Sorry I’m late with this. We were in consultations, or to be more precise, I was editing Jihad Watch.
I can’t watch the game tonight (thanks, %^7#$&^#$&**^#^ NFL!) but if you can and want to comment, have at it.

conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 8:52 PM

Oh, and Cowboys suck.
lorien1973 on November 29, 2007 at 8:53 PM
Keep pressure on Farve, he will fold.
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 8:53 PM
Favre is a chucker. Always has been. Always will.
lorien1973 on November 29, 2007 at 8:54 PM

conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 8:55 PM
Touchdown!!!!!!!
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 8:56 PM
Good Game so far. Packers got jobbed on the call, All Harris had the ball clearly. (I’m a cowboys fan by th way)
Question one for the night.
1) Why or why does Bryant Gumbel still the play-by-play guy for the NFl network? He’s the worst evah !
2) How many time will he call the Cowboys Romo and the packers?
As I type… Touchdown cowboys.
jdsmith0021 on November 29, 2007 at 8:56 PM
Hey! Romo just set the team record for TD’s!!!!
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 8:57 PM
hard to believe that Danny who had that record
jdsmith0021 on November 29, 2007 at 8:58 PM
w00t. That is all.
Bryan on November 29, 2007 at 8:59 PM

This game’s getting fugly in a hurry.
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 8:59 PM
Hey Bryan,
I think you can watch the stream of the game on NFL.com
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:00 PM
gumbel totally ruins these broadcasts. that’s the one thing that pisses me off about the nfl network. gumbel. ugh.
And why is favre throwing bombs all the time?
lorien1973 on November 29, 2007 at 9:00 PM
After 1 quarter, it’s 13-3 Dallas.
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 9:01 PM
Yep live streaming on nfl.com too.
lorien1973 on November 29, 2007 at 9:01 PM
No kidding, I always hated that guy.
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:01 PM
Damn, touchdown GB
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:03 PM
What a dump Dallas plays in. Think ’soviet airport’ and you’re getting the picture.
DrW on November 29, 2007 at 9:03 PM
Make that 13-10 Dallas with a second left in the first.
Touchdown Grant!
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 9:03 PM
Is it baseball yet? Go Cubs!
Wind Rider on November 29, 2007 at 9:04 PM
bryan, i can’t believe you don’t have the dish. wtf? and now that NFLN is HD, I’m golden baby.
DrW on November 29, 2007 at 9:05 PM
You are right there. While it is a house of glory, it is a dump by todays standards. But they are working on that!
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:06 PM
That was an interesting second:
Onsides attempt brushes a Packer short of 10 yards on the way to a recovery. Rekick is returned to midfield, but another piece of laundry brings that back to the 24.
FINALLY after 1, 13-10 Boys.
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 9:10 PM
Thanks so much for putting this up my Big Bri from Big D! You are the BEST! YES T.O.!!!!!!! WOO-HOO
SouthernPride on November 29, 2007 at 9:10 PM
Wohooooo
T.O. again!!!!!
He’s gonna have a big game tonight!
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:10 PM
the new stadium will be hosting a super bowll in the near future.
Should be a nice home game for the Cowboys
jdsmith0021 on November 29, 2007 at 9:10 PM
Touchdown Cowboys!
jdsmith0021 on November 29, 2007 at 9:11 PM
Touchdown Cowboys!!!!
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:11 PM
This may just be a shootout tonight!
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:12 PM
Safeties are extra-crispy tonight; Fasano to the end zone to once again make it a 10-point lead.
<expletive deleted> (hopefully I won’t slip up and forget which live thread I’m in).
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 9:13 PM
My ROMEO!
SouthernPride on November 29, 2007 at 9:15 PM
How does one get a Cowboy fan of off of one’s porch?
Pay him for the pizza.
Go Farve!
soundingboard on November 29, 2007 at 9:17 PM
How bout that!
Romo ties Aikmans record for consecutive games with TD passes
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:18 PM
They nearly got him again!
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:18 PM
Interception! And Farve is hurt
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:21 PM
<expletive deleted> <expletive deleted> <expletive deleted>
Third bad pass is the downfall.
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 9:21 PM
Hello, Newman.
Bryan on November 29, 2007 at 9:22 PM
Iterferance!
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:23 PM
RED FLAG
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:25 PM
He shouldn’t have challenged that one.
Slublog on November 29, 2007 at 9:27 PM
Ooooh, I have NFL Channel on my DirecTV. Brian, email me for my Hava (Its like Slingbox) Address and Password and you can watch too. :)
JayHaw Phrenzie on November 29, 2007 at 9:27 PM

conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:27 PM
TOUCHDOWN!
Slublog on November 29, 2007 at 9:28 PM
Romo will get a fine for that little move.
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:28 PM
Wade Phillips does not know what a catch is in the NFL
TheBigOldDog on November 29, 2007 at 9:29 PM
All that’s left to say is, “Congratulations; you’ve won the 31st draft pick.”
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 9:29 PM
He’s listening to guys upstairs. They need to learn what a catch is.
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:29 PM
BEAT DOWN!
Gatordoug on November 29, 2007 at 9:31 PM
Conservnut,
I must have missed something. What did Romo do?
Sue on November 29, 2007 at 9:31 PM
Farves out!
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:31 PM
You can watch it semi-live at NFL.com if you don’t have NFLN
TheBigOldDog on November 29, 2007 at 9:31 PM
He ran up to a fan and took a drink from their cup.
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:32 PM
Sorry, that was not Romo, it was T.O. and popcorn.
He will still get fined
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:33 PM
I can, I won’t, but will.
NFL has allowed some fairly serious damage to occur to what used to be a pretty good brand name. ESPN sunday night coverage was adequate and ABC’s MNF has been on a mild rollercoster since Cosell left. In all though, neither network subjected the viewers to crass politicization (NBC), idiot talking heads (ESPN), or extended “up close and personal” segments (both) that one has to tolerate these days. I turned off night pro football halfway thru the Bronco-Packer game a number of weeks ago and havent turned it on since. And based upon what I’ve read, I made a wise choice.
bains on November 29, 2007 at 9:34 PM
I wish Farve was in there. I don’t want to listen to GB fans talk about “Well if Farve had not gotten hurt”
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:35 PM
Hello,Bryan.
soundingboard on November 29, 2007 at 9:36 PM
Packer fans, with Favre on the bench, behold your future.
oy.
DrW on November 29, 2007 at 9:37 PM
You watch for what happens on the field…
TheBigOldDog on November 29, 2007 at 9:37 PM
At 20-10 when the 2nd pick and departure happened, I don’t think you’re going to see that.
I wonder what they give to the Game-That-Cannot-Be-Named loser.
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 9:37 PM
I’m away from a TV. What’s the scoop on Brett?
soundingboard on November 29, 2007 at 9:37 PM
Dwight Clark for President!
soundingboard on November 29, 2007 at 9:39 PM
WTF was Al Harris doing? TO stopped and Harris kept on going and TO was wide open.
TheBigOldDog on November 29, 2007 at 9:39 PM
Drilled in the throwing wrist on pick #2.
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 9:39 PM
Hurt throwing arm, don’t know how bad. But I doubt he will come back. (but I wish he would) I still want a good game.
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:40 PM
Oh oh, TO and Harris pushing. How long before TO spits in his face or does he reserve that for D Hall?
TheBigOldDog on November 29, 2007 at 9:40 PM
This game should determine home field advantage for the NFC Champinship game. That game will be played in Mid January, 2008.
Avg. January Hi / Lo in
GB 24 / 7
Dallas 55 / 34
DrW on November 29, 2007 at 9:42 PM
Don’t matter, the game will not be complete unless the NFL levies a fine against him.
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:42 PM
GB runs into the licker no call. No mind you this is the crew that hit the Pats for 5,000,000 yards in phantom calls against the Colts…
TheBigOldDog on November 29, 2007 at 9:42 PM
Cowboy fans know T.O.
We have given T.O. a break dudes. He’s a team player (right now) and we’ll take it. Look at his production.
SouthernPride on November 29, 2007 at 9:43 PM
And that is a big big deal. Still smarting from 67.
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:44 PM
Oh. OK. Thanks.
I’m not a huge Packer fan. But I do like Farve. I was kinda hoping he’d have a good year, and maybe go out with one more ring.
I’m the NFL’s version of a masochist. Saints fan.
And since, as per usual, we’re, for all practical purposes, out of the playoff picture, again. I thought I’d pull for a local boy.
Eli. (sagging)
Peyton.(seems to be paying more attention to commercials than football.
Brett. (Until the injury, having a MVP season)
soundingboard on November 29, 2007 at 9:48 PM
Yes, but given GB’s offense this year (spread them out an pass) they are better off on a warm fast track than in the frozen tundra. I don;t think they’ll be too unhappy with the second seed.
TheBigOldDog on November 29, 2007 at 9:49 PM
That’s definitely masochistic, soundingboard.
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 9:50 PM
Oh yeah BAYBEE!!!.
c’mon Dallas!!
johnnyU on November 29, 2007 at 9:51 PM
Ahh. The Ice Bowl.
I really did love The Pack back then.
Bart Starr baby!
soundingboard on November 29, 2007 at 9:52 PM
TD packers. 27-16 (soon to be 17 with the PAT)
TheBigOldDog on November 29, 2007 at 9:52 PM
ONE!
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 9:53 PM
Yep, I hate to see Farve hurt, he is a class act and (unless he is playing the cowboys) I normally root for him.
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:55 PM
At the half:
Cowboys 27
Packers (less Favre) 17
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 9:55 PM
Sometimes I think masochistic is not a strong enough term for that paticular psychological condition.
Delusional may come closer to the mark.
soundingboard on November 29, 2007 at 9:56 PM
And Bart Starr was another class act. I have to admit, I liked him too.
Ok, I’m through being nice. KILL EM COWBOYS!!!!!!
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 9:57 PM
Local broadcast channel is 27 KDFI….start moving those dishes around!
Good game thus far. Well, if Gumble would shut up.
Limerick on November 29, 2007 at 10:02 PM
We’ll kill ‘em Boys in the second half </thinking_wishful>
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 10:03 PM
Man he drives me crazy! And why can’t the NFLN get the audio right? Sounds like everybody’s in a tin can – and not just this game – it’s been every game they’ve carried since they started! Drives me nuts!
TheBigOldDog on November 29, 2007 at 10:05 PM
I don’t think so, the second half is our half. (hoping it still is anyway)
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 10:06 PM
Gumble and Collingsworth both drive me nuts. I would rather listen to Thiesman. Nah, strike that!
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 10:07 PM
It is. No one else in the NFC has been able to make halftime adjustments like the Boys.
Kowboy on November 29, 2007 at 10:07 PM
Yeah, Starr was one of those QBs who defined an era.
And lest anyone thinkotherwise , I’m not a Cowboy hater.
(IOW…place the banhammer on the table and back away slowly, Bryan. Let’s not do anything rash.)
I think Landry was a genious. Staubach was a thing of beauty to watch. And Emmitt Smith was awe inspiring.
soundingboard on November 29, 2007 at 10:08 PM
Do not even give them that thought.
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 10:08 PM
Feeling the love I am sending?
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 10:12 PM
I spent an hour on the phone with Comcast getting the digital sports package just to watch this.
The ‘Boys are the real deal. Romo is a golden god. This is better than the Superbowl.
Which the Cowboys are going to win, 35-27, over the over-rated, cheating Patriots.
Back to my beer and my game. We’ve got Romomentum, baby.
Get well soon, Brett Fav-re. You’re my second favorite quarterback. Too bad my fave is on the other end of the field.
Go Cowboys!
Professor Blather on November 29, 2007 at 10:12 PM
Gumbel sounds like Kermit The Frog….
TheBigOldDog on November 29, 2007 at 10:12 PM
27? BWAHAHA! They’ll score 27 before the end of the Half. They can’t even stop Aron Rogers! You think they’re going to stop Brady?
TheBigOldDog on November 29, 2007 at 10:14 PM
You almost sound like a Romosexual Professor. ;-)
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 10:14 PM
Great coaching, Wade :-)
steveegg on November 29, 2007 at 10:15 PM
Come on boys, blitz this guy
conservnut on November 29, 2007 at 10:19 PM
What if….
T-Ro had NOT screwed up the ball hold against the Seahawks and Dallas won, advanced in playoffs last year.
What if…
Parcells did not quit.
T.O. sad.
No Phillips.
NO GARRETT.
No Leonard Davis.
Players walking on eggshells in practice.
And the list goes on.
Thanks T-Ro. Without you, we’d be abt. 7-4 about now under Parcells.
SouthernPride on November 29, 2007 at 10:21 PM
Who knew Rodgers was an actor. That should’ve been a 5-yard variety.
