Actually, a property owner does indee have the right to forcibly eject trespassers. He will probably be no-billed in an assault charge.

Seems the news team claims they moved to what they believed was a public access road right after the property owner told them to leave. Of course, I’m watching the video and seeing no signs of them moving, just ignoring. It looks like they’re on a dirt road in the video, so maybe there was an earlier confrontation prompting them to move to that location?

KENS5 is a San Antonio station (CBS), but that happened just east of Seguin off Hwy 90. The cameraman’s wrist was broken in the incident. I’d say that’s uncalled for, but it could’ve been worse. I knew one crazy guy out there who had a canon on his roof…

The one time a San Antonio news station is reporting something that doesn’t involve a miraculous incarnation of the Virgin Mary on a tortilla or something, and this guy has to go and kick them off the property!

Doesn’t he know that they had to search far and wide to find 300 square feet of Central Texas earth absolutely devoid of miraculous naturally-occurring images of the Holy Mother?!

I was born and raised in San Antonio Texas and when I joined the Army at 18 years old and went north for basic training, people I met were always surprised that I was a Texan, because I sounded more like a yankee. No one in my family had an accent except for my dad’s mom who was born and raised in Cajun country and it was not a heavy accent.
Most of my family go back to the beginning of Texas and includes Ben Milam.

Well, it’s true that if the property owner didn’t want them there, it is trespass. However, they were just reporting a news story, so I’m not really sure what the big deal is?
As soon as they’re done, they’re just going to leave anyway. But it really did make me mad when the guy just ignored the property owner and then the anchorwoman started claiming assault….. Arrogant.

Assault? Nope. As a Texas CHL holder and overall “gun enthusiast” I would’ve at least exercised my right to display my Remington 1100. I think that would’ve stopped his story short.
