Sorry Allah but some of us work at places where we cannot access the internet for news during the day. However, this is still my main source for news when I get home in the evening. Because I am reading all of the posts by you and Bryan and then reading all of the comments to these posts my wife has started complaining that I am not spending enough “quality” time with her in the evening:)

That’s one person’s opinion. Does anyone have opinion poll data on this? I mean, it depends how the question is asked, but “We should have a zero-tolerance approach” won’t quite get the same numbers as “We should enforce migration laws better.”

The only record that Fred Thompson takes a hit on is his days as an attorney working for his employer and for not supporting the life amendment. First off, the life amendment (if you area true federalist like our fore fathers) would be unconstitutional. Fred is right… the states need to decide! Just like what we talk about when it comes to the abortion laws now! The right to an abortion whether you agree with it or not should be decided by the states, not the federal government!

Fred Thompson is the closes thing that we can say is conservative. He doesn’t believe in abortion. He believes in state rights, and he is for strong immigration policies. He pretty much stands for most of everything we conservatives agree upon. And at the same time, he doesn’t have a crazy foreign policy stance as Ron Paul.

The Fredheads are starting to sound like the Paulnuts.

Of course, to have zero tolerance on illegal immigration means that we’d need to deport the kid (and parents) to a society in which his or her talents will be wasted, but since when is “zero tolerance” a good policy in education?

If we are serious about illegal immigration, it will take “tough love” to shut off the magnets that bring them here. Having the US taxpayers pay for your kid’s education because you don’t represents an incentive that must be eliminated.
