Looks great. I was wondering if they were going to do more of the series.

My favorite was Dawn Treader followed by Horse and his boy and The Magicians Nephew and Last Battle.

I understand your desire for good wholesome entertainment but I do not want Robert Redford, Disney or anyone in Hollywood to make these films.

Why? Because when they make them, they twist them to fit their own man center worldview. The first installment is a perfect example of this. There is a scene where Aslan tells Peter something quite unChristian. I can’t recall it at the moment.

You are quite correct to point out how movies tend to alter the original meaning of the author’s story.

Even Lord of the Rings had it’s flaws.

I wasn’t the most impressed with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe movie – mostly because of the little things they left out for no reason whatsoever. Like the ‘deep magic’ stuff, etc. It became “true sacrifice” or something stupid. As opposed to an un-true sacrifice…? C.S Lewis is my most favorite author evah, so yeah, I could be considered a purist.

Okay, enough about that. I still will go see Prince Caspian though. I’m sure it will be enjoyable but I’m still gonna re-read the book beforehand so I can nitpick. Woot!

When the first movie was being released I read an article that they were going to change things in “The Horse and His Boy” because it reflected an obvious racist streak in the world at the time, against Arabs. (!!!) Anyone else hear anything similar? Would be a shame if they butchered the story.

I hope not too, because that is my favorite of all the seven books.
