Either way, but I was thinking pitched to the bat and teed to the club.

And yeah I sorta thought that pestilential stuff was a little uncomplimentary. But this caught my attention too.

Your see, however, which is called the Court of Rome, and which neither you nor any man can deny to be more corrupt than any Babylon or Sodom, and quite, as I believe, of a lost, desperate, and hopeless impiety, this I have verily abominated, and have felt indignant that the people of Christ should be cheated under your name and the pretext of the Church of Rome; and so I have resisted, and will resist, as long as the spirit of faith shall live in me.

Oh well, if I may, I think I'll plug a few items I've posted on the blogs I maintain. Let's see what we have here in my databases. For example...

A video with Benjamin Netanyahu.

Turks blame Jews for Armenian genocide bill resolution.

Israeli police investigating Ehud Olmert's bank fraud, and recommend pressing charges against him.

John Bolton's memoir has debuted!

And also, here's a writeup I did on Sword of the Atom TPB, which I encourage everyone to buy, buy, BUY! If there's any comic book most strongly recommended for reading, it's this one!

Two short videos of the Street Smart video game. :)

And I might as well make sure to plug this small blog I run called the Comic Book Discrimination Dossiers as well.

I guess that'll be enough for now.

I would like to discuss Martin Luther’s Open Letter to Pope Leo X, back in 1520. Anyone?

Jaibones on November 7, 2007 at 9:14 AM

Well Luther was polite, he called the Pope "Most blessed Father Leo."

But it sorta went downhill from there.

Loved the flying cow story. That's a really bad day, ain't it?

It made me think of the significantly more tragic story of the guy in Dallas who always drove to work one way, and then decided to take a different route one morning for some unknown reason, and then an airplane got hit by a bizarre wind shear and landed on his roof. Well, crashed on his roof I guess.

Theworldisnotenough on November 6, 2007 at 10:01 PM

The great ones always make it look like there is no competition. Nadal is no slouch, Hewitt is #21, the line up is so deep with men's tennis and Federer is just a notch above. He will go down as the most devastating tennis player in history. After watching him play, I even have to rank him above my hero Rod Laver, who I consider the greatest of all time. And Mr. Laver agrees, calling Roger the most complete player in the history of tennis. Barring injuries, he will hold all of the records.

I found out something very strange today. My bank account has the maturity of a 12 year old boy. How do I know this? It called me yesterday morning at 5am, and just now at 2am, Yes, 2am. Now normally, when I get a phone call at 2am I totally expect someone to be dead or there is a major crisis afoot.

This morning was different, My bank account called me to tell me that someone had withdrawn a good bit of money from my account. "Ok", I thought, someone has hacked my account. I panicked... then I panicked some more. WHO THE CRUD IS TAKING MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AT 2 FREAKIN AM?!?
I woke up a bit more and got online to see what had happened. Looking at a computer screen first thing in the morning is not easy, It is blurry.. very blurry.. even with my reading glasses.
I finally focused and saw that my payment for my school loan had been taken out. So good of them to tell me.. especially at 2am. I was not happy.

My bank account must still be in junior high and is probably still laughing at prank calling me so early. I'm thinking that there was a whole set of pre-teen accounts who had a sleep over at one of the banks and they sat up all night calling people, eating smores and giving each other wedgies. I'll bet some people woke up and turned on their computers to see if certain checks cleared and couldn't because the website was covered with toilet paper.
The accounts annoying younger siblings (aka Credit Unions) probably woke up to find shaving cream in their underwear and started crying.
Somewhere, a whole neighborhood is waking up to finding their car loans have been egged and shoe polished.

Yeah.. laugh it up infantile bank account.. I'll get you back.. someday, somehow..

Question Bryan:

Not that I don't love seeing your posts, but is AP alright?

I for one miss his witicisms.

Did he have a dentist appointment or something?

Did Chris Hitchens invite him to a snazzy party?

How about Dobson?

Woohooo! The Lifetime Channel finally came to its senses and put a double dose of "Frasier" back in their nightly lineup (midnight to 1AM on the east coast). If only FNC would put RedEye back to 2AM! I miss falling asleep laughing.

OK, since this an Open Thread, I will drop this here:

I see John McCain arising.
I see things may be going his way.
I see rumbling and hear noises.
I see better times for him today.

Chorus:
Dont go around writing off McCain,
Well, its bound to take your prognosticating life,
John McCain is on the rise.

Looks like Utah’s voucher referendum is going to get shot down.

Shame.

Sorry to hear that. In the Seattle area, a $38 billion dollar transportation extravaganza failed by only 10%. Most people didn't like the fact it wouldn't actually improve traffic. The Sierra Club opposed it, even though it replaced some important highway lanes with a rail line, because people would still be allowed to use their cars on the remaining roads.
