Video: Morons in clown make-up show the CIA a thing or two

Has anything done more in recent years to break the crushing tedium of anti-war protests than the torture debate? With this incident, we now have as many documented cases of leftist idiots waterboarding each other in the past 10 days as we do of the CIA waterboarding Al Qaeda in the past six years. I’m cautiously optimistic that these little passion plays have permanently replaced the giant papier-mache puppet head as the hallmark of liberal “dissent.”

Our scene unfolds during a CIA recruiting session at UC Santa Barbara, as nascent nutroots students commandeer the front of the room for some impromptu torture and a mock rescue by the Leaders of Tomorrow. Take it away, Indymedia:

The two CIA recruiters heading the meeting appeared to be caught completely off guard. They packed up and began to leave, followed first by a few of the students who had come for the recruiting session, and then by the entire clown-and-student insurgency, which proceeded to disrupt every attempt at meeting in other parts of UCSB’s U-Cen, or University Center, building, by surrounding CIA agents and confronting them with a battery of questioning and shame, making it clear that torturers will not be tolerated at UC Santa Barbara. When it was apparent that any attempt at recruitment would fail, the meeting dispersed and one agent was escorted off the university by the chanting, confrontational insurgency.

When it was clear that the agent was no longer a threat to impressionable University students, the crowd returned to the U-Cen to forcibly eject the other agent, only to discover that he had already left as well. The former meeting room was occupied and used for a networking and debriefing session, where the insurgency was able to use the energy of the event to lay down the foundations for future resistance.

Kudos to the crack UCSB security staff for so diligently protecting students’ rights to be informed of their career options. Follow the Indy link and scroll down for video of the insane clown posse hounding the recruiter on the way to his car. Here’s the “torture” scene, which certainly captures the terror of the practice and the seriousness of the debate.

Don’t bother them with actual facts now…Funny, I’ve tried that tidbit of truth on some leftie friends of mine, and they just say “How do really know how many they waterboarded?”

Not for nuttin’, but who are the one’s taking away other peoples “rights” most of the time? These fools seem to be infringing on that the most…

Saddam used to have his guards rip off people’s skin with wire and feed babies to hungry dogs.

Your can eithre have ou country waterboarding terrorists or you can have terrorists torturing US civilians and military

Which do you chose ?

William Amos on November 18, 2007 at 10:03 PM

Wow. The defeatocrat party’s supporters sure are a nutty bunch of children.

Nancy, Dingy Harry and the rest of them must be so proud.

91Veteran on November 18, 2007 at 10:13 PM

Ugh, effing losers.

When it was clear that the agent was no longer a threat to impressionable University students,

Odd for leftist college kids to admit that the overwhelming leftist student body is made up of impressionable idiots who will buy whatever you sell them. And we’re back to why the student body is so leftist. Usually they can tell us a thing or two because they’re so “progressive”, but if they talk to the CIA suddenly college students are impressionable, huh, kids?

How many times have we seen moonbats out protesting IN DEFENSE of these same tactics used by what they call “worker’s paradises?”

The real irony behind this idiocy is that socialists actually DO practice indiscriminate torture against large numbers of random people. That’s always necessary when the mere act of independant enterprise is called a crime.

logis on November 18, 2007 at 10:14 PM

Honestly, this is ridiculous. These children need a good spanking. When can we start cutting aid to campuses that pull this crap on the military and government?

Laura on November 18, 2007 at 10:23 PM

After the several swirlys a year these lefties got in High School acting like waterboarding is horrible is just that much more hypocritical.

logis on November 18, 2007 at 10:14 PM

heh…That’s another thing…this guy I play online chess with, from Britain, is a major defender of Communism. And like the moonbats, he just makes excuses. My favorite: “Communism never got a fair shake”…saying it’s been the West’s fault that it never really got a chance.

But moonbats like the clowns here are infringing on students rights at potential job opportunities…much like campuses that ban the ROTC. And all the while, they’ll complain about Bush and the “neocons” are taking our rights away.

JetBoy on November 18, 2007 at 10:33 PM

Here we go again, socialist liberals making the decision for everyone instead of letting the poor innocent kids make up their own minds.

I agree Laura, when is the money to these progressive styes going to get cut?

4shoes on November 18, 2007 at 10:36 PM

It is amazing what people will do when there are no consequences. When someone starts serving them knuckle sandwichs they’ll stop instantaneously.

I remember when a handshake was a legal contract. I remember when your word was the most important thing you owned.

When someone insulted your wife he got what he deserved and no one thought twice about it. This has to stop. The ever present fear of a lawsuit has nuetered our culture and emboldened these fools.

Theworldisnotenough on November 18, 2007 at 10:37 PM

“Communism never got a fair shake”

My answer to that one is that probably one of those 100 million people communism has killed had the leadership qualities that would have led us all into a perfectly glorious revolutionary new world. Shame that didn’t work out, huh? :-)

Laura on November 18, 2007 at 10:52 PM

When it was clear that the agent was no longer a threat to impressionable University students,

The agents were the threat?? Yeah right.

Rick on November 18, 2007 at 10:54 PM

That was really a test to see if the potential recruits had the stuff to take on the protesters. They all failed.

They’re taking away your job opportunities, interfering with your right to peaceably assemble. Hand them their heads in a sack instead of just walking out of the room.

TexasDan on November 18, 2007 at 10:59 PM

These kids are such losers…these are the ones that will have to go back home and live in their parent’s basements after graduation.

Laura on November 18, 2007 at 10:23 PM

No, these ADULTS should have been arrested. And the university’s failure to do so proves that they can’t be trusted to handle their own security.

logis on November 18, 2007 at 11:53 PM

To think that I got insulted when univ. police called us clowns while breaking up a sit-in at Ohio U. in the 70s. Of course what we wanted was 24hr. visitation in freshman women’s dorms… but…

Hah, thanks for posting this Allah, it was too good to pass up and brightens one’s day when wading through the muck of wacko blogs and Indymedia sites.

I thought at first your headline was “Mormons in clown make-up.” I was all “how did I miss that?!?”

My favorite: “Communism never got a fair shake”…saying it’s been the West’s fault that it never really got a chance.
JetBoy on November 18, 2007 at 10:33 PM

Communism stopped being an “economic theory” a very long time ago. Today it is a religion.

A century ago, Collectivism might have seemed like a potentially viable economic system to some - as it turned out - horrifically misguided people. (But that was back when phrenology was considered a potentially viable medical diagnosis tool.)

It’s amazing how similar the prime tenet of Communism is to the prime tenet of Islam: “Do ANYTHING it takes to gain more land, slaves and converts for the cause. It doesn’t matter whether that results in a Hellish existence for the time being, because once the last bastion of opposition to our belief has been overcome, the world will (somehow, magically) turn into a giant Paradise.”

Likewise, western liberalism is based on Judeo-Christian ethics with all the spirituality sucked. What you’re left with is a three-year-old’s understanding of Christianity: “Everyone should share all of his toys (except me); love everyone (except the people who say I should behave); and if I’m nice to mean people, then good things will (somehow, magically) always happen.”

Islam’s relentless aggression was tailor made to predate upon the perceived weaknesses of the Judeo-Christian tendency toward passivity. By exactly the same token, Communists subvert the turn-the-other-cheek attitude preached by followers of the liberal faith. And that is not a coincidence.

91Veteran on November 19, 2007 at 1:29 AM

What truly amazes me is that these morons think that George Bush invented “waterboarding”, “wiretaps” and all the nasty little things they protest. Do you think they’d wake up a bit to learn that AlGore and Bill Clinton knew of and approved the same things when they were in office? No, I didn’t either.

Buzzy on November 19, 2007 at 1:44 AM

The funny thin is, most of these idiots probably believe that the “outing” of Valerie Plame was a crime and a horrible disaster and that she’s a hero.

Mmmmmmm…savor the cognitive dissonance

Sean M. on November 19, 2007 at 2:00 AM

“Morons”? You mean like at AOSHQ?

Ali-Bubba on November 19, 2007 at 2:17 AM

Bulldoze UC Santa Barbara.

Nobody’d miss it anyway.

georgej on November 19, 2007 at 3:44 AM

I’d get on the phone and pretend to order to bring in the ‘water-boarders’…, making sure to mention that there are vid-cams to be confiscated, and just sit with my legs crossed, occasionally, but obviously, glancing at my watch and looking at the entrance, as though expecting comrades to come in and do it, for real, to the to the protesters. Bet it would cause a delicious streak of fear in them. :D

Rugged Individual on November 19, 2007 at 3:45 AM

I say we should STOP WATER BOARDING IMMEDIATLY!!

We should switch over to warmed lard boarding.

TheSitRep on November 19, 2007 at 6:50 AM

Those poor misguided kids! I would love to be there for their first job interview. Who on Earth would hire those fruitcakes?

Zorro on November 19, 2007 at 7:06 AM

I’m really gonna miss those papier-mache puppet heads.

I’m just glad that people like these students are willing to do the thinking for me deciding what ideas are appropriate, and what ideas are forbidden form public discourse.

Heck, if you let both sides be aired freely and openly, who knows what people might decide. Obviously, for any good debate, it’s necessary to silence the wrong side as soon as possible. How else can you ensure that everyone decides correctly?

(yes, that was sarcasm… I’m not sure why, but some people need a tag when I have comments like these)

gekkobear on November 19, 2007 at 10:04 AM

it seems to me that the recruiters missed a golden opportunity to demonstrate what a little martials arts training can accomplish when outnumbered.

striper1 on November 19, 2007 at 10:41 AM

I am surprised that nobody has asked “Why is the Agency even bothering to recruit at UCSB?” It is notoriously left wing even by pinko UC system standards. Is their goal to recruit whiny liberal female drama majors?

Lehuster on November 19, 2007 at 11:07 AM

Lehuster on November 19, 2007 at 11:07 AM

They recruited Valerie Plame - so yes. They probably feel they need a very diverse group of spys.

revolutionismyname on November 19, 2007 at 11:52 AM

What their brainwashed little minds can’t seem to comprehend is the Cia’s counterparts,(terrorist),are a thousand times worse and would kill them in a heartbeat should they open their mouths in opposition to them.
When they bite the hand that protects them, they will eventually get bit in the a$$.

leanright on November 19, 2007 at 12:40 PM

Why not start expelling these morons. Mommy and daddy will do some waterboarding of their own on their candied asses.

RobCon on November 19, 2007 at 1:06 PM

If we substituted beer for water, would it be OK then?

Kristopher on November 19, 2007 at 1:28 PM

Clearly not the UCSB that I attended in the late ’80s…this is more of a Berkley stunt frankly.

While I appreciate their Gaucho spirit I’d prefer that they leave it at the pep rallies. Their efforts to interfere with the CIA’s recruitment meetings are rather unbecoming and discourteous to their fellow students.

Biffstir on November 19, 2007 at 4:03 PM

Lehuster on November 19, 2007 at 11:07 AM

Not sure about your comment Lehuster. Perhaps you’re confusing UCSB with Cal Berkley? Not a notoriously lefty University at all….

Biffstir on November 19, 2007 at 4:06 PM

UC Santa Barbara doesn’t have a football team. What did you expect out of their students?
