The Wall Street Journal presents: The life and times of Norman Hsu
posted at 9:30 am on November 12, 2007 by Allahpundit
There’s not much here that we don’t already know but it’s nice to have it all in one place. For those who choose to dive in, let’s make a game of it: find the two killer takeaway lines, the joint epitaph for this clusterfark that should, but won’t, haunt Hillary and every other seedy Democrat who took his money, posed for pictures, and ignored the alarm bells that led the WSJ and LA Times to his door. Skimming this post beforehand might help. A hint: They’re both quotations.

Is this one you’re referring to? Insofar as, at least as I recall, the entire Hillary! position was that she had no idea he existed/had never met him or only briefly/slightly?

You got ‘em. How many people invested in his schemes, I wonder, based partly on the fact that prominent politicians were willing to vouch for his credibility?
Allahpundit on November 12, 2007 at 9:47 AM
He had tht perception thingy down pat. No wonder the Dems fell for “The Shrimp” hook, line and sinker. It takes one to know one.

Hillary and her gang of thieves live in the same slime pit as Hsu but he got caught, so now they must evict him. Don’t fret, another equally slimy occupant will soon move in.

I suppose if you’re main desire in life is to have tons of money and you couldn’t care less about the people you screw to get it, then I could see how a speech by the biggest money/power grubber Shrillary Clinton might move you.

I wonder if Hsu was gifted an i-Phone by the Clinton campaign for all his “hard work”?
FishFearMe on November 12, 2007 at 10:38 AM
^^^^Gratuitous i-Phone reference. Welcome back from vacation, Allah.

This is a good summary of the stuff that has already surfaced but there are websites with a whole lot more that has been sorted out on this issue that still have not been acknowledged.
I for one am among the group of people working the net to research the reaches of this situation and there are many.
It doesn’t even touch just how deep some of those campaigns just mentioned in passing are involved in this.
WSJ needs to really do a full set of spreadsheets for download showing exactly the full history of these adventures.
Hillary tried to bury the linked donors among a snow job of other returns the same quarter, she has never released a specific list naming the linked donors.
There are many other issues about this the MSM is not surfacing yet, and may be still working on, but there are blogs who are way out ahead on this issue and have been since right after the story broke.

Hey Commentguy;
Could you give the links to those blogs, please?

Try SuitablyFlip for starters click on the Norman Hsu category on the left side of the page.
Then look at the stuff he has put up on google docs and explore all the tabs.
There are more but this one started early.
There are a couple of closed blogs created just for this issue were pointers and data are being swapped as well as several mailing lists active each and every day.
There is a whole army of Davids working this issue, and it is not rolling off the radar like some would wish.

I have a server dedicated to running a fully enabled sharepoint server setup for this issue that has a large number of independents doing collaboration here.
Stuff is coming down the line as long as the right people want to follow up.
We are trying some things feeding known reporters, but more we are aimed toward the FEC and such on issues we see.

H/T SuitablyFlip
15% of Hillary’s House and Senate endorsers (10 of 68) received tainted contributions from Norman Hsu’s donor network, compared to 7.5% (40 of 535) of all current Congress members. A majority of her Senatorial endorsements (a whopping 56%) received Hsu money, compared to 28% of all current Senators.
That means legislators who threw their weight behind Clinton were twice as likely to be greased by Hsu as their average colleague.
(The percentage of Obama endorsers who received Hsu’s support rate was not meaningfully different from the Congress-wide rate (7.7% vs. 7.5%) and not a single Edwards backer saw Hsu money.)
Likewise, Hsu-gilded legislators backed Clinton with roughly twice the frequency (25%) as Congress on the whole (12.7%). Hsu’s beneficiaries were 5x likelier to endorse Clinton than Obama (25% vs. 5%), while her endorsement advantage Congress-wide over Obama is only 2.6x.

Gosh, this sounds just like a talking point written for him by a Clintonista.
CommentGuy,
It would have to be one heck of a coincidence for all those contributions not to have been directed from on high, wouldn’t it?

Yup and I will give you the player name Fred Hochberg son of Lillian Vernon and Dean of one of the schools that make up the New School where Hsu was a trustee. He also used to be director of the Small Business Administration under Clinton.
Check the FEC and their donor patterns are almost cookie cuttered.
CommentGuy on November 12, 2007 at 2:04 PM
The only other real insider Clinton power player , who also happened to be a trustee at the same school Hsu was, would be Bernard Schwartz ex CEO of Loral of China Missile Tech fame, but their donor patterns don’t match up.
But then Schwartz could have been coordinating Hochberg and Hsu.
There are several other Hillary bundlers associated with the New School and their other Clinton White House years are many and wide.
For one 4th or 5th string school they sure have a bunch of Clinton movers and shakers on the boards.

I bet there are many more already in the pit, they just haven’t been caught.
