The wicked witch and her band of flying monkeys running congress has handed the GOP gift after gift on a sterling silver platter and they have yet to feast on the cornucopia of incompetence.

Also, do we really want to fault Pelosi for not passing health-care or immigration reform? That’s good news, right?

It would have been nice if they went along with Bush’s SCHIP proposals, but you have a point (and I’d add “mortgage crisis” to that list). But the rest of it is really good, particularly the facts on delayed tax returns, the AMT fiasco, and the 40 lost votes – and the visuals are oh so entertaining.

They aren’t cracking the whip and overhauling or country, and our constitution, yet, because of the upcoming elections. They’re not going to lose any of the dyed-in-the-wool liberal Democrat voters no matter how ineffectual the Democrats are right now. They’d never vote for any Republicans anyway, and the 3rd party parties are not viable.

Couple that with the Democrats nott wanting to alienate the fence sitters, plus they’re trying to win some hearts and minds from the other parties. They’re betting that there will be a huge Democrat majority in the houses, and a Democrat President, in 2008… then the proverbial $hit is going to hit the fan. They’re holding their cards close to their chest and when they play their hands, 2008-2012 (and quite possibly 2008-who knows) is going to be one helluva a term for the country if the 2008 elections go the way I’m guessing they’ll go.

All the things they’re not doing today, is going to cascade down on us like an avalanche in the near future, and man, it’s going to get ugly. Madam Pelosi and Crew will have a lot of atoning to do, and I bet they’re chomping at the bit to do it. I have no clue how many Supreme Court seats are coming up for appointments in the next 5 years, if any, but barring some horrendous Democrat scandal(s), they’ll be getting real busy soon enough.

…and the Republicans are practically bending over backwards to help make it all happen!

I agree. The House has been much less worrisome than it could have been. It appears (no surprise) that, like the GOP, the Democratic Party can’t/won’t actually get anything done (other than earmarks to maintain power). Whether this ineffectiveness is because solving problems would remove campaign topics or for some other reason), things could be worse.

And that’s exactly what I look like…when I’m editing Shamnesty ads.

What about all the earmarks for “rat” contributors that was attached to the Iraq supplemental? Can we still fault her for that? I somehow think she should be held accountable for using the well-being of our troops for her political agenda.

What about the fact that William Jefferson is still roaming the halls of Congress with committee assignments and without one appearance before the ethics committee? Can we still fault her for that?

What about Tunagate that would have given employers in her district a unique exemption from labor laws that applied to virtually every other inch of American soil? Can we still fault her for that?

What about her friendship and support of Jack Murtha as Majority Whip? Can we still fault her for that lack of judgement?

Just asking……. Seems like there is plenty of valid criticism even if amnesty attempts were thwarted.

And, maybe it isn’t too fair to compare the clip to Bryan’s videos during shamnesty…can anyone really compare to Bryan on the camera and editing software?

“Do-nothing” is about the best we could hope for. Granted, they’ve wasted millions of taxpayer dollars to “investigate” nothing ad nauseam, but they could have been fighting even harder to lose the war, give aid & comfort to the enemy, and get our troops killed. For having the lunatics in charge of the asylum, it could have been worse.

Don’t put a liberal woman in charge.

Of anything.

I don’t know how effective this message is for them, though, because they know for a fact a Republican House wouldn’t even try to push the kind of immigration reform and health care that those voters want to see.
