I recognize racism quite well, thank you. Yes, I want Hymietown to be recognized as offensive as the “N” word. I equate the word Hymie with the Holocaust…. no less an association than the “N” word with slavery. I see all cultures infected with racism. The word will never be co- opted by one race in my lexicon.

Yeah and not only that, the guy Dog was accused of murdering was black. The same guy that he was friends with – while the rest of his motorcycle gang buddies couldn’t stand black people. I just don’t see the word “racist” as applicable to him.

He made a bad judgment call, and got caught for it.

If what happened to Imus is any indication, this isn’t the end of Dog’s TV show or his career.

Does anyone have the authority to judge or condemn another for their indiscretions outside the rule of law?

Of course his act was stupid; his persona IS his show; and he’s a product of his environment and past (an 80% black population in prison will probably make you, to survive, act and be like one of them, regardless of which race is dominant..), and let’s stop forgetting that he didn’t commit the murder he was accused of, but for being an alleged “accomplice”. I don’t know all the details, but who among us has NEVER committed ANY crime?

Forgive and let go. It’s just entertainment. The depravity of the P.C. ultra-liberalism and cultural diversity (et al) excuses today only serve to induce this form of race warfare and ratings hustling.

And personally, I think he’s sincere. While I loathed the groveling and despised his “damn” usage during the interview, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He very well may have been crying both for saying it as he felt true remorse for his career just as much as he did for those he “offended”.

Clearly his son and girlfriend are exposing and exploiting this ordeal for their own selfish needs; and now a lawsuit? Please. I don’t condone the use, but this word is overstated and used as a double-standardized bastardization of the 1st Amendment.

I detest it and teach my (white) children that while we have freedom of speech; some words offend and hurt others and, as a result, you must use common sense publicly; exercising proper behavior & manners for others at the very least is understanding to not put yourself in jeopardy while adhering to your own beliefs and morals.

Of course the MSM will run with it for days, but then it’s on to the next “racial injustice”.

Let’s not forget that there are no winners here, but his son (fresh out of prison and a drug-addict as well) is the worst of the bunch; selling out his own father for $15k and a girlfriend he won’t end up with (mark my words) [and probably more interested in getting in her pants] is what really stirs me up.

My Take is: he’s after the high; she’s after the publicity.

No, rappers, hip-hopsters, and even wiggers use the word “nigga”.

I’ve always thought “The Dog” was a mulleted white trash dirtbag that led a team of mulleted white trash dirtbags. I am not surprised by any of this. When you elevate a bunch of mulleted white trash dirtbags to pop culture, umm, “minor celebrity mulleted dirtbags” status these kind of things will happen. If you hid a TV camera in a Camaro in a trailer park you would get the same results.

I’m always entertained by people who stand proudly for free speech when racist language is used but get extremely pissed off when religiously blasphemous language is used. The same people who believe there should be no consequences or outrage for saying “nigger” (because it’s just a word) get up in arms over Piss-Christ and every derogatory term used by the liberal media to describe Christians.

In my opinion, both are wrong; but it’s interesting to me how intellectually dishonest we can all be sometimes. The fact of the matter is that free speech means that there are no government penalties for what you say. It does not mean that there are no market or societal penalties for what you say.

No one was crying in their beer over the Dixie Chicks losing radio play for speaking out against the President and the Iraq War. No one excused Nixon for anti-semitic remarks on privately recorded tapes because it’s “free speech.” Yet it seems like the greatest accomplishment of Sharpton and Jackson is to cry wolf so much that it’s almost impossible for people to recognize real racism when it occurs or to admit it because they don’t want to give them the satisfaction.

Some people are too willing to attribute racism where none exists. Others are wholly unwilling to acknowledge even the most blatant acts of racism.

Suppression of Free Speech? Nope. He said what he said, and the government levied no fines. A&E can do what it wants regarding his show.

Right, and they can do what they want to in regards to protecting their image/name.

Just like Dell when they fired the Dell Dude. Zero tolerance on their drug policy = you got busted for pot, you got to go.

Just like any number of things that an employer can fire someone for because it reflects badly on them.

You’re willing to trivialise the deaths of all the victims of WWII and the Holocaust just to chastise this snivelling idiot. Anti-racism was once a noble cause but has mutated into a neurosis, one that’s being enforced upon the whole world.

You’re willing to miss the entire point of my post – that today’s society is willing to dismiss most any egregious act, if the egregious misfit kowtows and says that “I’m not like that.”

My post dealt with contemporary society. One that has no moral compass; and, because of that, is willing to accept any behavior, as long as the apology is sufficient.

I deeply appreciate your futile attempt to discern the point of my post.

This, of course has nothing to do with altruism on their part, it’s a simple matter of votes, because if they didn’t need their 90% turn out at the polls, blacks would still be a permanent underclass.

Almost weekly, white transgressions are pounced on by the liberal media while blacks go unchallenged and have free reign to say anything they want.

The media then bring in a gaggle of so-called black leaders in order to ‘analyze’ what the white transgressor said and suggest appropriate penitence.

Say 100 Hail Sharpton/Jacksons and ye shall be forgiven – maybe.

If you think some black person is a “nigger”, and if you are a coarse enough individual to use the term, I say you’re at liberty to go for it.

The law shouldn’t fine or jail you for it, and the rest of us don’t have to associate with you in any way.

His TV career may be over (although I suspect he may get picked up by another channel) but I wonder how his business will fare after all this ugliness.

Here I am, thinking that these are conservative principles. I had no idea that I had to put up with offensive bigots, because they have carte blanche to say whatever the hell they want with no repercussions.

Sharpton is way ahead of you about addressing this. Part of the problem is that 70% of rap music is purchased by white youth, who then ape the lyrics and offensive language. Guess they don’t have appropriate parental guidance.
But seriously if those 70% stopped buying the music the market for it literally collapses.

Damn Dang you, PC police!

Usually I don’t care about a person’s appearance, but this guy is hideous; it hurts my eyes to look at him, and I was nauseated by the 2 minutes of his sniveling I listened to before changing the channel. Then my husband came charging upstairs and started yelling about how he’s had it with Fox, and he never does that sort of thing.

I keep FNC on all day, but I’ll do whatever it takes to avoid having to look at or hear this creature again. No more Fox News for me if this is what they choose to cover. There’s too much Missing White Girl coverage as it is, but this “Dog” story could be the last straw.
