As substantive as most of Larry’s interviews but in only a fraction of the time. Meet the man who may or may not have killed Kanye West’s mother. Wait, did I see “meet”? I meant “say goodbye to”.

Oh LAWZY he walked out on LARRY?

Pffft…big whoop. If anything, I give credit to the guy for not milking the incident like, sadly, some would in this day and age.

MadisonConservative on November 21, 2007 at 11:19 AM

Ha, awesome.

Vizzini on November 21, 2007 at 11:21 AM

why’d he bother to go on camera? I don’t get it.

LARRY KING LEAVE

I don’t either. I’m not a Larry fan, but it seems rather rude(?) to mislead the people putting on the program about what’s happening. As soon as he decided he wasn’t going to do what he said, he should have told them. If he did, and they decided to put him on to say what he did himself, that’s fine. Otherwise…

taznar on November 21, 2007 at 11:35 AM

Probably got some very late-breaking advice from his attorney not to go on the show.

flipflop on November 21, 2007 at 11:42 AM

Kanye told him to go on there and say that he will never be saying jack to anyone about anything, EVER. Otherwise he will go all 2Pac on his arse.

RW Wacko on November 21, 2007 at 11:54 AM

this guys future isnt bright…

Much ado about nothing…

flipflop on November 21, 2007 at 11:42 AM

Exactly. If he really just cared about them, then he wouldn’t have gone on the show in the first place.

With this segment, he gets the news out there that incorrect information is being spread without having to prove that or explain the truth and he also gets to look sympathetic to the family of the woman he killed.

Esthier on November 21, 2007 at 12:47 PM

Black surgeons don’t care about Larry King.

The only surprising thing to me is why don’t more people walk off Larry King’s show. Like a Jerry Seinfeld after King made the stupid “so your show wasn’t cancelled?” remark.

The only thing I don’t get from the doctor is that announced that he wouldn’t answer any questions, which he knew going in he would be asked. So why even make the trip to the studio? Someone alert Al Gore and the global warming police to the irresponsible use of fossil fuels. He may not get responsible for West’s death, but to the lefty-enviro-loons, he committed crimes against the planet that is far worse….;-)

I think it was GREAT!

I loved the effect of the guest appearing on his program to tell Larry, and by default, the viewing audience, in his own words, that he decided to honor the West family’s wishes and not to talk about it!

That makes more sense than leaving it up to Larry “LazyBoy” King to fabricate the explanation and get it wrong.

Frankly, out ten year old daughter, even our seven year old son, would be a more skilled interviewer than Larry King!

With talent like that, I should have MY own nationally televised program!

I don’t get why people are hounding this guy. people die from surgeries everyday, and doctors get sued like crazy everyday, especially ob/gyns and surgeons. They tell you this, the first day of medical school. I just don’t get why this guy is being maligned for nothing.

The woman died, it’s sad…but I’m sure she signed a consent form detailing all the risks associated with the surgery, including death. This is just crazy…

Chudi on November 21, 2007 at 3:13 PM

Petulant little prick. Why’d he go there anyway? Guess Kanye’s been coaching him.

LtE126 on November 21, 2007 at 3:21 PM

I love the fact that he walked off as it threw Larry into a tizzy..But I too wonder why he went on the show. He can not say anything about this case as there is still the patient/dr confidentiality involved and he shouldn’t do anything to open himself up to anymore lawsuits. I did learn that not everything that has been reported about him has been the truth. He graduated from University of Michigan Med School, so obviously he doesn’t have too shabby an education. He isn’t board certified for plastic surgery, but many of the “most sought after” doctors aren’t either. I watched one of his classmates explain about the board certification vs not certified and he indicated that the certification does not necessarily give you a better doctor..example: there are brain surgeons out there that will give you a better face lift than a board certified plastic surgeon…This guy has an uphill battle, I’m not going to be too quick to pass judgement on him. I am sorry that Dr. West passed away, but we don’t know the full extent of her medical condition…

Pam on November 21, 2007 at 3:36 PM

larry got OWNED.

madmonkphotog on November 21, 2007 at 3:58 PM

Idiot. To think that this guy is allowed to operate on people is truly scary.

gajaw999 on November 21, 2007 at 4:19 PM

Anybody who walks out on Larry can’t be all bad. Mostly bad, maybe.

Splashman on November 21, 2007 at 6:08 PM

Five bucks says he wouldn’t have walked out on Oprah.

radjah shelduck on November 21, 2007 at 6:30 PM

Was it the West family wishes or his Attorney warning him of ‘Self incrimination’?

You think he can do some work on Rosie?

Or Sir Paul McCartney…or Ringo Starr…or George Harrison’s widow…or (don’t stop me now, I’m on a roll…)

Frankly, our ten year old daughter, even our seven year old son, would be a more skilled interviewer than Larry King!

Chris Farley was a more skilled interviewer than Larry King!!

“Do you remember when you operated on Kanye West’s mother, and she died, and Kanye intimidated you into walking off of Larry King Live?”

“Yes.”

“That was awesome.”
