Vapid TV Anchor Followup Comment of the Day: the anchor-chick’s compelling need to say, 1) “but she’s okay…” (when sports-dude just told us that) tied with 1a) “…poor thing.”

A Mind is a terrible thing… Too many hair spray fumes.

Oh, and this gets a gazillion YouTube hits while “Friday Night Lights” teeters on the precipice on NBC? There is no justice…

There are many alternatives available here:

1) Football player who knocked cheerleader down is investigated for sexual harassment/misconduct. Found guilty, he’s expelled, turns to a life of crime, incarcerated, and then really learns about “sexual misconduct”.

2) Cheerleader’s family sues school district. Citing lax supervision of cheerleaders and unnecessarily opaque signage, the district settles out of court for 48 million dollars. Cheerleader and her mom are seen partying with Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears….

I think they should have Cheerleaders watch vids in training like the Airforce and Police do. This isn’t the first time this has happened and there are a bunch of these on youtube.

Wow. You folks can be a TOUGH and unsympathetic audience.

When I saw this on TV last night, my first thought was how lucky she was to NOT have been seriously injured. She could have suffered a broken bone, concussion, neck or spinal cord injury. Or even a broken rib/punctured lung.

And a player tripping over her could have been injured too.

Yes, she did a dumb thing. But haven’t we all at one time or another? When I think of all the dumb-ass things I did as a teenager, I marvel that I survived.
