Her name is Sunsara Taylor, and I’ve probably seen her at one or two of the protests we’ve covered. She’s cleaned up here on the Factor, but in the wild I’m sure she’s as hippie as the rest of them.
She’s with World Can’t Wait! (because it has bladder control issues or something) and World Can’t Wait! (to get back into life with Depends) is a bona fide Communist outfit. They have been lead organizers, along with the ANSWER crowd, in organizing the anti-war protests all over the country. They are not merely anti-Bush or even anti-American. They are not merely on the other side in this war. They are and will always be against anything and everything that America does until America is remade into Amerika and has a hammer and sickle on its flag. They make common cause with the jihadists now because the jihadists are our current number one enemy. Once the jihadists are defeated, World Can’t Wait! (to get to the nearest Port-O-Let) will size up the country’s mood, figure out what enemy might be lurking out there with evil designs on us, and Sunsara and her merry band of Stalinist throwbacks will make common cause with whoever that is. It’s just what they do. As Dennis Green is famous for saying, they are who we think they are. But we shouldn’t let them off the hook.
Laura gives Sunsara all the respect she’s due in this clip. Enjoy.
Update: Yes, this is the same Sunsara Taylor who accused the Bush administration of crushing baby testicles in Iraq. And yet her dissent remains oddly uncrushed. What a strange world.

The interview.
jaime on November 21, 2007 at 12:24 PM
Sadly that bloody hand reaching up did in that picture of your’s not belong to Sunsara Taylor, but to the United States of America…
doriangrey on November 21, 2007 at 12:26 PM
I agree. I don’t find this type of talk-over-your-guest “interview” to be entertaining or enlightening, and it seems to be very much Laura’s style.
And what was that business with asking the commie chick if she’s hiding slash marks under her wristband? How was that sly little insinuation edifying? Seemed crass to me. The girl deserved to be rebutted strongly and made to look like the fool she is, but that wasn’t a legitimate strategy.
aero on November 21, 2007 at 12:28 PM
I dont think she should have reduced herself to her level. Laura could have given her just enough rope to hang herself – she was going there with the troops/war crimes bit. Continue that line of thought from her. Instead of bickering; it makes a much better case.
lorien1973 on November 21, 2007 at 12:37 PM
Woops, I misspoke last night at the Jeri Thompson thread when I said the little commie hippie chick was with NION (Not in Our Name). when she is with The World Can’t Wait.
Both groups were founded by C. Clark Kissinger.
The Not In Our Name (NION) project — a self-described “peace movement” — was initiated on March 23, 2002 by the longtime Maoist activist C. Clark Kissinger, who is a member of the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP), a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist group calling for the overthrow of the U.S. government and its replacement with a Communist dictatorship.NION has a lot of support from useful idiots in Hollywood.
World Can’t Wait has a narrower mission, which is to organize “people living in the United States to take responsibility to stop the whole disastrous course led by the Bush administration.” The organization asserts that removing President Bush from office “will be like removing a forty-pound tumor from your gut.” WCW vows “to send Bush, Cheney and the rest of those fascists packing. … After that, there are people in ‘World Can’t Wait’ who are working for everything from reforming the Democratic party, to building a 3rd party, to revolution.”
In any case, I think Laura should have given a brief expose’ on WCW. While O’Reilly’s audience is pretty well-informed, I would imagine that a lot of people don’t realize just how entwined these “anti-war” groups are with the Communist Party. Moreover, a lot of people buy into the myth that Communists are so last century and don’t matter any more. They ain’t mainstream, but they are not entirely powerless either.

A couple of points about the comments at the top of the chain:
I was at Woodstock in 1969, one of the 5 people who wasn’t stoned, and I can say categorically that Sunsarra’s parents were not there.
That being said, I have no doubt that they are 60’s scum who fully indocrinated their daughter with hatred of their country.
I’m not certain, but I believe that “Sunsarra” is an Arabic word, meaning “simple tool”, one of not much value and totally useless.
Mustafa Hemmroid on November 21, 2007 at 12:45 PM
The best part of this interview went something like this:
Laura: Do you think our military is a force for good in the world or a force for evil?
Commie: I actually know a lot of soldiers who have come talk to me after returning from overseas. There are many soldiers who don’t support this administration and the war.
Laura: Why don’t you take that little orange t-shirt to the military base O’reilly just visited and see how positively the soldiers there react to your message?
Commie: {Silence}
As a member of the audience listening and watching that exchange I was immediately struck with the image of that little commie showing her face on a military base overseas. It was not a pretty image.
I feel sorry for this little commie though because there will come a day of reckoning for her. That will be a difficult day for her. It probably won’t come in the form of showing her face on a military base but someway, somehow its destined to happen. The shame she will feel is unimaginable.
I think she’s pretty hot though. I’d like to have a shot at converting her over to the good side. I’d be willing to dedicate about a week to it, give or take.
Zetterson on November 21, 2007 at 12:45 PM
Priceless. God help Laura’s husband (I assume there is one) if he were to ever piss her off.
.
GT on November 21, 2007 at 12:49 PM
Zetterson, how could you “convert” this “hot” chick? She’d be too busy flailing away and ranting to make a dent in her audio receptors.
And she is impenetratably wound too tight, if you catch my drift.
Mustafa Hemmroid on November 21, 2007 at 12:51 PM
“We can’t wait” to speak so we’re going to interrupt everyone!
desertdweller on November 21, 2007 at 12:57 PM
I couldn’t agree with you more.
While I don’t agree with Sunsara’s views, she’s really cute and obviously well-intentioned, if misguided. Laura (If that’s who you really are…LOL! My turn for the red-herring personal insuation for purely entertainment purposes, al la wristband comment) you really need to come down a couple pegs, just because you don’t agree with a person’s views, it doesn’t give you the right to act the way you do. Personal views do not equate to a person’s worth – I think that was a central point in the excerpts regarding crashing speeches???

Got the drift Mustafa Hemmroid. I was being a bit sarcastic. Truthfully I proabably couldn’t stand being in the same room with that young commie for more then 5 mins. The reason why I said what I said is because deep down I get some kind of satisfaction just knowing that to say those words to her:
would piss her off to no end.
Zetterson on November 21, 2007 at 1:23 PM
As much as I miss Michelle filing in for Bill on the Factor, I must admit that Laura is doing an excellent job as she is tough and smart, like Michelle. I certainly much prefer them rather than Ann Coulter to be the face of feminine intellectual conservatism as both are tough and smart and deal in ideas as opposed to insults and sound bites.
Laura basically got Susnsara Taylor to admit she is totally contemptuous of the right to free speech when it doesn’t agree with her views.
ptolemy on November 21, 2007 at 1:24 PM
Call me crazy, but I actually prefer the lefty loons who come right out and admit they hate they soldiers.
I honestly do. I cannot freaking stand the ever-popular “Love the troops, Hate the war!” bumper sticker slogan.
It pops up everywhere. People say it with a straight face, too. “I hate George Bush and Dick Cheney! They’re war criminals! The war is illegal! We’re occupying imperialists! … but I support the troops!”
Barf. Gag. Newsflash: they do NOT feel supported.
I once asked somebody: suppose you walk up to a football player and tell him you hate the stadium, hate the game, hate his coach and want him put in prison, and you want the game ended immediately … but you really support the team!
See how that goes.
I prefer the honest liberals. I truly do.

doriangrey on November 21, 2007 at 1:46 PM
This post needs a little “truth-in-advertising” work. When I saw in the title here that Laura had supposedly taken the Leftie du Jour to the woodshed, I was thinking in terms of reducing her to speechlessness or to a major admission or something.
No such luck.
I watched the tape, and don’t think that either one of them came out ahead. It was typical Fox News stuff: both of them talking/shouting past one another until it was time for a commercial. No respect, no courtesy, no civility, and in the end no resolution.
Which is why I don’t watch Hannity & Colmes anymore, and why I seldom watch the O’Reilly Factor (it didn’ help when Michelle stopped making appearances there, either).
Spurius Ligustinus on November 21, 2007 at 1:48 PM
HA! LMAO, too funny!
OK, now I feel really bad, I just watched:http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2007/03/far-left-moonbat-bush-is-torturing.html
and all I can say is that it’s REALLY wrong what Laura did to her now that I’ve seen that…. The way I was brought up, you DON’T pick on the retarded kids!!!
BAD LAURA!!!
Seriously though, if you want to have her on the air to show how stupid some of the Left can be, just be nice to her since she’s literally and idiot.
KMC1 on November 21, 2007 at 1:50 PM
Why is the CIA recruiting at Berkley? The ironic thing is that those clowns probably chased cia guys with the same political outlook that they have off the campus. The cia has been running a covert war against the Bush administration for the past 7 years. Valerie Plame was typical of what the cia has become. The cia approved Novak using her name in print and then called for the leak investigation. The cia is a hotbed of leftwing thought and recruiting at Berkely is just going to perpetuate that.
peacenprosperity on November 21, 2007 at 1:51 PM

I want to go find a liberal speaking somewhere and interrupt their speech.

So their spokesperson talks like Thindy Brady? I guess she probably is the most articulate one in their group.
foxforce91 on November 21, 2007 at 2:02 PM
It never ceases to amaze me, why these “Conservative” hosts never ask these Communists:
“Other than the purges, the gulags, the re-education camps, the elimination of private ownership, the collectivized starvation, the extermination of tens of millions, the suppression of speech, religion, etc., could you tell me what draws you to Communism?”
I guess that they’d rather just shout at them. I’m sick of flapping-jaws, screaming at each other. I quit watching Hannity and Colmes and O’Reilly. I quit listening to Ingraham.
The best way to expose a Communist, is to ask her what Communism has brought to the table. It works – every time.
OhEssYouCowboys on November 21, 2007 at 2:06 PM
You know what is truly sad? Is that she’s exactly that girl that we would have made fun of unmercifully in middle school and that may have made her the way she is. She’s now used to being the center of attention in a negative way and even thrives on it, probably. Kids: this is why you should be nice to everyone in school.
foxforce91 on November 21, 2007 at 2:06 PM
Is Sunsara auditioning for the Miss NC contest?
Alden Pyle on November 21, 2007 at 2:08 PM
PnP, good point about the CIA. My question is, if Bush is a dictator and the CIA is torturing people, why do they let themselves get run off like that? Why don’t they grab these people and throw ‘em into the gulags?
Tony737 on November 21, 2007 at 2:09 PM
If the guest weren’t so concerned with hitting her bullet points and speaking over Laura, she might have noticed that Laura wasn’t exactly the perfect host, either. Sunsara could have said, “If you don’t know whether waterboarding is torture, why do you object to my protesting it as torture?” She could have said, “Why are you conflating my organization’s actions and words with those of others we aren’t associated with?” She could have said, “Why should I let you finish your sentences when you won’t let me finish mine?” Such responses wouldn’t make Sunsara correct, but they’d sure blunt Laura’s points. Laura only “schooled” her by talking past her more successfully than she talked past Laura. Big deal; Laura won the illegitimate game of the person who talks loudest being the one whose free speech rights matter. Talk about lowering yourself to your opponent’s level. Neither guest nor host comes off well here.
calbear on November 21, 2007 at 2:15 PM
I agree, at least she is an honest idiot.
right2bright on November 21, 2007 at 2:27 PM
Were you watching the same video? Laura, as the host, begin asking some question and making statements to lay out the subject line…before Laura even got two sentences the commie chick was yelling. Laura responded by, this is how you work type of comment.
Listen again, it is the hosts job to first lay out the subject line…it is Laura’s program, not the commie chicks.
And walking in wearing a commie shirt, is not starting a fight? The commie chick (I have seen her before) M.O. is by baiting and then yelling over the host.
Wise up!
right2bright on November 21, 2007 at 2:32 PM
People make football distinctions all the time. They hate a team, but admire some of the players. Several women I know hate football, but cheer for Tom Brady when he’s on. Some never cheered for the Arizona Cardinals but look back with admiration for Pat Tillman.
The decision to go to war is a civilian decision. To question the merits of that decision is as critical, or more critical, than challenging an administration on immigration, the budget, abortion, or taxation. If a president could insulate himself from criticism by sending troops off to war, any war, then he would function in that capacity as a de facto tyrant.
dedalus on November 21, 2007 at 2:33 PM
Indeed. First thing which came to mind. Bill Cosby agrees with you too.
We know Pablo – she’s single, isn’t she? Dinner conversations must be fun.
Loved this fest – could list myriad of causes Sunsara could fight for, but why preach to the knowing?
Entelechy on November 21, 2007 at 2:39 PM
Speaking of Hillary Clinton, it’s telling how all these avowed communists weren’t making a peep during the Clinton years. I suppose it was close enough to Utopia that they weren’t agitated.
saint kansas on November 21, 2007 at 2:41 PM
My favorite part was when Laura asked about the wrist band- if it was covering up lacerations or what-insinuating Sunsara is a self-loathing cutter. Priceless.
NTWR on November 21, 2007 at 3:01 PM
Nice try (well, not really). But you don’t get to take only the parts of the analogy you like. Make it accurate.
Go find Tom Brady. Tell him you hate football. Tell him you hate Coach Belichick and want him imprisoned (a reasonable emotion if you ask me, but I digress). Tell him you think the very game in which he’s playing is illegal. Tell him you’re actively hoping he loses – or at the very least, you want him to leave the field before the game is over.
But, hey, you still support him.
That’s the analogy. Now ask Mr. Brady how supported he feels.
I’ve personally been on the receiving end of “hate the war, hate the President, support the troops!” kind of support. Have you? I never met one person who actually felt sincerely supported by those people. Not one.
Like I said, if you hate the war or hate the President, just say so. Leave it at that.
But I promise you one thing. When you tell the troops you support them, they’re either laughing at you … or feeling a little homicidal towards you. Understandably.
Man up and speak the truth. You don’t support the troops. Just say so. At least have the balls to be honest. This hippy dippy chick does.
Which why I kinda dig her. Plus, I like orange. A lot.
Professor Blather on November 21, 2007 at 3:03 PM
Good point. Let me rephrase.
I prefer liberals either too dumb or too angry to hide their true emotions, who decide to just let all the hate hang right out there where the world can see it.
I guess “honest” wasn’t the right word. How about “transparent?”
Have I mentioned that I kinda dig this chick? It makes me wonder: what percentage of dudes at these protests are really just there to score with hippy chicks?
Rough estimate: 42%.
Professor Blather on November 21, 2007 at 3:07 PM

Hannibal Smith on November 21, 2007 at 3:16 PM
Hilarious documented proof of this phenomenon here.
NTWR on November 21, 2007 at 3:19 PM
Your analogy is so narrow, I didn’t feel the need to work with it strictly. If you are focusing on hateful people then I don’t pretend to speak for them or of them.
My point was that challenging a policy is not tantamount diminishing a soldier. However, if one were to call someone unpatriotic for questioning an elected official that would be demagoguery.
I agree with your Brady analogy and with mine. Though I’m sure Tom Brady is busy enough with Giselle to not care whether either of us support him. I don’t particularly dig this hippie chick, but have dated some and am glad for the memories.

Laura should have said, “Are we going to have a conversation, or are you just going to ignore me and spout out phrases we could have merely read off your protest banners and web site?” or “If you’re going to talk at me rather than with me, there’s no reason to continue this discussion.” You don’t turn a polemic into a conversation by adding your own polemic. Either Laura doesn’t know this or, more likely, she does and believes that her audience would rather see a catfight than a real debate. Which is a rather sad conclusion about the preference of the television news audience, though, judging by the popularity of this item here, perhaps a correct one.
calbear on November 21, 2007 at 4:41 PM
That will never happen. I don’t have the quote with me but I was glancing through a book at the library and O’ Reilly was saying that the object of cable tv news shows was to get both liberal and conservative viwers into a mad rage the better to increase ratings (I paraphrase but that was the gist of it).

Laura let Dumbsara answer the first couple of questions but cut her off when it was obvious she was just going to rattle on forever. It’s Laura’s job to keep the show moving. After that there was just no point in letting hippy/commie chick launch into a 20 minute non-answer each time.

ReubenJCogburn on November 21, 2007 at 10:53 AM
To place that in perspective she was quoting out of context and interview with John Yoo responding to an absurd hypothetical question by a left wing moonbat interviewer
During a debate in Chicago with Notre Dame professor and international human rights scholar Doug Cassel, John Yoo gave the green light for the scope of torture to legally include sexual torture of infants.
CommentGuy on November 21, 2007 at 5:44 PM
Ugh. Good to see the comments here realize it, but sad to see how poorly Laura handled this. No need to restate what everyone else has above, but this just reinforces what I said in the other Laura L thread – it doesn’t do anyone any good to give these people exposure.
So what wants to set up a Sunsara fan site?? Hell, there isn’t even a Wiki page on her yet…

Joshua P. Allem on November 21, 2007 at 10:42 AM
I paused it just to make sure, she had a pen in her hand, perfect(my sentiments exactly)delivery, as she was doing it she was saying, “I thought these students were against torture,” (as Laura pointed at their handprint flag, symbol whatever ). Even if it was a Fruedian Finger Slip, it was subliminally awesome. Smart, beautiful and resourcful, she’s Laura Ingraham.
S.Taylor is a disrespectful ingrate, who is unable to articulate an argument worthy of swaying opinion.

Naw, I’m with you. She looks pretty cute there…..I think the glasses really help. Although I’ve seen other pics of her looking a bit more……weathered….part of the hippy lifestyle I suppose.
Trust me, if I was her boyfriend, I’d set her straight on a lot of this crap. Mostly because I wouldn’t tolerate any of her nonsense. With women like this, you need to follow the Patrice O’Neal guidebook for relationships, appropriately titled “B**** Management.”

Way to go Laura,
What rock do these so called “Americans” crawl out from?
When a guest doesn’t answer a direct question, they should receive a warning, then just terminate the guest if they don’t respect the protocal; get them off the program until they learn to have good manners, even if it takes “a hook”. Ha ! Ha ! Speaking louder and over someone trying to interview you is just rude, even a college student should have learned that..

Excellent audio, she didn’t know if she was coming or going. Typical.
4shoes on November 21, 2007 at 6:25 PM
I met her and debated with her a bit at a protest in Chicago. Attractiveness is subjective of course, but she’s miles ahead of most of her weathered, wild-eyed comrades, that’s for sure. Sadly I didn’t know who she was until after she was gone. I did know she was with WCW/RCP though, and she did not appreciate me bringing up her RCP connection. I believe that is downplayed significantly when they are recruiting for WCW. “Communist” still has a bad vibe when you’re trying to get old women to hold your signs.
She’s also a lot more calm and reasoned – again that’s a relative statement – than many of them, which is why, aside from her obvious desire for self-promotion, she gets to go on TV. Maybe she’ll be Chairman someday!
Even after it was clear I was on to her roots and prepared to call them out, she still tried to sell me on their program, focusing on my non-religious feelings and telling me about the Christian conspiracy inside the GOP. Read about the opposition, folks, even the crazies; they all have their effects on things. The RCP is a cult (much like the Maoism that inspires it) and many progressives and commies won’t work with them.
Someone from the Church of Subgenius should tell the RCP that there is already a cult with “Bob” as its leader.

I’d give it my best shot just to say I had. I’ve been around enough of them that I could probably lay it on pretty thick and have her believing I was the real thing.
Wow, what an experience that would be!

I used to have a Dead sticker on one side of the back of my car and a Bush/Cheney sticker on the other side. I was out one night and a girl gave me a ride to where I was parked and as we were sitting talking behind my car another woman I knew came along with a group of people. She was supposed to be a freind of mine. She didn’t know we were sitting there and she stopped and started bad mouthing me to these people and then tried to tear the Bush/Chgeney sticker off. I jumped out of the car and yelled and they all nearly shat themselves and then took off running.
Liberals. What a buch of dopes.

Laura is wonderful!
The orange t-shirt chick is giving me PTEWD (post traumatic ex-wife disorder)

true. but bringing them out just to relentlessly beat them like a dirty rug like laura did here is still a hundred times better than the typical naive conservative strategy of inviting them to speak their mind as a way of demonstrating our superior grace and tollerance for a pluralism of viewpoints. such are forms that the progressive left dedicated themselves to subverting and destroying way at the beginning of the last century.
for instance, castro described his approach to negotiation as “flipping the table”. under this strategy, you’d sit at the negotiating table and work towards comprimise while allied third parties mount a high-tension campaign of defamation and intimidation. when a comprimise is reached, instead of shaking hands, you “flip the table” and walk out on the process.
people who approach rule-based, republican systems in good faith make excellent opponents for this strategy. the “flipping of the table,” followed of course with propaganda about the supposed institutional unfairness of the negotiations, always provokes such people to eagerly arrange further negotiations in which they intend to prove their benign intentions.
and the process repeats in this fashion, with “compromise” always ratchetting in one direction.
there are only two ways to deal with a progressive: exclusion or abuse.
here’s how you talk to a progressive…*

Bill had this Loony on his show a while back.
She’s got to be a female Borat or a Rosie wanna-be.
No one can be THAT wrong. Can they ? ?

Fight? Schooled by Laura?
Geeze Pam you have a gift for understatement.
I haven’t seen some snot-nose airhead slapped around verbally like Laura did in a very long time. WOW!
It’s great to see someone so unapologetically show such serious fire to these nutballs. Thanks Laura.

I disagree. Laura didn’t just fill in on this one, she completely replaced Bill on this one.
I don’t ever recall Bill taking it to someone like this.
The commie twit deserved it.

I like Laura, but every time I see her, I am disappointed in how Bill and Fox handled Geraldo dissing Michelle. Money over quality and class.
Bill has dropped way down on my “classy guy” scale. Down to just above Geraldo.
If Laura was as strong of women as she pretends, she would have taken Bill to task over that Geraldo fiasco(You can bet Dhue won’t). I thought Laura and Michelle were on the same page with immigration.

Walking up to the stage with a banner isn’t rushing the stage. Laura had one line too…’so you denounce this?’ Do you think waterboarding is torture? Good questions…oops, not your show.
At least that kid believes in something and isn’t sitting around getting stupid playing xbox. Once she grows out of this stage she’ll probably be quite successful.

Wondered whatever happened to Sunsara. Still wondering whatever happened to ‘hot’ Sunsara. But I guess when you coat yourself in self-loathing all the time you’re just going to be too depressed to look or feel good about yourself anymore..

Yeah, I saw the bird flying after the clip. I wonder if Laura did that on purpose, and if she’ll get into trouble for it.
