore accounts, and investments for nothing more than avoiding taxes.

Having politically motivated millionaires tell us dumber people how how taxes should work always seems to work against us. George Soros is the prime example of this kind of non-sense, sociolist minded buffoons as long as it isn’t their money.

No one on the Forbes 400 or near by is going to let a 10 percent more increase in the cost of a luxury item get in the way of enjoying the lives they have always dreamed of.

Yeah Mark, the late 80’s Luxery Tax on yachts didn’t hurt the boating industry. All those rich people will keep buying those yachts no matter how high the taxes.

Then how come a very large boat manufacturing industry in Manatee and Sarasota Counties, Florida folded like a house of cards and put several thousands out of work because to the luxery tax imposed back then? The boating industry all over the U.S. suffered. The wealthy went to Italy and other countries to buy their yachts.

In 1982, Cuban moved to Dallas, Texas. Cuban first found work as a bartender,[11][12] then as a salesperson for Your Business Software, one of the first PC software retailers in Dallas. He was terminated less than a year later for not opening the store on time while out making a sales call finalizing a large software purchase with a customer.[12]

Cuban started a company, MicroSolutions, with support from his previous customers from Your Business Software. MicroSolutions was initially a system integrator and software reseller. The company was an early proponent of technologies such as Carbon Copy, Lotus Notes, and CompuServe.[13] One of the company’s largest clients was Perot Systems.[14] In 1990, Cuban sold MicroSolutions to Compuserve—then a subsidiary of H&R Block—for $6 million.[15] He netted approximately $2 million after taxes on the deal.[16]

In other words, Cuban is a slimey sales huckster who happened to convince a lot of people that he knew something. He was also incredibly lucky. Kudos. Now STFU.
