Video: Superiority of Japanese television demonstrated once again

posted at 1:15 pm on November 24, 2007 by Allahpundit

Not that any further proof was needed, but you can never have too much evidence when making your case.

While the Japanese are devoting their evenings to magnificent programming like this, the big A was forced to subsist last night on a diet of “Ghost Hunters” and this noisome bilge. America’s end approaches, my friends.

Proof that its the lawyers who’ve screwed up American television.

Japanese TV rules!

William Amos on November 24, 2007 at 1:35 PM

and this noisome bilge.

I feel sorry for AP. Watching Lifetime in his free time.

From Family Guy:
Announcer: We now return to Girlfriends, on Lifetime.
Woman 1: Barry was over last night and he–
Woman 2: Don’t tell me.
Both: He left the toilet seat up!
(laughs)
Woman 2: Oh, I ran into Frank. It’s funny, he fought in Vietnam, he’s an exorcist, but there is one thing that terrifies him.
Both: Commitment!
(laughs)
Woman 1: Oh, Midge. You’re my 3rd best friend in the whole world.
Woman 2: 3rd? Who’re the first 2?
Woman 1: Ben and Jerry!
(laughs)
Announcer: Lifetime. Television for idiots.

That’s one of my favourite funny Japanese clips. I watched it over a year ago. If you like these types of clips you should check out the site http://thejapanesearecrazy.com/

The ambulance chasers would have had a field day if that were to happen here!
Ya ever noticed you don’t see any more prank shows on tv?

Only lame pranks. On celebrities. Who are either too stupid to know its a prank or obviously in on the gag.

Announcer: Lifetime Family Guy. Television for idiots.

Fixed.

I was thinking the same thing at GT when watching this clip. That and the Homer quote ‘God bless this rocket-house and all who dwell in the rocket-house.’

The USB humping dog is awesome! Too bad it works all the time; it should only workwhen you are putting data onto it or deleting data from it.

lorien1973 on November 24, 2007 at 2:54 PM

You know, AP, there are these things called books…

Jim Treacher on November 24, 2007 at 2:56 PM

You know, of all the places in the world people should be suspicious of chairs behaving strangely, it would be Japan.

It’s kind of hard to believe anyone there falls for pranks anymore, kind of “fool me 19 times…”

Merovign on November 24, 2007 at 3:52 PM

Can we rig the chair for the speaker of the House of Representatives to do this?

SouthernGent on November 24, 2007 at 4:03 PM

Where can I buy one?

Limerick on November 24, 2007 at 5:06 PM

Hahaha…. frostbite is hilarious.

I’d sue.

R. Waher on November 24, 2007 at 6:14 PM

That’s why I hardly ever watch TV anymore; when evening chores are done; check the news, then boot up the machine. If you don’t feel like reading, there’s always Call of Duty 4 and The Witcher. Enough to keep me going until 24 starts again.

austinnelly on November 24, 2007 at 7:15 PM

Didn’t God create the Xbox 360 so you don’t have to watch Ghost Whisperer?

Number 2 on November 24, 2007 at 7:21 PM

Dude…

Jaibones on November 24, 2007 at 8:21 PM

What is japanese for “I’m going to sue your ass back to the stone age”?

Notice how the naked japanese apparently share the same chair with out putting down a towel first. Ewwwwwww.

Mallard T. Drake on November 24, 2007 at 9:27 PM

I’d be more worried about the Kancho chair ….

Kristopher on November 24, 2007 at 9:44 PM

All the shyster lawyers would LOVE for somebody to get hurt…

Jackpot!

Mojave Mark on November 24, 2007 at 9:51 PM

What amazes me is the apparent good humor with which some of these guys take it.

mikeyboss on November 24, 2007 at 11:51 PM

I may just have to move to Japan. Since I’ve been reading Hot Air, I’ve come to appreciate Japanese robots, humor, and idiocy. Very interesting people!

Snopes says that one is actually a commercial.

Occasus on November 25, 2007 at 12:37 AM

That’s exactly the type of seat I was talking about in my comment under the Ingraham interview of the leftist chick! (Except, please, let them keep their clothes on. I doubt anyone wants to see her ilk in the altogether…)

Captain Scarlet on November 25, 2007 at 5:10 AM

With all due respect, I have to wonder whether or not Number 2 is a female.

Silly Rabbit, you watch Ghost Whisperer with the sound off! ;)
