Or claims that they are tolerant for letting her go? I’m sure the PC crowd the world over will use this as an example of the utmost tolerance, and move on.

Muslims are a lot like a town bully who acts like a loose cannon and has everyone afraid to challenge him or even look at him the wrong way.

Suppose for a second that this children’s book in Pakistan came out and one of the characters was called Jesus the Monkey. I personally would shrug it off, but don’t you think it would raise a few eyebrows in the Bible Belt?

Yes, probably would.

There’s is a big difference between ‘raised eyebrows’ and huge riotous mobs in the streets calling for someone’s execution.

My dog would never tolerate having another real dog in the house, so I have to use my stuffed toy Yorkie to make my point, I hereby name the cute lil thing muhammad. For no other reason that I CAN and I am sick and tired of seeing the kowtowing…

Well, maybe if you had followed the Religion of Peace’s example and shouted God’s name every time you cut off the head of a Gentile you wouldn’t have that problem.

I honestly don’t know how ruffled folks would get if Jesus the Monkey were at least cute and friendly. But I’d go so far as to suggest that some folks go above and beyond trying to be offensive. (Semi-stern content warning; no nudity)

Seriously! To hear her speak it sure doesn’t sound like she’s learned one thing. She’d stay there if it was at all possible! Maybe she’s just trying not to rock the boat any more than she has, but I’m not so sure.

On the UK message boards, a lot of people threw up their rhetorical shoulders and said, “That’s the law, she should have known better.”

To which I replied: (1) what sort of precedent is there to suggest this would be an “insult” to Islam, and (2) how exactly would you as prosecutor establish any sort of intent to “incite hatred” (one of the initial charges)? She thought she’d give children a cuddly teddy bear named Mo to incite hatred?

/I’m not a lawyer, but I play one in this post.

And I’m extremely concerned about the fate of the children who named the bear in the first place. The bloodthirsty mob didn’t get its blood from Gibbons, I’m afraid they’ll try to get it elsewhere
