I think Spitzer’s budget director mis-spoke when he said:

“Governor Spitzer believes that now is not the right time to be increasing sales taxes on New Yorkers,”

Spitzer promised not to raise taxes, right?

Actually, I don’t. I don’t want anyone to be robbed, raped or lose their life so that Spitzer can be driven from office.

No doubt you don’t mean it that way either, MC, which is why it is clear this law flouting, criminal sympathizing, felon enabling, meglomaniacal Democratic Party governor with abolsutist tendencies needs to have his conduct in office reviewed with a fine-toothed comb and as soon as it has been satisfactorially proven his conduct makes him unfit for office, he should be thrown out of the Governor’s mansion at the soonest possible moment.

He can then go back to his daddy paid penthouse to live out his days in ignominy and, if he wants, though I doubt it, embarrassment.

It will only take one killer released under the Spitzer watch going on a murder spree. Particulary if children are killed as a result of the spree (God willing that won’t happen). I note with some bemusement that the Spitzer mouthpiece attributes the rise in releases to commissioners being freer than they were under that evil old George Pataki. Not once did this moron consider that perhaps there was a legitimate reason the number of parolees was half of what it is under Governor Dingbat.

Asked to explain the increase, one Spitzer insider said, “The commissioners may feel freer now to exercise their discretion. The only thing we expect of our agencies and our commissioners is to follow the law.”

So as long as the parole commissioners follow all the procedures the Spitzer administration doesn’t take issue with the number of dangerous felons being released back into society?

That’s interesting logic. Just because a killer is eligible for parole that doesn’t mean he/she should get it. How many times has RFK’s killer come up for parole? 13 I think. Too bad for Sirhan Sirhan the Ambassador Hotel wasn’t in NY State or that Hillary didn’t need the PLO vote when she was out peddling pardons to terrorists back in 2000.

Hey! Can I also point out that Brooklyn has gotten noticeably more violent this year? I got mugged two weeks ago right outside my Park Slope apartment building where I’ve lived for years without ever, ever feeling unsafe. The cops told me stories about violence in the area that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

God help NYC if the next mayor is a straight up Democrat. Having RINO Bloomberg is bad enough, but if a Spitzer type gets in? Oy.
