Hey Robert -
I emailed our friends at islamispeace.co.uk earlier this week regarding a story in the Times of London (’Gays should be hanged, says Iranian minister’).
What can I say? My Islamophobia was aggravated when I read that story, so I went to “challenge my assumptions.” I ran a bunch of searches on the site to find out more about their stand on the issue, by there’s not a word about homosexuality.
No response yet, but I’ll keep you posted.

Yes Islam is Peace for as long as western governments are falling all over themselves trying to appease them. But don’t let there be a lull in the appeasement process because peace will quickly yield to death and destruction.

How can Islam condemn terrorism? Mohammed was Islam’s first terrorist, and Muslims strive to be like Mohammed. They are simply following Mohammeds example. Mohammed proclaimed on his death bed. “I have been made victorious with terror”(Bukhari, Vol 4,52 #220)

It’s chilling, this is Islam, they blow you up or chop off your head, all the while lying and screaming about how oppressed they are to be sharing the planet with such disbelievers… I don’t see them ever changing and translating their religion any other way, it’s so blatantly written to use violence or any means to spread their beliefs, and we’ve seen how they co-exist with people who don’t believe how they do, ie, the dhimmis. Frightening.

Well done again Robert. Everyone in the UK needs to see the entire series by you concerning this ‘Islam is peace’ campaign. If Islam really were peace, they would not need a campaign to ’sell it’ as such. People would just know it.
I hope that the people who promote this campaign will eventually turn their propaganda machine against those that they claim ‘don’t represent true Islam’. They should be in Saudi Arabia telling people that Christianity is peace. They should be in Iran telling people that Christianity is not at war with Islam as so many like to say through the ‘Crusades’.
I’m not holding my breath on that one. But this is not going to end well. Eventually people will wake up to this threat posed by Islam. By then it will be too late to do anything peacefully and the new Crusade will occur. I’m not calling for it, I just see what is happening, and I see it as inevitable.

This whole campaign is just a bunch of demands on everyone else. Is there a single admission that Muslims in Britain need to make any changes at all? Or is responsiblity entirely on everyone else?
The sad thing is that this campaign will probably be pretty effective. The creepy but slick Big Brother-ish graphics and voice-over make a good vehicle for this twisted message that is designed to prey upon both guilt and fear.

This islam is Peace campaign is so sneaky in its wording that westerners won’t pick up on the true meaning until it is to late and we are feeling the effects.

Robert Spencer is brilliant, as usual, by making the complex understandable. Unless & until the greater muslim community loudly & aggressively condemns those violent terrorists who claim to do allah’s bidding, then slick ‘islam is peace’ videos will be seen as nothing more than propaganda.

I read Jihad Watch and Dhimmi Watch every day – along with Hotair and MM. So much is veiled and glossed over by the MSM that without you guys we’d all be in the dark about the threat that, from the WH down to local authorities, deny exists. Our local church had a series of seminars recently about how we can all just get along. Decided to pass it by for fear I’d open my mouth and find myself excommunicated. Many people are aware, or at least have a nagging feeling, but are afraid to speak out. Sadly, for all of us, there is not one frontrunner in the race for the WH that is speaking out nor revealing what they’d really do in another major attack, much less a small one. We have an uphill battle ahead.

The current threat in the U.S. is legal action – in the same blackmail format. This should be as vigorously opposed as direct threats of violence.
Muslims who demand special services should be reminded that we have a tradition of taxing those who benefit. When the cries for pork-free schools, foot baths, and Muslim-only accommodations arise, these should be joined by loud demands for a Muslim head tax!

This effort at deprogramming is not limited to the UK. I can’t help but notice the demographic shift over the last few years. More and more veils are visible. That veil which symbolizes the willful disposal of humanity and any vestiges of femininity. It clearly symbolizes the division between believer and infidel. The veil projects hate in the most vile misguided shameful effort at serving God.
CAIR and Saudi petro dollars flood the US with diabolical messages purporting all anti-terror efforts are seen as anti-muslim, anti-islam, trumping common sense with the ultimate lie “islam is peace”. Everything we see, read about and experience regarding this ideology proves ultimately destructive to the individual.
If the US is so anti-Islam or anti-muslim, why are more and more muslims coming here? There is no need for such charm offensives from Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus etc. – only muslims feel the need to hard sell the ultimate lie. Islam has proven itself to be pure poison, the religion of power, pain, perpetual grievance, perceived victimhood and infantile petulance.
Dhimmi inducing PR campaign is but the tip of the iceberg. The Arab effect or libel tourism is another angle with which Islam seeks to silence critics. See the movie “The Libel Tourist” to see how petro dollars impact western norms. Another openly accepted avenue is through Sharia banking . . .
The camels nose is under the tent folks. Perhaps, some will start to connect the dots when they see sharia’s tentacles in their wallets . . .British bank rocked by panic withdrawals
Recall last year . . .Chancellor Gordon Brown last week called for Britain to become the international centre of Islamic finance. . . . and then this call for caution . . .Muslim-friendly mortgages could turn out to be costly That islamic mortgage shell game isn’t working out so well - eh?
