I think you have a very good point. I’ve always said that life is just like what you said: every decision you ever make, big, small, and otherwise, all add up to the person you are at this very moment. And some seemingly small decisions may make very large differences in the future.

Different tactics, strategies, and such would likely have led to a different outcome at this point, but ‘different’ is not necessarily the same as ‘better.’

This raises all kinds of awkward questions about multiculturalism in the Western world, which barely need elaborating.

The more and more of this that goes on, and comes out from various sources, mostly from Yon, the harder it gets for them to ignore it.

I remember the first time I heard of the “Anbar Awakening.” It was a short piece from AFP about tribes aligning to kick out “terrorists” (quotes AFPs). Always with the quotes around the word, as if to emphasise that really isn’t the “right” word, it’s just what those evil Americans called those poor freedom fighters. And my thought at the time was “well, isn’t that exactly what we wanted, the Iraqis taking care of themselves, standing up so we can stand down?”

As a few more reports trickeled out, spurred by Mr. Yon no doubt, we had our Leftists screaming “Civil War” and “We’ve Lost, Bush is Hitler!” Eventually, they were forced to admit it.

Just makes me sick, the way they keep rooting against their own country.
