This is why I don’t put money on these games. I couldn’t call a hog without mucking it up, let alone a football game!

Mr. Shula and Co can keep the champagne on ice for another week.

Other observations/complaints about ESPN: what’s with the ESPN Deportes update with the hot latina reporter? Who cares what the soccer scores in Mexico City were.

The biggest complaint about ESPN, especially during football season: Chris Berman. He is the definition of “ass clown.” Is he really that popular that the brass at ESPN think he is worth keeping around? Most people I know thinks Berman is a joke at best. He makes watching NFL highlights painful. Every time he utters that “whoop,” I want to smack him, hard. He is so 1991. He doesn’t realize his time is past.

They would have played the Patriots straight up today.

I know it sounds like fan blather, but the Hawks were great today. I was there and the places Hasselbeck was putting the ball were, dare I say, Bradyesque. And the defense: 5 sacks, 5 INTs. The saying is “on any given Sunday….” Well today would have been one of those Sundays. Let’s just say the Hawks would not have melted down like the Ravens did.

I guess it was crummy if you are a Cardinals fan. The SeaHAWKS were ON today as they doubled up Arizona 42-21. The first half was easily the best sustained football they HAWKS played all year. Hasselbeck was hitting receivers with amazing precision. His first half QB rating was 153, and 130+ for the entire game. They would have played the Patriots straight up today.

I guess it was crummy if you are a Cardinals fan. The SeaHAWKS were ON today as they doubled up Arizona 42-21. The first half was easily the best sustained football they HAWKS played all year. Hasselbeck was hitting receivers with amazing precision. His first half QB rating was 153, and 130+ for the entire game. They would have played the Patriots straight up today.

The defense was all over Kurt Warner. 5 sacks (can you say Kearny) and 4 interceptions, including an 80+ yard pick-6 by Marcus Trufant. The offense had less than 100 yards rushing, but were in control the whole game.

The Seahawks clinced the NFC West for the fourth straight year. If they win out and the Packers drop two of their last three games, the Seahawks get the first week bye in the playoffs. Come on Packers, you know you can do it.

Didn’t see the Packers game, but I followed it on NFL.com. Hardly seems they were outplayed. Got a lil Blue Star envy going there?

On to Colts/Ravens.

The Steelers are pretty well boned short of a few miracles.
