You’d think that after all the Catholic and Protestant conflicts and the Irish and British Troubles, that they would let a tradition continue.

And learn from the lessons.

Ah, but years of shoving it down someone else’s throat and marching the Orange down on the Green didn’t antagonize anyones pride into fury.

It’s time pride was given way to melting.

And stop pretending to be offended.

British Muslims say: Put Christ back in Christmas
Hindus, Sikhs, and Human Rights Commission agree that secularization has gone too far.

Well. There you have it. The Equality Watchdogs have spoken decreed.

It’s so sad that the U.K. is becoming like the Continent.

The Equality Watchdogs probably didn’t give a damn. It was the majority that overreacted.

How bad does PC have to be there for Muslims to say that there’s not enough Christ in Christmas?

amerpundit on December 11, 2007 at 11:55 PM

Even moslems realize liberals are idiots.

Allahpundit

off-topic question I heard there is a video of Oprah talking with her friends in Iowa this weekend and she says
“its time to get whitey out of the white house” or something like that. Have you or any commenters heard or seen this if true could be very damning for the big O.

thanks

BTW wow how human of the secularists

Kevin43 on December 11, 2007 at 11:59 PM

This is one of a number of rather Christian-friendly, anti-Shariac sentiments expressed by Muslims in England lately…not to jump the gun, but is the tide finally beginning to turn?

Someone didn’t read the linked article.

RushBaby on December 12, 2007 at 12:15 AM

Muslim Council of Britain spokesman Shayk Ibrahim Mogra said, “To suggest celebrating Christmas and having decorations offends Muslims is absurd. Why can’t we have more nativity scenes in Britain?”

The rest of his quote went unrecorded as it was said under his breath… “Enjoy them while you can you damned kafirs.”

Perhaps it is time we sent the armada, recaptured the isles, and capulted the turks?

LOL! So true. Preemptive PC is the liberal version of preemptive war.

JM Hanes on December 12, 2007 at 3:50 AM

That’s actually refreshing. Merry Christmas everyone!

The moderate Muslim voice at last?

….and heck, The Brits would dovetail right into Hillary’s health care.

I dare say the magnanimous behavior is self-serving. To take over in today’s society, you must work toward inclusion first.
Make sure nativity scenes are allowed, then say that because they are allowed (and because you’re so great and inclusive), the symbols of your “religion” now must be allowed. Even the atheists are learning this tact.
