We need something to wash down all these plants we’ve been chewing on.

I know. How about the greatest remix in history?

Wow.

tneloms on November 29, 2007 at 1:51 PM

There aren’t words…

…to describe how AWESOME that was?

Slublog on November 29, 2007 at 1:53 PM

I really hate that song, but that made it tolerable.

dawgsleadtheway on November 29, 2007 at 1:53 PM

daaaamn…i cant even front, the way he remixed the music with the synths in the beginning was legit.

ernesto on November 29, 2007 at 1:54 PM

“He moves away from the mike to breath!”

AlexB on November 29, 2007 at 1:57 PM

Allah, I just saw this at Neatorama and decided to get back over here and sound the call, only to discover that you already had it posted! Well done, sir! Very impressive.

Dork B. on November 29, 2007 at 1:57 PM

Sacrilege.

RW Wacko on November 29, 2007 at 2:00 PM

More like sacrilicious.

askheaves on November 29, 2007 at 2:05 PM

Frozen Tex on November 29, 2007 at 2:06 PM

The palate is cleansed.

krabbas on November 29, 2007 at 2:06 PM

My man, Tay! Converting his 15 minutes into cold, hard, cherry chocolate cash. You go, li’l bro.

jdpaz on November 29, 2007 at 2:07 PM

Gotta hand it to the guy–he’s leveraging his 15 minutes of fame quite effectively. I think he’s creeping into his 16th minute now, which is pretty impressive for such a hack song and terrible video.

I wasn’t sure if Tay “got it” that people were making fun of him. This tells me he does get it since he’s clearly poking fun at himself while managing to improve the song quite a bit at the same time. Again, gotta hand it to the guy…

aero on November 29, 2007 at 2:08 PM

That. Was. AWESOME.

MikeZero on November 29, 2007 at 2:12 PM

That kid’s voice is still as horrible as it was the first time I cringed through that drivel. How ’bout “chocolate shame?”

robblefarian on November 29, 2007 at 2:14 PM

He moves his mount away from the mike… so he cran breave.

We are all witness to the greates music video moment of the decade.

12thman on November 29, 2007 at 2:15 PM

That. Was. AWESOME.

What he said.

AWESOME.

Farmer_Joe on November 29, 2007 at 2:17 PM

That was sick, and by sick I mean, awesome. It may have even been tight.

CP on November 29, 2007 at 2:18 PM

It’s minute 16…

Who was the rapper?

pb5000 on November 29, 2007 at 2:20 PM

Whew. I’m glad he cleared that up. At first I thought it was a commentary on social equality, but it was really about Dr. Pepper.

Spirit of 1776 on November 29, 2007 at 2:20 PM

greatness!!

trailortrash on November 29, 2007 at 2:21 PM

That was better than I expected it to be.

Esthier on November 29, 2007 at 2:21 PM

I never heard that song or “rap chant” before. Sorry, it didn’t do anything for me either.

saiga on November 29, 2007 at 2:32 PM

Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 29, 2007 at 2:34 PM

Imagine me smiling.

Doug on November 29, 2007 at 2:52 PM

Chocolate covering people in a music video…huh.

Is Tay a Talking Heads fan?

(it’s towards the end of the video)

Weight of Glory on November 29, 2007 at 2:53 PM

When we were looking for something to wash down all those plants we were chewing on, somehow that’s not what I was wishing for.

RMCS_USN on November 29, 2007 at 3:00 PM

Oh man that was AWESOME.

nailinmyeye on November 29, 2007 at 3:17 PM

Nice grill Tay…

maintenanceman on November 29, 2007 at 3:32 PM

Who was the rapper?

It’s a rapper called Mista Johnson.

This IS the greatest! Good for Tay…I wonder what he got for doing this commercial…

Like the “Big A” said: “Every day is Tay Zon-Day”

JetBoy on November 29, 2007 at 3:33 PM

This just goes to show that if you include a little tail you can turn Color Me Badd into Falco.

Doug on November 29, 2007 at 2:52 PM

Coconino? As in Arizona? Hmmmm……don’t know.

I grew up in Saginaw, Michigan……home of unemployment, crime, and even more toxins! We also have our share of pure idiocy.

Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 29, 2007 at 3:39 PM

Did Dr. Pepper back that?

ej_pez on November 29, 2007 at 3:50 PM

I want the last 3 minutes of my life back.

Cherry chocolate rain … Ohio’s agriculture is based on rains.
from “Cherry Chocolate Rain” Original Song by Tay Zonday

Maybe it’s me but I think this may be the most reflexive moment of social irony I have ever witnessed. Makes me think of this.

Genius.

The Race Card on November 29, 2007 at 4:56 PM

I want the last 3 minutes of my life back.

Static on November 29, 2007 at 4:56 PM

I want back the 648 minutes I’ve spent reading that recycled joke. Let me guess. You probably also threw up in your mouth a little.

Very original.

The Race Card on November 29, 2007 at 5:00 PM

I wonder if we can expect a new Chad Vader remix anytime soon. I’d like to see Chad getting down to the rappers. Yo! Yo! Yo!

calirighty on November 29, 2007 at 7:16 PM

emmaline1138 on November 29, 2007 at 7:25 PM

Jaibones on November 29, 2007 at 7:58 PM

wow, I think my life just changed so much that I actually came back around to exactly where I started, all from the pure concentrated awesomeness of that video.

marc@hubsandspokes on November 29, 2007 at 8:22 PM

No squirrels were harmed in the making of this video.

CyberCipher on November 29, 2007 at 10:31 PM

MirCat on November 30, 2007 at 1:30 AM

sulla on November 30, 2007 at 2:19 AM

Linger longerrrrr!

Jim Treacher on November 30, 2007 at 2:37 AM

The Squirrel!! That part was randomly delicious.

p40tiger on November 30, 2007 at 3:57 AM

That boy ain’t right.

(What a waste of good chocolate milk for the finale, by the way…)

Captain Scarlet on November 30, 2007 at 5:53 AM

It worked. I will try Diet Chocolate Cherry Dr. Pepper, if I can find it.

Sensei Ern on November 30, 2007 at 9:06 AM

Gold.

Reaps on November 30, 2007 at 9:10 AM

The only thing that could have made that song better would be Pigeon John.

Tim Burton on November 30, 2007 at 9:28 AM

I’m proud to say I have no clue as to the identity of that clown.
