That isn’t bait for me. The first thing I thought was that Mitt isn’t getting a very good return on his money. I expect the long knives will come out and Mitt will attack his immigration, tax and spend, and nanny state policies. Huck will have to spend his limited funds to counter those ads, and he will just fade away.

BUT, the right message will ALWAYS win out over money, and Huck may be able to pull it off.

Amazed how many people have been suckered into hating Huckabee by the Club for Growth….

I’ll admit, they are effective. Sadly, they do so by sacrificing their ethics.

Okay, instead of telling us how easily fooled we are for believing the word of a respected, non-partisan advocacy organization, how about you tell us why exactly you support Governor Huckabee and convince us to do the same.

Nobody hates Huckabee and the views of him are because of him, not because of the so called “Club for Growth”.

And I seriously hope Edwards doesn’t get the Dem nomination either. If Wolf wanted to spread around the tough questions tonight, he could ask Edwards whether he will support the Democratic Nominee if it isn’t him. That would be fun to watch.

I think this is reaching the point where someone like Rush needs to step in and inform the base on who this guy really is.

Unfortunately, I get the sense Rush likes Huckabee! It’s hard to believe since no one hates the food police and global warming alarmists more than Rush and I’ve never known him to veer from his principles.

Here’s what he said yesterday:

RUSH: You know, Monday of this week, I posed a little question. I said, “Folks, looking at the presidential race, what happens if Huckabee wins Iowa? You realize how that would throw all the conventional wisdom out the window? And what happens if Hillary is not the Democrat nominee?” Everybody’s got all this stuff already over with. And, lo and behold, “Mike Huckabee, is making a big move on Mitt Romney’s long-held position as the front-runner among Iowa Republicans, according to a new CBS News/New York Times poll. While Romney still holds the lead at 27 percent in the poll, Huckabee comes in a strong second at 21 percent.” Just another example, folks, of how, if you listen to this program you are on the cutting edge of societal evolution.

This is the story he was referring to.

I’m dumbfounded and hope that its just a case of my antennae needing a tune up, and that I am misreading him.

You may be right. Pump and dump. Holding back with this till if he gets the nomination and then unload. Hillary would destroy him.

So his 29,000 sq ft house wasn’t big enough for him? Or was it that he didn’t like living across from some common folks? Or has he found a barber who will give him an $800 haircut if he flies out to him?

It could be wishful thinking, but I sense that people are sick of being pushed around by the Clintons and they may feel strong enough to finally tell them to sod off. Certainly Obama and Edwards aren’t going to give her a pass, so all in all it should be an entertaining evening.

“If she can’t handle the heat during a Democratic contest, wait until the Republicans really start going after her,” he told TV Newser. “If she’s the nominee.”

There is hope.

It’d be nice, though, if he could have made his veiled warning without also giving campaign advice.

It’s not wrong of the Clinton’s to make their threats just because it could hamper the Democrats’ chances next year.

Except that I will bet that there isn’t a single tough question asked of her Thighness in this debate. Her staff has made sure that never happens again.

I hope Wolf Blitzer lives up to his tough talk.

Blitzer, who said he had not been directly contacted by the Clinton campaign, called the New York Democrat “a sophisticated, strong politician.” But he also issued his own veiled warning.

“If she can’t handle the heat during a Democratic contest, wait until the Republicans really start going after her,” he told TV Newser. “If she’s the nominee.”

Blitzer also defended Russert against criticism by Bill Clinton.

“I think Russert was doing his job,” he said. “He was trying to follow up and be Tim Russert. He asks tough questions. That’s what people want. I admire him.”

There is hope.

The Governor opposes and will not tolerate employers who hire illegals. They must be punished with fines and penalties so large that they will see it is not worth the risk.

with the Huckabee who took so many contributions from Tyson Foods and basically said that anyone who did no roll out the red carpet for illegals is anti- American and anti-Christian.

I am still waiting for someone in the media or one of the other candidates to do a compare and contrast on this. This man has either had the biggest across the board change of heart on illegal “immigration” that I have ever seen or is the biggest liar that I have ever seen. Those are the only two possibilities.
