Vets of U.S.S. Intrepid present flag vigilante with a flag of his very own

Put away that turkey, kids. This year it’s red meat for Thanksgiving!

Veterans who served on the U.S.S. Intrepid aircraft carrier presented Jim Brossard with a certificate and flag for cutting down a Mexican flag that was flying over a U.S. flag at a Reno bar.

“To fly the American flag underneath the Mexican flag, it just defies everything,” said Wayne Erven, West Coast representative of the U.S.S. Intrepid Association Inc. “Our flag goes on top. That’s the honor we give our flag.”…

Brossard said he has no regrets.

“If I hadn’t done that then I’m afraid it wouldn’t have gotten done,” he said. “I was ready and fully willing to accept any consequences, legally or any other, that might have come in my direction.”

I wonder why the shop owner hasn’t pressed charges. Could it be that there’s a “documentation” issue? Or perhaps he knows that it would bring a firestorm of righteous indignation from every American with an ounce of patriotism?

Brossard was just practicing a little “civil disobedience”. The left tramples property rights all day every day and gets a free pass. Can’t a patriot step just over the line once in a while?

The Mexican tried an in-your-face stunt and got slapped. And obviously we all enjoyed the magic of the moment.

Sorry, but I beg to differ. He knew exactly what he was doing when he made the conscience decision to place the Mexican Flag above the American Flag.

I tend to give some of these guys a break, he never filed suit, he didn’t fight it out, he probably did not think it though like we are with time to analyze. He probably raised the flags, with his misplaced pride, and kept his on top.
Or…he is a member of LaRaza, and this was a signal to all others members to begin the revolution. Our man stopped the revolution and saved thousands of lives and kept that city from falling into Mexico’s hands…man is it the holiday yet?

Now if only folks like Brossard could give a civil disobedience smackdown to idjits like Spitzer and Newsome, who want to disregard immigration law and encourage further “undocumented” migration North.

Meanwhile I will keep saying it until I am blue in the face (and I don’t give a damn if anyone calls me a broken record for it):

Open borders = infiltration by terrorists = attacks on US soil using MANPADS, biological agents, and/or “dirty” bombs.

Just ONE successful MANPAD shot at a 747 flying into LAX on a nice clear afternoon = billions of dollars of liabilities and lost business to airlines = recession.

If I were them, that is what I would be working towards, if I could get my hands on a good SA-18 Grouse.

Yeah maybe he was just displaying the flags of the two countries he loves and put the Mexican one on top without thinking about it. (I’m not being sarcastic here, he deserves the benefit of the doubt until we know his intent was malicious.)
