This is the kind of story that should catch fire in the American media, but it will die fast because it makes Castro look like a failure and America look like a success.

Now if Alec Baldwin left America for Cuba, he would become a media darling and MSNBC would give him an 8 yr contract to do a new show from Cuba.

True. Of course, then he could see what a government who persecutes all Christian and religious groups does. Perhaps then he’d know what real people do in the face of persecution and fear.

But then again, he’d probably just sit under a tree with Castro and extol the virtues of Cuba. All of them.

Oh! They’d definitely bill us for that trade. I think we could send them Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon without excess liberal charges being applied.

They’re always whining about “chill winds” anyway so sending them to a country with bone crushing humidity and no air conditioning should be right up their alley.

You talkin’ about Castro here or the moonbat expectation that President Hillary will give us BOTH unfettered amnesty and Cuban-style healthcare? From where I am sitting, Cubans should be very psyched at the possibilities for expanding La Revolucion. They can’t help but see common cause with Clinton, Obama, and Edwards.

Being granted Asylum is no easy task. Unless he’s been working incognito for the U.S. in some capacity, is at risk as a political target, has some juicy intel for the U.S., or has some special talent and a sponsor with tons of money, it’s tough to just walk right in and make yourself at home because you’re unhappy with the way of life in the homeland. He must have had something arranged.

I wish him, his wife, and his children best of luck and a wonderful new life.
