Malaysian cleric: Men are “emotionally abused” by women who dress sexily

posted at 1:18 pm on October 31, 2007 by Allahpundit

I know a lot of euphemisms for that feeling but “emotional abuse” is a new one on me.

“Sexily” in this case, I’m assuming, means “showing off a little forearm.”

Malaysia’s Muslim men are suffering sleepless nights and cannot pray properly because their thoughts are distracted by a growing number of women who wear sexy clothes in public, a prominent cleric said.

Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, the spiritual leader of the opposition Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, said he wanted to speak about the “emotional abuse” that men face because it is seldom discussed, the party reported on its Web site Wednesday.

“We always [hear about] the abuse of children and wives in households, which is easily perceived by the eye, but the emotional abuse of men cannot be seen,” Nik Abdul Aziz said. “Our prayers become unfocused and our sleep is often disturbed.”…

His party’s Web site published an illustration Wednesday of how women should dress — in long, flowing headscarves covering their hair and chests and “baggy and loose” long-sleeved, floor-length dresses.

As stupid as the Laura Bush/hijab debate became, this goes right to the core of it. “The veil is to show that women are responsible for the sexual self-control of men,” as Hirsi Ali put it; this tool couldn’t agree more, as he made abundantly clear a few years ago. It’s almost a chore to blog this stuff anymore, so familiar is the illogic and the counterpoints to it, but if there’s awareness to be raised, we have a duty to raise it.

Speaking of familiar nonsense, here’s our favorite hugely influential “moderate” Islamic scholar, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, describing the cleansing rain that’s going to wash away the promiscuity in Europe — peacefully. Whew! Click the image to watch.

When are the homosexuals going to realize that their behavior is simply, Islamophobic?

Jimmy the Dhimmi on October 31, 2007 at 1:36 PM

My son has always said that the woman’s movement is the best thing in the world for men…if women want to have promiscous sex, well, few men are going to mind getting laid with no strings. Want to wander around mostly nekkid? Total eye candy for the gents.

I think very few men would really complain about it. :)

Bob's Kid on October 31, 2007 at 1:43 PM

By all means, then, ladies, dress sexier!!! Give them spiritual ADD!! Keep them up at night! Anything to keep their stupid attention off of Mohammed and his blasphemous book.

To say nothing of the emotional abuse those covert Israeli stripper/soldiers must be unleashing.

we have a duty to raise it.

I am glad that you do… Somebody has to…

I keep rolling the notion over in my head that the only reason these guys wage jihad is so the can die and finally get laid. Thats f-ing sad…

I wonder if he has participated in one of those mass marriages where only the grooms are allowed to participate and use young girls to take the place of the real brides.

Boy, how awful it is going to be for these types of nutjobs if the “gay gene” is ever discovered. Imagine that, biologically gay pigs.

Weebork on October 31, 2007 at 1:48 PM

“Sexily” in this case, I’m assuming, means “showing off a little forearm.”

Allah’s comments in the Should Men Get Married? thread seem to suggest he’d be more than happy to see a little forearm.

“…our sleep is often disturbed.”

Isn’t that what Maurice Sendak may have been talking about in In the Night Kitchen: “I’m in the milk and the milk’s in me!”

liquidflorian on October 31, 2007 at 1:45 PM

There could be a more truth to that than most would acknowledge.

abinitioadinfinitum on October 31, 2007 at 1:50 PM

Honestly, if you had to look at most of their women dressed “sexily” it would keep you up at night too. I might start believing in the “boogeywoman”.

“The promiscuity, which permits men to marry men and women to marry women.”

Yeah, not to mention that which permits the Ayatollah and other devout Muslims to pork a chicken!

From Reading Lolita in Tehran, by Azar Nafisi:

Did you know that one way to cure a man’s sexual appetites is by having sex with animals? And then there’s the problem of sex with chickens. You have to ask yourself if a man who has had sex with a chicken can then eat the chicken afterwards. Our leader has provided us with an answer: No, neither he nor his immediate family or next-door neighbors can eat of that chicken’s meat, but it’s okay for a neighbor who lives two doors away. My father would rather I spent my time on such texts than on Jane Austen or Nabokov?” she added, rather mischievously.

We were not startled by Nassrin’s erudite allusions to the works of Ayatollah Khomeini. She was referring to a famous text by Khomeini, the equivalent of his dissertation—required to be written by all who reach the rank of ayatollah—aimed at responding to the questions and dilemmas that could be posed to them by their disciples.[2] Many others before Khomeini had written in almost identical manner. What was disturbing was that these texts were taken seriously by people who ruled us and in whose hands lay our fate and the fate of our country. Every day on national television and radio these guardians of morality and culture would make similar statements and discuss such matters as if they were the most serious themes for contemplation and consideration.

How about someone bans spandex or bar midrift shirts for women over 150lbs? Can somebody move on that one, please?

GogglesPisano on October 31, 2007 at 1:56 PM

How about someone bans spandex or bar midrift shirts for women over 150lbs?

Indeed. Such an outfit might qualify as a weapon of mass destruction. I mean, if one thread manages to run, the whole thing becomes a deadly slingshot that could take out thousands.

Drum on October 31, 2007 at 1:59 PM

I can understand why the knuckle-draggers hate us, our culture promotes the exploitation of women and men as sex objects (without anyone taking responsibility for themselves, or others!).
But, now that I have heard every insane excuse known to man, I am complete. I think I will ascend to the higher level any minute now.

Malaysia’s Muslim men are suffering sleepless nights and cannot pray properly because their thoughts are distracted by a growing number of women who wear sexy clothes in public, a prominent cleric said.

Love unrequited robs me of me rest;
Love, hopeless love, my ardent soul encumbers;
Love, nightmare-like, lies heavy on me chest,
And weaves itself into my midnight slumbers…

Attila (Pillage Idiot) on October 31, 2007 at 2:09 PM

You know, it’s only emotional abuse if you’re not getting any.

How about someone bans spandex or bar midrift shirts for women over 150lbs? Can somebody move on that one, please?

GogglesPisano on October 31, 2007 at 1:56 PM

That would reduce the number of assalanches greatly.

Buzzy on October 31, 2007 at 2:16 PM

Perfect textbook example of Muslims using our own “liberal” American culture and language against us. “Emotional abuse” is totally an American term and concept.

How bout: “Genital mutilation and beatings of non-submissive wives emotionally abuse women?” Would any imam agree to this statement? Even physical abuse of women is not acknowledged, let alone emotional. But MEN can claim emotional abuse to further Islamic curtailing of women’s rights. Rigggghhht.

Nick nack, patty wack (Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat), like most fascist Muslim Clerics, is full of sh*t.

If all it takes is a few scantily clad women to reduce these Islamofascist assholes to sleep-deprived, gibbering fools, then we can DESTROY the entire Islamist movement in an instant by sending in the Pussycat Dolls!

Or, if we could invent a “mind-control ray” that stimulates the sex-centers in the brain, and loft it in a satellite, we could end the war in minutes by “beaming” the middle east and Malasia/Indonesia. And then follow up by sending in the women of the IDF to provide the ultimate humiliation.

It is said that any Warrior of Allah that is bested by a woman, gets no 72 virgins, no plates of fruit and dates, no cool breezes and cool water. Or as The Onion put it, their punishment will:

…include being hollowed out and used as prophylactics by thorn-cocked Gulbuth The Rampant, …being forced through a wire screen by the callused palms of Halcorym and then having [their] entrails wound onto a stick and fed to the toothless, foul-breathed swine of Gehenna….

Finishing up with:

The legions of fang-wombed hags will take their pleasure on their shattered carcasses for most of this afternoon. Tomorrow, their flesh will be melted from their bones like wax in the burning embrace of the Mother of Cowards. The day after that, they’ll be sodomized by the Fallen and their bowels shredded by a demonic ejaculate of burning sand. Then, on Sunday, Satan gets them all day. I can’t even imagine what he’s got cooked up for them.”

Memo to Nick nack, patty wack: You are such a pussy!

Men are “emotionally abused” by women who dress sexily

Some like it hot and some sweat
When the heat is on
Some feel the heat and decide that
They can´t go on
Some like it hot, but you can´t tell how hot
Til you try
Some like it hot, so let´s turn up the heat
Til we fry

Some like it hot

Compare and contrast Islam with Christianity as they apportion responsibility regarding this issue. The Bible extols feminine modesty, and holds a woman responsible for taking reasonable steps to avoid being a “stumbling block” to men. But the Bible also holds men 100% responsible for their thoughts and actions, no matter how great the provocation might be. Men are told to take whatever steps are necessary to avoid those things which lead to temptation and sin.

That means I look away from a woman who is dressed provocatively, I avoid walking in front of the Victoria’s Secret store, I don’t patronize the business that sells porn, etc.

Islam? “It’s her fault.”

Splashman on October 31, 2007 at 2:59 PM

I suppose it’s too much to expect that these “tempted” men learn to control themselves.

jeanie on October 31, 2007 at 3:00 PM

And how will Islam help Europe to overcome its “materialism?” Easy! By spreading around the poverty, filth, disease and violence in which the Islamic world wallows.

Hey, art, democracy, philosophy, scholarship, human rights, haute cuisine, the renaissance– all that’s sort of interesting, but car bombs, stonings, and an education limited to rote memorizations of the Koran supplemented by random beatings and sexual abuse would be way cool, right?

morganfrost on October 31, 2007 at 3:07 PM

How about they move to colder, non-oil producing climates. Less flesh to be abused by.

A win/win for everyone.

I have ranted. I have screamed at gay men, what part of the idea that muslims want to kill you, do you not get? Their PC little minds just don’t get it.

thuja on October 31, 2007 at 3:50 PM

…and yet there are no restrictions on the dress of men??? Oh, that’s right…that would be “emotional abuse” of women …and they don’t count…

sabbott on October 31, 2007 at 4:45 PM

I think that all the homosexuals and now hags that think the US an intolerable place to live should move to an Islamic country and try your act for a week…good luck!

sabbott on October 31, 2007 at 4:46 PM

I’ve seen women in head scarves wearing too much make-up, the tightest jeans possible and hooker heels. It confuses me that this is considered modest just because they cover their hair? Seriously, I don’t wear make-up and dress more modestly but don’t cover my hair, so I’m a harlot? Whatever!

Send them containers full of Bratz dolls, let them parachute from the skies. Mayhaps the outrage will paralyze them for awhile.

Isn’t his get-up a blatant homosexual provocation?

How dare he!
