Liberals base everything they think on what movie and rock stars think. Why do you anyone goes to the Huffington Post at all? So the Oprah thing is no surprise. Not to mention that she had “Song of Solomon” on her booklist and it became a hit like 25 years after it was written. These are the fools that follow the cult of Oprah. I remember her favorite book was, “The Bridges of Madison County” and she did a whole show about it. What a POS that book was but all of her cult followers loved it too. And they will pretty much do whatever she says. They’re worse than Moonies.

The founding fathers had a sense for a portion of the population being stupid. They tried to work around that, but never counted on how bad it would be in the future.

I like that. Nothing could be more true.

They lived in an age of intellectual discussion, civil discourse, common sense and honesty. Today’s world was unforeseen and unimaginable to them.

They had it right, but as you said, stupidity got in the way.

I really don’t know enough about Oprah to say something witty, but she seems to attract the type of crowd that needs constant therapeutic input, has zero self identity and somehow manages to miss the point that they are tools.

Every time I see her she is a different dress size as well. She seems to expand and contract quite a bit.

Why is that an atheist’s dream? I would think that
an atheist leading in all the polls would be an
atheist’s “dream,” no?

I bet we do have an atheist running for office right now
but they can’t just say they’re because as the polls you post here, Allah, show that wouldn’t
sit too well with the public.

Which is why I could live with a hillary presidency. She’s a pragmatist if nothing else. We got more done, right of center, done during the 90′s then we did during Bush’s admin.

Hillary is not to the right of any of the Republican possibles. What she is, is a calculating politician who knows that this country is generally aligned center-right. So she will appear to be just that. She learned it from watching her husband win by doing just that.

And remember kids, a Hillary win means we get Bill back in the WH.

Huckabee is a creation of the left . . . he’s the most beatable Republican and his nomination would ensure that a Democrat occupies the White House in 2008. The GOP lost control and is a sinking ship without a sail or rudder. Sad but true.

My sister is the liberal black sheep of the family, and last year used her blog to excoriate Oprah for her support of "A Million Little Pieces" author, James Frey. And she frequently takes Oprah to task for her self-aggrandizement; anything "good" Oprah does is for the Greater Glory Of Oprah.
