Honestly, I care so little for both of these teams that I may take up macrame while this one’s one. It would beat watching the perennially unwatchable Ravens get beat by the always irritating Steelers.
At least this one will be certified Matt Lauer free.

It’s a difficult call considering, as a Cowboys and Titans fan, which I despise more.
Just kidding, the Steelers suck the most.
SouthernDem on November 5, 2007 at 8:17 PM
With the writer’s all on strike in HollyWeird, will there be any good re-runs, or shall I head out to BlockBuster??
nationspatriotcom on November 5, 2007 at 8:21 PM
Alright, Go………….Wait, I hate both these teams…
Go Cowboys!!!!!
Nothing else on tonight. Just the laptop and two teams I hate on MNF.
Oh, and Jack Daniels
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 8:31 PM
At least the guys on this channel got rid of Joe T.
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 8:33 PM
Oh god, tribute to the old Steel Curtain….Hated those guys
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 8:36 PM
The Penguins are playing NJ… and winning. Go Steelers!
4shoes on November 5, 2007 at 8:38 PM
Here we go…
Zorro on November 5, 2007 at 8:41 PM
Greatest defense ever!
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 8:42 PM
Lets go Steelers, beat the Ravens and make sure Ray Lewis stops that asinine dance
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 8:43 PM
And the Steelers stole some high school’s uniforms for the evening. Nice.
Bryan on November 5, 2007 at 8:43 PM
Throwback unis. I understand WHY they changed them! Though the helmets are OK
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 8:44 PM
Why do you think I hated them?
But I would argue about that point and bring up one little word….Doomsday!
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 8:46 PM
Man I loved those Dallas teams, greatness.
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 8:50 PM
OK my wife and I are arguing about how long McNair has been in the NFL. What was his rookie year?
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 8:50 PM
1996 0r 1997
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 8:51 PM
Nope 1995
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 8:52 PM
Yep, 95 drafted by the Oilers, thought he had been around longer than that.
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 8:54 PM
Ravens are probably my least favorite team. Steelers are OK. Go Steelers! I agree w/Gatordoug about the Ray Lewis dance. Stop it already.
Anyway, I’m filling in this week on the Midnight shift, so I have to try to get a few hours sleep anyway. I’ll check NFL.com when I get up.
Ordinary1 on November 5, 2007 at 8:59 PM
I think McNair’s gonna have a long night.
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:02 PM
I’m stuck in a Massachusetts hotel in on a business trip, having just endured the “Pats” weekend. Just to watch my team, Ravens, showcase their continued decent into mediocrity.
Zaire67 on November 5, 2007 at 9:03 PM
Condolences, for your location and team
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:07 PM
Had my little dose of heaven last night – how ’bout them Cowboys? Bryan – instead of taking up macrame you could weigh naval fuzz. Other than that, there is absolutely nothing on….guess I’ll finish the world’s most boring book.
24K lady on November 5, 2007 at 9:10 PM
And think, they let Derick Anderson get away for a $150 waiver fee to the Browns. Now you get to watch Mcnair get strip sacked and throw picks.
TheBigOldDog on November 5, 2007 at 9:12 PM
Wow!
That was something! Cool turnover.
Sorry Zaire67
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:12 PM
Agreed, it’s always good when we beat up on the Eagles. I will have a smile all week.
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:15 PM
This could get ugly.
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:16 PM
There are no fans that deserve to lose every week as much as Eagle fans
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 9:18 PM
Everybody, and I mean everybody who went to SB 39 came back absolutely despising Eagles fans. Oh, stories they tell…
Too late…
TheBigOldDog on November 5, 2007 at 9:22 PM
Jaws: They are going to get blown out of here if they don;t do something…if they don;t start taking care of the ball!
Gee Jaws, ya think?
TheBigOldDog on November 5, 2007 at 9:24 PM
Come On Ray Lewis dance!
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 9:27 PM
OK, bloodbath in progress
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:27 PM
He gets paid big $$$$$$$$$ to state what anyone who watches the game could say.
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 9:28 PM
Best laugh I had all day!
TheBigOldDog on November 5, 2007 at 9:29 PM
Ahhhhhugggg.
Howard Cosell.
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:29 PM
Heh, my husband calls them the Egirls.
4shoes on November 5, 2007 at 9:31 PM
Progress! They got through a whole series without turning over the ball!
TheBigOldDog on November 5, 2007 at 9:32 PM
Joe T’s replacement, another ex-quarterback I dislike. And just about as stupid.
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:32 PM
another MNF classic. where the guests in the booth are more interesting then the game on the field. gives us more Cowboys!
mfnorman on November 5, 2007 at 9:33 PM
The Steelers are kicking a$$. Of course.
The last time the Steelers played in Dalls, the Cowboys players said they thought they were playing a road game. Naturally the Steelers won.
I went to a Steelers game in San Francisco in 1999. Rainy, like it is in Pittsburgh tonight. Half the people at Candlestick Park, or whatever they were calling then, were wearing Steelers shirts.
jaime on November 5, 2007 at 9:34 PM
I like that.
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 9:34 PM
WOW!!! they finally tackled him
mfnorman on November 5, 2007 at 9:35 PM
Terry Bradshaw, I have to admit, a class act. Always liked that guy. (except when they beat the Cowboys in the super bowl of course)
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:38 PM
Oh wow, that was nasty.
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:40 PM
and the streak of non turnover series ends a 1… So, how long do you wait before you bench McNair? How many times is Billick going to let him turn the ball over before enough is enough?
TheBigOldDog on November 5, 2007 at 9:41 PM
Time for a new coaching staff in Baltimore.
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:42 PM
Nice defense by Pittsburgh tonight. I wonder if Baltimore will make it past mid-field this half.
jaime on November 5, 2007 at 9:42 PM
How long until the Ravens figure out that Billick CANNOT coach?
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 9:42 PM
Ok, battery is going dead, Game sucks, I am going to do like 24K Lady and go read a bad book.
Good night all.
conservnut on November 5, 2007 at 9:45 PM
I’m not a Billick fan, but he won a Superbowl. More than I can say for, um …, Wade Phillips.
jaime on November 5, 2007 at 9:47 PM
TD Santono Holmes! FF points!
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 9:49 PM
Never claimed Wade could coach. He IS a great defensive coach,
Billick, an “offensive genius” at Minnesota, has never hand any offense at Baltimore. He won with defense, and has done squat since that year, 2000
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 9:51 PM
Touche!
TheBigOldDog on November 5, 2007 at 9:52 PM
Interception? No. Can’t be. Time to reset the Ravens “series w/o turnover counter” again…
TheBigOldDog on November 5, 2007 at 9:54 PM
Yeah, I know. That dig on Phillips wasn’t for you.
Anyway, Billick won a Superbowl. Went 13 – 3 last year. He’s had some pretty good years. Not a bad coach, IMO. His problem, I think, is that he doesn’t enforce the discipline required to be really good.
jaime on November 5, 2007 at 9:56 PM
That could be. All I know is that he has lasted longer than most coaches would have. At a certain point you say time to change.
And look at Phillips. The Cowboys would NOT BE 7-1 if Tuna were still the coach. Change in philosophy and style can really energize a team
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 10:03 PM
A sympathy score…
TheBigOldDog on November 5, 2007 at 10:05 PM
Why are the Steeler starters still on the feild?
christophercube on November 5, 2007 at 10:05 PM
That could be. Parcells put this team together (except Owens, who I think he didn’t want). I think the big difference this year is Ken Hamlin. Hamlin was the missing piece. If Phillips does well these next couple years, it’ll be like Switzer doing well.
jaime on November 5, 2007 at 10:08 PM
The difference is offense, Phillips lets Garrett call plays, Parcells never would have done that.
BTW, Hamlin is a nice addition
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 10:10 PM
Man, Limbaugh floated the idea today that the last Steeler/Cowboy Superbowl was unusual and possibly fixed. It was in the first hour of his show I think. In response to a caller askin about 2nights game. I’m serious, he went to a commercial break muttering conspiracy :( Jeez… can’t we at least have 1outta3.
christophercube on November 5, 2007 at 10:15 PM
Good point. You may be right.
jaime on November 5, 2007 at 10:16 PM
Thanks.
Gatordoug on November 5, 2007 at 10:20 PM
I just love all this Cowboy love!
Sue on November 5, 2007 at 10:20 PM
The Super Steelers had a great first half. Dallas is having a good season so far… hmmm, wouldn’t be a bad re-re-re-match in January.
Zorro on November 5, 2007 at 10:21 PM
The difference is Parcells didn’t let them play all out football. Mostly the same team. Different coaches. We are not playing conservative. And we are not trying to control the clock.
Go Cowboys!
Sue on November 5, 2007 at 10:23 PM
Go Steelers. So this year will make what 6? 7? Super bowl rings for my team? It’s hard to keep track when you win so many.
unseen on November 5, 2007 at 10:24 PM
Yeah…Conservnut’s wife here. He told me earlier that McNair had been around the League since we got married in 1983. Geez! That would be one OLD footballer!
Go to bed you old fart!
SouthernPride on November 5, 2007 at 10:54 PM
You go to bed too, “unseen”.
The most won is “5″. San Fran. (the gay city by the bay), Dallas & Pittsburg. (REAL men’s teams!!)
SouthernPride on November 5, 2007 at 10:58 PM
Re: Parcells as Coach of the Cowboys. I’m a lifetime lover/fan of the Cowboys. When Parcells came along I gave him his chances but he failed miserably. He was NEVER a Cowboy at heart. (Which is a MUST to be a Cowboys Coach!!)
How can a Yankee be a died in the wool DALLAS COWBOY? Especially with the name of Bill Parcells. Nope, it didn’t take this fan long to know that Parcells and the Cowboys were NOT a good match. Why did it take Jerry Jones so long to realize that? Did he ever? Probably not~
SouthernPride on November 5, 2007 at 11:04 PM
Bryan sounds like a Bungles fan…a whiny Bungles fan.
benrand on November 5, 2007 at 11:18 PM
I don’t know which is worse…Red Sox Fans or Steeler Fans. On a side note, I am not sure which is less watchable, Football Night in America on Sunday or that lame MNF production
Dirthead on November 5, 2007 at 11:27 PM
You’re not from around these parts, are ya?
Bryan on November 5, 2007 at 11:42 PM
I don’t know either, but I’m guessing ‘Skins fan.
Anyway, it looks like at least a three team race in the AFC.
forest on November 6, 2007 at 12:23 AM
try Vikings fans. They are both boring and obnoxious.
