The funniest Joel Stein column I’ve ever read. For good reason, as you’ll see.
She had me at “THROAT-SLIT the AMERICAN FLAG.”

You’ve got to register for this Article…. to the LA Times, I’ll pass.
Maxx on November 2, 2007 at 9:56 AM
I refuse to sign up even a fake email address to get on the LA Times site
ChefJeff on November 2, 2007 at 9:57 AM
Just register. Or use bugmenot.com. You have to register to read the NYT and WaPo, too. I don’t know why people refuse to do the same for the LA Times.
Allahpundit on November 2, 2007 at 9:57 AM
I’ve never had to register for any article you’ve sent me to at either NYT or WaPo… that I can recall.
Maxx on November 2, 2007 at 9:59 AM
That was hilarious!!!! I’m glad I signed up. Good way to start the day. Thanks Allah.

You can go straight to the article here, without registering.

Thanks Ian…. your gold.
Maxx on November 2, 2007 at 10:01 AM
Wow…normally Joel Stein is a typical mincing MSM lib…but he shows he actually gets Ann Coulter. Plus, in the same article, she showed how bipartisan she is. *cough*
MadisonConservative on November 2, 2007 at 10:05 AM
I *loved* mad-libs when I was a kid! (Seems they are just as hysterical for grown-ups.) I need to go buy some for my daughter…
lan astaslem on November 2, 2007 at 10:05 AM
Isnt he the guy who said he didnt support the troops?
JVelez on November 2, 2007 at 10:14 AM
Ann is cool.
csdeven on November 2, 2007 at 10:15 AM
Very, very clever. Kudos to Stein. And to Coulter for participating in good humor.
aero on November 2, 2007 at 10:15 AM
She was in studio with Prager on Tuesday if anyone is interested. Click here to listen.

Ann is sharp as a tack. She knows she drives them crazy, she pulls their chain and they don’t even know they’re being played. It’s great. The mere sight of her pisses them off. I love how she dances up tho the line, sticks her entire leg over it and pulls it back. Jump! how high? I mean, the pregnant pauses, the hair flips, the laughing at the opposing pundits is perfectly pulled off.
She believes in everything she writes and with all her theatrics, I love being in on the joke.
I know she can be a little extreme, but I don’t care. I’m glad she’s on our side.
LtE126 on November 2, 2007 at 10:19 AM
Hey…Chicago Tribune, too! You got some kind of anti-Chicago bias, Met boy?
Jaibones on November 2, 2007 at 10:19 AM
If you haven’t read Ann’s article this week you should, it’s a very good one. She honestly blows the lid off of the left’s burgeoning anti-Semitism. Excellent article !

[deceased democrat] Mike Gravel
Nice.
nailinmyeye on November 2, 2007 at 10:33 AM
Yes. He published a column proclaiming such in January 2006. He’s a nincompoop.
Redhead Infidel on November 2, 2007 at 10:52 AM
That was one of my favorites too.
This one was good too:

I wasn’t a big admirer of his either, but that was funny!!! He did not acquit himself well on Hugh Hewitt, as I recall.
carlitos on November 2, 2007 at 11:27 AM
Still a douche, but this was still funny as hell.

OT, but concerning best way to start the day, this came in over the transom this morning:
Create a folder on your desktop and name it “Hillary Rodham Clinton.”
Drag it to the recycle bin.
Empty the recycle bin.
Computer will ask, “Do you really want to delete Hillary Rodham Clinton?”
Click yes.
Repeat with Jack Murtha, or whoever.

What was the 2nd funniest?
Jim Treacher on November 2, 2007 at 11:56 AM
Ann, Ann, Ann!! DO you kiss your mother with that filthy mouth??
Would you kiss me instead? ;-)
Mazztek on November 2, 2007 at 11:59 AM
So true.
RightWinged on November 2, 2007 at 12:03 PM
I loved Mad Libs growing up! This was a great way to start my morning.
Sultry Beauty on November 2, 2007 at 12:04 PM
Holding back again eh Ann?
EricPWJohnson on November 2, 2007 at 12:04 PM
you tricked me into clicking on a colum by joel “of course i don’t support the troops” stein.
jummy on November 2, 2007 at 12:42 PM
Isn’t it rather telling that Joel Stein has to rely on someone else to provide the humor for his column?

Oh yeah, liberal outrage, the [latter day Rabbinic] perfect measure of success.

Hmmmm: “Joel Stein is the Sincerest Form of Flattery“.
Ed Driscoll on November 2, 2007 at 1:53 PM
The honesty, accuracy, and brevity of Ann’s recent article is incredible. So many blogs try to toe the line, and bow to the politically correct. Ann demolishes the line and describes accurately what the problem is. Skinny blond woman demonstrating more spine than a most men.

I thought they DID believe in Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

EXCELLENT article. Thanks for the link. She’s an excellent writer and thinker.
Ann goes right to the heart of the matter and does it with humor. Boy I’m glad to be on her side.
least1 on November 2, 2007 at 3:30 PM
Probably the only way that could’ve ended funnier is if she had given her own name for the [a conservative or book publisher] bit.
corbettw on November 2, 2007 at 3:51 PM
But she’s so correct. They are the most easily offended people! The reason is obvious, which she clearly states.
SouthernGent on November 2, 2007 at 5:39 PM
When I watched the clip of Ann with Alan Colmes from the other night, it was never clearer that some people are LOOKING for things to be, “offended,” by.
This is quite a funny piece by Stein!
