History shows us the only way to make a case stick against a powerful politician is if people from both parties back the charges. It is fortunate for democrat politicians that republicans have a higher moral expectations from there politicians. When a republican like Duke Cunningham commits a crime republicans and democrats alike are quick to bring him down. (rightly so)

When democrats commit felonies or misdemeanors The democrats rally around him so it is only people of the opposite party condemning him. This makes it look like a politically motivated witch hunt. So the perpetrator invariably walks.

So would I but that’s not the only issue.

1. Liberals won’t care about this scandal. The MSM won’t give it enough coverage (if at all) and if by chance they see it on a right wing blog they’ll just assume it’s BS. It won’t touch her at all in the primary.
2. The people that WILL care are the moderates and the conservatives. The latter don’t matter but the former do. If she’s blasted with scandals during the general election she’s gonna take a popularity hit with a group that actually matters.
3. While Obama and Edwards would be easier to defeat, they’d also be a worse disaster than Hillary if one of them wins.
4. By blasting it now, by the time the general election comes around, it’ll be “old news” and nobody will care about it anymore.

I’m of the opinion that as much dirt as possible on all democratic candidates should be kept sealed until the general election, and then released one at a time, spread out throughout that campaign up to voting day. Blast it all at once and people will think “hit job”. Keep it slow and consistend and people will start viewing her in a negative light.

Stupid. We should save all our shots for the general election. If I had to pick a democrat for president, she’d be my first choice. If by some miracle she loses the primary and Mullah Hussein Osama or, Darwin forbid, that moron, Edwards, wins then we’re really screwed
