FIRE as in the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education. Glenn Beck hosted FIRE’s Greg Lukianoff to discuss the Fall of the Indoctrination Wall at the University of Delaware.

Explains why my daughter didn’t get that RA job at UC Merced when she was a student there, doesn’t it?

How ironic this happens on the same day of the Dog Chapman meltdown.

I went to University of Wisconsin, which is a really, really liberal school, and we never had anything close to this in the dorms. Lots and lots of commie stuff at class, but at least they left us alone in our rooms.

Yeah kinda like those meetings at work you have to go there that are strictly voluntary, but you better be there.

This sounds a lot like China,North Korea,
were your thought is different than the rest
of the brainwashed majority, sounds like Universities
are implementing re-education to straighten out those
that don’t fit the Liberal thought process. And if
this practise goes beyond this university, and is done
in other universities, then who is running this grand
experiment!

I don’t know who’s more sick, the people who pull these stunts in academia, or the people who stand by and let them…
Jaibones on November 1, 2007 at 11:53 PM
Jailbones-
The people who let them.
Luckily, there are those who will not.
Kudos to FIRE!

sooo the ratings are inconsequential and the program isn’t mandatory? The best was his rant on gi joes, the decline of the family and penguins, leading him to the conclusion that white people aren’t ok. My god how can anyone avoid this indoctrination!?!?

Beck’s CNNHN show is the only reason to ever switch to channel 204. 202 is dead to me.
Kevin M on November 2, 2007 at 3:07 AM
It is not just UD alone.
oldelpasoan on November 2, 2007 at 8:17 AM
p.s. I still do not watch 204 or 202.
oldelpasoan on November 2, 2007 at 8:19 AM
I graduated 3 years ago from a University that received the same rating from FIRE as the University of Delaware. Unfortunately, this shocks me none whatsoever.
flyawaybird on November 2, 2007 at 8:48 AM
Does anybody know what the point is of the program, that white people are bad? Do they want to knock white people down, and bottle them up? They should wait until there is an alternative source of taxpayer cash comming in before they press the issue too hard.
saiga on November 2, 2007 at 9:34 AM
The UD climbdown statement.

Wish I could go to college again, thinking and knowing what I know today. Most of the students back at the State run college I went to for a while, could care less about politics. They just cared about the beer. Have things changed or is this at large campuses ?
