I don’t get it. You do know there have been written accounts of eye witness sightings of UFOs for THOUSANDS of years, don’t you? How do you figure the eye witness sightings of “giant human head birds” are any more legitimate than thousands of years worth of sightings of space craft. I might add that the bulk of “space craft” or UFO sightings have come long before man was capable of any flight at all.

Thirdly, the “abducting” aliens are always humanoid (head, torso, arms, legs. eyes, etc.) anyone, even if evolution was true, who believed that aliens would evolve in to such similarly structured beings as us is an idiot.

There are many theories which would explain this. For example, the theory that these crafts are not from deep space, but are time travelers from our own future. Another theory suggests that we were placed on Earth by another civilization, from another world, and that they pop in and check up on us once in a while. This would possibly explain the mysteries of the pyramids.

While I’m not sure if any of these theories are true … I think it’s silly to suggest that there’s absolutely no evidence.

Again, I won’t believe it until I see it. But I find it funny that we’re so quick to waste so much money chasing something there is no evidence for, but we aren’t dumping tax dollars in to finding the Champlain Monster in Lake Champlain or the Congo’s “mokele mbembe” (which supposedly looks like a brontosaurus). These, and many other creatures, have (admittedly, inconclusive) evidence in the form of eyewitness accounts. But evolutionary assumptions prevents any serious scientific study… yet these same assumptions lead us to spend ridiculous amounts of money chasing these aliens, which we have no evidence for (and don’t give me “alien abduction claims” to say those are the same type of eye witness accounts. First of all, it’s only a recent phenomenon. Secondly, these “abductions” aren’t the evidence scientists are basing the question for ET. The quest is entirely based on the evolution assumption that “life will evolve”. Thirdly, the “abducting” aliens are always humanoid (head, torso, arms, legs. eyes, etc.) anyone, even if evolution was true, who believed that aliens would evolve in to such similarly structured beings as us is an idiot. I always have to laugh at abduction stories… Really, 2 arms, 2 legs, a head, eyes, just like us, huh? How weird that vision would evolve in two places and place 2 eyes on the head, which also by chance evolved both places.. and don’t get me started on the bodies that are basically the same just smaller. That is one damn coincidence that the one type of alien of the supposed infinite types that found us, flies in vehicles, like us, and looks so similar to us. Morons.)

Sounds like a great new installment for the folks at the History Channel’s ‘Monster Quest’ to work on.

Actually they just did this episode. I watched it the other night and it was kinda interesting. The thing that was most interesting was the footage of some sort of very large looking bird that was filmed back in 1977 in Lake Shelbyville, Illinois.

Give me a picture with something in it for scale, and I’ll believe there’s a bird that big.

There’s always a rational explanation for things like this.

The Pteratorn in the second photograph (the second video) is almost identical to Mr. Cantu’s description. I’m sure there is some exaggeration on his part, but it’s not like he was claiming anything truly insane like alien abduction or having had a fulfilling sexual relationship with Hillary Clinton.

Perhaps a handful of these creatures have survived in the Sierra Madre Occidental. Those mountains are the least explored regions in North America.

Hell, the Mountain Gorilla wasn’t discovered until 1902. The Megamouth shark in 1977. Stranger things have happend.

And second, we’re bound to have a few readers who’ll not only claim to know people who’ve seen these things but will play it off as if it’s the most natural thing in the world. “Thirty-foot bird with the face of a man? Shoot, my uncle used to have one stuffed and mounted in his den.”

At least the second video delved in to “Thunderbirds” as native Americans called the… The point is, it isn’t some “alien abduction” crap, people have seen these for years. Do I believe in them? I don’t know, I haven’t seen it… But I’m not quick to dismiss it, given all the strange things that were once thought to be myths, but turned out to be real (giant squids, platypus, Denny’s grand slam). But for all I know, there’s something, but they’re exaggerating the size.

But I’m surprised to hear you’ve been to my uncle’s house. Did he teach you to “wrestle”, too?

Come on! Therre is NO WAY this “bird” exists. It would be shot, stuffed, and hung on a wall by now. This is TEXAS baby!

Hogzilla is proof that this theory is flawed. Well, kinda, I guess it came from a farm originally or something, right?

But look at all the creatures discovered on remote islands or in the deep seas all the time. Again, I’ll need to see some evidence before I believe it, but there are enough eye witness reports over generatsion to make it interesting.

I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for it tho.

You’d be amazed what people raise as pets, and then release into the wild when they get to be too much trouble.

Every scientific discovery, and they come at the rate of a couple a week, disproves the last scientific discovery. But the scientists always tell us that THIS TIME they got it right.

As for Ramirez, I imagine he saw a buzzard, a damn big one, but a buzzard no less.

But, like the scientists, I could be wrong.

They could easily be seeing condors. The face is very much similar to what the guy drew.

This is also the reason why most people who see “UFO’s” always see the same aliens. Books came out suggesting the way they looked, so that’s what people see. Before that book came out (I forget it’s name now), aliens have very disparate appearances. Now, they always look the same – in books, movies, etc. And we wonder why everyone sees the same thing.
