Moving right along, how the H*^# can we agree to allow the Arabs and Jews to be separated like that, at the Arab’s request? What does that say about the prospects for an agreement that is fair to Israel?

She merely said, privately, that should could identify with citizens under siege. She can’t pin blame, since then the Palestinians would walk out. So she’s doing her job based on her resources.

The Palestinians are not citizens of anywhere. That’s the problem.

And just keeping people at a table is not her job, not State’s job, and not in the interest of the US. If the Palestinians are unable to hear the truth, then what are they doing there and what is the point of it all?

Please. The We have been trying everything for decades, and getting negative results. How many more times do we have to do the same dance until some people start to put 2 and 2 together.

Can you name me a single time that the Palestinians were given something – anything – and they behaved better afterwards? I can name a thousand instances of the opposite.

Also, for all of you people trying to speak about the horrors of Jim Crow and correct Condi about it..stop. She lived it; my mother and Condi were childhood friends who both had friends who died in the 16th St Baptist Church bombing. I doubt any of us could fully comprehend the enormity and consistency of the terror endured by black Americans in the Jim Crow era South.

And I would be the first to admit exactly that. I have experienced first hand racism directed at me while living for many years in a predominantly black neighborhood, but know that my experiences don’t even come close to being black under Jim Crow laws.

One need only be the minority for a short while to understand just how wrong racism is.

I, despite being white, think that I am far to offended by the statement to see any irony. Perhaps it is there, I just don’t see it. (BTW rather than irony, I would consider [filters the world through their skin, not their brain] it racists and just plain stupid.

What a disappointment Condi is. She, like every other black person filters the world through their skin, not their brain. No matter what the subject they interject some black racial slant into it. The woman is so wrong in so many ways. Could she be in this job because of her race or gender? Perish the thought.

If so, then why is she so bound and determined to ensure that the Palestinians get money to continue bombing Israel? Why is she asking Israel to surrender to terrorists? why does she think that surrendering more Israeli land to terrorists will appease the terrorists?

Far to many questions that do not have reasonable answers.

I totally get why people are frustrated with her; she made a statement that seems to excuse the terrorism heaped upon Israel by the Palestinians.

Rather, I think Condi was being overly-diplomatic in the shadow of Bush’s mideast peace efforts. I think her analogy, despite being factually correct is inartful and seems insensitive. I certainly don’t think she meant it that way.

I also think that being Secretary of State during such a tumultuous administration would sully most, no matter their qualifications. John Bolton is the only Bush appointee to walk away with his sack intact. Everybody else has taken a beating.

There were so many communists in the State Department and the Pentagon durring the 40’s and 50’s it was just plain nuts. And with all the Hezbos turning up in the FBI and CIA it makes me wonder. Seriously not so much that she really is one, but more like people working under her and advising her may just be.
