If this example doesn’t bolster the case for term limits, nothing will. Sadly, voters are human, and will keep voting for him (as well as the other morons) over and over as a means of self preservation.
I don’t like tinkering with the constitution at all, but our founding fathers could never have seen this grand scale of graft & cronyism coming. Hell they could never have imagined 300 million people, and they damn sure never EVER envisioned these bloodsuckers staying in office 40 frickin’ years.

TERM LIMITS!!! It’ll hurt like pulling off a scab at first, but we’d heal all the better for it.

Murtha is no better than your garden variety mid-level mobster squeezing money out of all of us to take care of himself and his pals.

The only way I could see to get people to turn against him would be to do some kind if interview campaign. Have a video camera and ask people “Are you voting for Jack Murtha?” and if they say “Yes” then the interviewer says “You are aware that he is a liar and a thief, aren’t you?” at that point the person is on the TV has being supportive of a liar and a thief.

What needs to happen is he needs to lose his seats on committees. Like that is ever going to happen …

And this is exactly why Murtha will never be voted out of office in his district. He is a conduit for cash from Washington to his community. He has discovered a way to legally steal from the rest of the country.

Basically, he is stealing money from the rest of the congressional districts but the thing is, only people in his district get to vote for him. Everyone in his district probably knows someone on the Murtha gravy train.

you got it.. i grew up in his district and was talking to my uncle a few months back who is a repub. and he said as long as murtha keeps his kid employed hes got his vote. i argued but to no avail…
