“Mythbusters” have always beat out Tim the Toolman Taylor.

Watch as must as I can, while they check out some really goofy myths they do it in a scientific manner to prove or disprove the myth. Kids should watch this program as part of their science/math classes. Primarily because they use real formulas and when creating their own methodologies it is backed up with real science. Secondly, because Mr. Wizard has passed on and these guys fill a giant void.

I was passing through Rahway, NJ some years back and a man there was telling me that the train that ran on the tracks within view used to travel over 100 mph. However, a couple of criminals who were fleeing police approached too close to the tracks while a train was passing and were sucked under the wheels. He said that from then on, the speed of the trains were reduced to 45 mph. I guess NJ recognized the danger to criminals and was willing to double everyone’s travel time to protect them.

Mythbusters is truly amazing television… it is not only educational and highly entertaining, but it could also save your life.

If Mike Rowe keeps it up, he’s gonna start given Chuck Norris a run for his money.

The train did not vacuum anyone off a platform. The shockwave of air that the train is pushing in front of it will tend to throw you away from the train.

The Discovery Network has some of the best shows on TV.
Did we ever find out why Mythbusters got rid of Scottie? Was she a little too freaky-deaky for a “family” show?

Love that show! On YouTube, there’s a video of them busting the myth that pretty girls don’t … uh … pass gas. They put a mic in Kar’s panties and hook it up to a huge speaker. Hilarious!

Yes, I agree totally. The two shows, Kick fighting and Mongolian Wrestling were pretty good, It was a shame for that guy that had the broken ribs, I personally know that pain and can’t imagine him fighting as long as he did. He’s one tough dude.

Full episodes of Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs (I think), What Not To Wear, and Last One Standing are available at Discovery.com I have to watch Last One Standing online, as I'm in Canada and discovery is different here. Stupid discovery canada.
