Oddly or not, the Mormon church’s invested interest was to keep that scandal and their ass covered, sharing the same bed in business practices; they all wanted the Federal bail-out once the house of cards fell.

Naturlich, untangling that web is beyond my interest with regards to Romney per se and his FAMILY’S wealth of board memberships and financial/political alliances.

Glenn Beck really represents everyday America and he doesn’t seem to have any problems with Candidate Romney.

I think if Romney wins New Hampshire, look out.

Exactly! I don’t think the Mitt haters are into substance though. They have already made up their minds, and if they were actually to look at the issues they would see Huck as being a fiscal liberal and weak on illegal immmigration. They might also notice that Giuliani is a social liberal and weak on the 2nd Amendment AND illegal immmigration. If there are any voters out there supporting Huckabee or Giuliani, fine, but they shouldn’t ever refer to themselves as themselves conservatives again.

No candidate that we have to choose from is perfect. I think all the republican candidates have some issues with their past. I look at maybe 5-10 of the most important issues, and I vote on them.

Being in favor corporate welfare for the auto industry is hardly an important issue when looking at the big picture.

How about asking him about the wonderful healthcare proposal he has in mind. Of all the interviews I have seen Beck do, that was, by far, the most bush league.

Beck did actually ask Romney about the Health Care Plan last night, but naturally the HA crew can’t cut all hour from it or whatever, something about FCC laws or copyright infringement etc. blah.

In any event his answer was to say he came up with the plan with the Heritage Foundation (the quintessential conservative organization, as he said) and they approved of it. Chances are however, that some Mass legislature types made some rather unintended addendums to the original plan. Such is life.

If Romney’s the candidate, I’ll probably vote for him unless he tortures puppies or kittens before the election .

As far as saying the right things about immigration- as recently as 2005 and again in 2006 he spoke in favor of the McCain-Kennedy shamnesty bill, suggesting that it wasn’t really amnesty. As with so many other issues, he was for it before he was against it; once his advisors decide which position would benefit him in the polls, that’s the one he takes. It’s opportunistic pandering and flip-flopping and is thus not to be trusted.

Notice the “if he keeps saying the right things”, and the “start listening to substance”.
Nothing about action, nothing about how little he has done, besides “saying all the right things”.
What major issues is Mitt now endorsing, that he wasn’t against two years ago.
Naturally he fulfills “all 100″, so he says, he’s been on both sides of most issues.
Like, abortion, he was for it, now against it…
Like gun control, he was for it, now against it…
Like taxes, he was for it, now against it…
Being a conservative, he was against it, now he is for it…
Immigration, he had sanctuary cities in Mass, now he is against them…
There is more, so much more…but then “he says all the right things”, and he said them four years ago, and then two years ago, now he say them currently…they just happen to be different “substance” every couple of years.
His substance, is that he knows what to say, and to whom…some leader.

That’s the one.

I for one though put about a qazillion times more weight on if as governor or mayor someone purposfully ran a sanctuary state or sanctuary city than I do if as governor someone inadvertently “ran a sanctuary mansion”.

I went back and watched the 2002 video of Romney vowing to preserve all of Massachusetts pro-abortion laws. If Roe is overturned, the people of Massachusetts will be able to allow or disallow abortion in any manner that they see fit. As it should be (until and unless a human life amendment is passed). I would have said that he was not a flip-flopper and was just doing the will of the people of Massachusetts.

However, now he’s saying he had an epiphany in 2004 and that he vetoed all pro-abortion measures in Massachusetts subsequent to that epiphany. Is he going to have an epiphany on illegal immigration once he’s elected president?

THIS recent story might give us a hint as to why Hershey’s Corporation moved operations to Mexico.

I think we now know how drug cartels will be moving shipments of cocaine into the U.S.

If the man is saying good things about religious liberty, illegal immigration, free markets, Islamic jihad and all the rest, why are we so quick to criticize those who “ACTUALLY AGREE WITH HIS POLICY”.
