One of Brit’s better closers! Thanks, that was great.

Zorro on December 12, 2007 at 10:52 PM

EXCELLENT! Britts’ ‘and finally’ is always, alawys great! I’ve watched C-span at times and wondered if anyone ever caught this stuff on tape. I should’ve guessed Lenos’ people would.

countywolf on December 12, 2007 at 10:54 PM

Finger sniffer? Brit, that one’s called the “nose picker”.

Bigfoot on December 12, 2007 at 11:00 PM

It’s from Leno, not Brit.

lorien1973 on December 12, 2007 at 11:06 PM

Oh the sorrow, alas no nose pickers
to be found anywhere.hehe

canopfor on December 12, 2007 at 11:28 PM

Brit said “warshington”

End the writer’s strike now!
I’m getting my laughs from a Jay Leno clip played on Special Report with Brit Hume. It. has. come. to. this.

I gave up watching TV a long time ago. The longer this writers strike goes on, the more viewers (hint: paying customers) will be driven to the internet to get the news and entertainment they need.

The anointed ‘networks’ are dying.

He always plays Leno clips. At least twice a week.

lorien1973 on December 12, 2007 at 11:43 PM

…there’s a writers’ strike?

Mojave Mark on December 12, 2007 at 11:44 PM

Yes, there’s a writer’s strike and I wouldn’t mind catching
a brand new episode of The Colbert Report right about now. Forgive me, I’m 25 and in their demographic, I know not what I do.

terryannonline on December 12, 2007 at 11:46 PM

End the writers strike now!

It.has.come.to.this.

Terryannonline:And the scene fades to black,
then the music starts…It’s the end
of the world as we know it.haha

For a start you could give the writings of this guy a shot.
Samuel Langhorne Clemens

He’s much funnier than Colbert. A couple of other good candidates would be:

Jonathan Swift and Ambrose Bierce.

After you become hooked on these you’ll probably want to branch out a little and as an added benefit you won’t care if the writers stay on strike forever or who got voted off some crappy island.

Oldnuke on December 12, 2007 at 11:59 PM

Jonathan Swift

I’m not reading the writings of a guy who wants to eats Irish babies. Raaaacist.

terryannonline on December 13, 2007 at 12:07 AM

OH not to worry. All the writers will be back on the job right after they can show a proficiency in their understanding of the progressive leftist NWO.

sonnyspats1 on December 13, 2007 at 12:36 AM

Well, this sort of thing is acceptable now. After all, Australia’s run by an ear wax eater.

Well apparently in 1729 that was an Ok thing, even here in The Colonies :-)

”I have been assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London, that a young healthy child well nursed is at a year old a most delicious, nourishing, and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled …”

Of course you do realize that Ambrose Bierce was an illegal alien….from Tralfamador. I’m sure he’s back home now trying to screw his belly button back in. :-)

Seriously though who cares if the writers of the pap that’s shoveled out of the boob tube these days never write again? We can always watch old Popeye cartoons on DVD.
