Was that really CNN? Is this a fluke or is it the start of a major turning point in CNN also? One can only hope.

The Brits won’t be around to help in the south for much longer

I’m not sure that’s such a bad thing. The Brits and Americans have had a very different view of victory in Iraq and how to achieve it, at least since the surge started and probably sooner. In recent weeks Americans have begun to move from just confronting AQI to now confronting anti-American and anti-government shiite militias, which is something I don’t believe the Brits would have approved of when they had an overwhelming military presence in the south.
