And as for novels showing the true environmentalist mindset, and what at least some of them would be willing to do to the rest of us to get there, I would recommend these;

The Bridge by Santha Rama Rau (1970- hard to find)

The Stars Are Ours! by Andre Norton (1956- still in print)

Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy (1998- easiest of all to find. Also the most realistic, and frightening.)

Frankly, though, this would seem to fit the (implicit) environmentalist agenda. When the West is overrun, the internal combustion engine (if not all forms of power production more sophisticated than a mule) will likely be outlawed under the global Calliphate. If you didn’t need it in 7th Century Arabia you don’t need it today, no?

On the other hand, the failure of people with this mindset to procreate might actually serve to strengthen Western civilization, which defeats the anti-Western purpose. So I suppose the jury’s still out.
