Growing up in Mississippi in the 60′s, I heard of a girl whose mother (father? What father?) named her daughter, “Saphyllis.” She had heard that word somewhere and thought it was pretty.

Likewise, I heard of one who named their child myconium, which they learned in birthing class. That’s the term for when a baby has a poop in utero. As in, the name for the poop.

Also know of a Lemonjello and orangejello, though not pronounced as they look. “le-MON-juh-low” and “o-RON-juh-low”

Also also know of a mother who saw this cool word on an article of clothing in the hospital and liked the sound of it: pajama, pronounced “PAY-juh-muh”
