Since a tongue-in-cheek method didn’t sink in, how’s about direct: Christians dislike homosexuality, this is true. But it is the ACT, not the person, that is disliked. I have one or two homosexual acquaintances. I don’t dislike them. I disapprove of their choice. I also have acquaintances whom I know have committed other actions I disapprove of. Each is treated the same way in regards my opinion of their choices.

In your ignorance and dislike of Christianity you compare that, with those who HATE homosexuals, not just their choices, and who would kill them all for those choices. Guess what, those same people would kill you for being an infidel, something no Christian would do.

Don’t be a sheeple. Don’t get on the same wagon as Whoopie Goldberg, Rosie, Helen Thomas, Hillary, et al. Christians believe in something larger than themselves, and act on those beliefs. Imperfectly, just as anyone else. But we don’t initiate fatwas or cry jihad or blow ourselves up in a vain and godless attempt to get our way. Because it isn’t OUR way we care about, but God’s, and He doesn’t need our help. He especially doesn’t need us mucking things up with misguided violence.

He was the lamp that was burning and was shining and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light

When you warn of hellfire, and you shine a light on those who may face judgement, it gets nonbelievers nervous

I think I understand your post, but it was real,real hard to grasp. For clarity, you might put some spaces ‘tween your sentences.
But your response to crr’s scattergun comment is definitely warranted.

And don’t forget about the Christian-wa placed on the heads of that hack who wrote “The Golden Compass”, Nicole Kidman, and that guy who played James Bond. And the Christian-wa on Hitchens. They’re all being pursued by Christians and needing so much security.
And the riots and burnings of villages by those wacky Christians after the Bible was used as toilet paper in Bethlehem by those sweet and innocent Palestinian terrorists. And the mass killings after each release of the episode of South Park where Jesus was boxing people.

Seriously, guess what? People vote for their reps based on their own values. Why Christian values scare people so much is beyond me. I mean, it’s not like THEY use suicide bombers and beheadings against their enemies.
