Important: “Reclusive, neurotic, over-the-hill vocalist” endorses Hillary

I’m quoting, as you’ll shortly see. Her statement begins, predictably, not with a tribute to Hillary’s qualifications but with an identitarian ode to What It Means:
“Madame President of the United States…it’s an extraordinary thought. We truly are in a momentous time, where a woman’s potential has no limitations,” said Streisand. “Hillary Clinton has already proven to a generation of women that there are no limits for success. She is driven by her passion for public service and her belief in the enormous potential of our country. Smart, capable and strong in her convictions, Hillary has transcended the dictates of what is thought to be possible for our time.
Not unexpected (really not unexpected?) and useful insofar as it helps Hillary close the all-important Most Powerful Woman in Showbiz gap. Exit question: Doesn’t this inadvertently play into Obama’s image as fresh-faced and different? He’s got Oprah! and Hillary’s got this gorgon has-been and her Truther moron husband.

Is she still alive?
What is she, 85 years old now?
JayHaw Phrenzie on November 27, 2007 at 6:42 PM
I swear, I never saw this coming!
(P.S. is that W. in the pic with her? If so, I can understand the terror in his eyes… actually, I’d understand the terror in anyone’s eyes if they were that close to her. Perhaps Robert Smith will save him)

Convictions? Her convictions are determined by what the polls happen to say that week.

“Her passion for public service” -aka- “money for nothing and the chicks for free.”

Dear Babs, Shut up
and sing..
I think I’ll go start a nice campfire, just below the mean-high-tide line on the beach in front of her house. Maybe throw on a few truck tires when I run out of wood.
.
Anyone feel like dressing up in pink, and joining me?

Nov. 2008, circa this time
Ms. Streisand is unavailable for comment, having retreated heartbroken, once again, into the privacy and comfort of her retirement. A neighbor, off the record, claimed that she’s on-going mumbling something like “Bush is Hitler, the American people are morons, I can’t live here any longer”.

Dear God, it’s bad enough I have to hear “Madame President” every time I watch Battlestar Galactica. I’m sorry, but it’s annoying, and I have no desire to hear Hillary Clinton referred to in that manner (or become President, for that matter). What is wrong with just saying, “Mrs. President” anyway?
R. Waher on November 27, 2007 at 7:23 PM
“Madam President”? Does that mean Hill will still be pimping for Bill once they get back in the Big House?
tickleddragon on November 27, 2007 at 7:35 PM
Oh, and… Barbra Who??

Some times I wish when someone retired it would mean they shut the h-e-double-hockeysticks up.

Thanks to her Red Chinese friends, she has certainly transcended the dictates of what was thought to be possible in campaign fundraising!
Thank God, our country will soon have the respect of France! And our people will have faith in their government, just as they did from 1993 to 2000!
Eleanor never imagined that hideous, annoying, strident lesbians could be President, rather than just First Lady as she was.
And yes, Bill is welcome to her repulsive attentions. Go get her, big boy!
Lehuster on November 27, 2007 at 9:20 PM
Yeah, Hillary has transcended many things, none thought possible for our time. I’ll just say, nothing this woman does, illegal, immoral, power hungry, greedy, none of that would surprise me now.

Hillary(D) has “proven to a generation of women that there are no limits for success” if you marry the right philanderer?
Hillary(D) has shown there are “no limits for success” provided you get handed a safe Senate seat?
Hillary(D)’s conspiring to accept illegal campaign contributions is a “belief in the enormous potential of our country”?
Hillary(D)’s using private investigators, the FBI and the IRS to attack her political enemies demonstrates “her passion for public service”?

Provided you flank for, and ride the coattails of, a man with a long history as a serial abuser of women.
