Good fun this morning on Morning Joe. The crew discusses the Hillary potted plant scandal (and Newsbusters catches a conspiratorial wink and nod in the clip) and John Edwards getting booed at the John Mellencamp concert over the weekend. Between these two and Obama’s demagoguery on the one hand and jumping up and down on the third rail on the other, I’d say the Democrats had a bad weekend in Iowa.
Too bad for the Democrats that what happens in Iowa doesn’t stay in Iowa.

It’s working for me. The server may be hiccuping.

Hillary’s use of plants will haunt her for the duration of her campain. For sure the MSM will soft petal for her, but her opponents won’t let it drop.
John Edwards getting booed was hilarious, no real effect on his candidacy, but a good belly laugh for me.

It’s working now. Edwards looked uncomfortable and clueless on stage.

You ought to get a rebate for these concerts if you wanted to hear music and not, to coin a phrase, “hot air.”

Nah, the MSM will give her a pass, and she’ll just blame it on an overeager staffer and that she in no way condoned the tactic. Of course if a Republican candidate did the same, it would then be SCANDALOUS! and worthy of a 3 week MSM investigation.

My girlfriend and I were at this concert. It was in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, 2 Nov. Mellencamp was doing an acoustic version of his “Small Town” hit when he stopped about half way through and tried to segway into introducing Edwards as a guy from a small town. The boos overwhelmed the applause. Everyone around us was booing. I was anxious to see what the local rag (The Des Moines Register) would say the next day in the concert review. We could not find a review of the concert but did find a small inconspicuous mention of this incident in the political coverage section, way in the back, bottom right corner. If this had been a Republican candidate, a flop like that in a public forum would have been red meat for this publication. It would have been the lead story. I’m a news hound, but I stopped getting this paper a long time ago. The Register used to be a respected, thought provoking, insightful, inspiring, well written paper. One I was proud to acknowledge and looked forward to reading. It stopped being that back when Geneva Overholser was appointed editor and it became a blatantly biased liberal publication. I thought I’d miss reading the paper every day, I don’t. It has become nothing but a weak watered down version of its glory days full of ads and, with the exception of two, maybe three writers, a light weight piece of garbage.

KP must have read your comment, because she just used it almost word for word to defend Hillary on FOX.
