Project Valour-IT
posted at 2:00 pm on October 29, 2007 by Bryan
Of all the charities out there, Project Valour-IT has to be among the most worthy. It provides specially modified and voice-controlled laptops to troops who have been wounded in the war on jihad. I’ve just joined Hot Air on the Air Force team alongside Stop the ACLU, who has more to say about the cause:
Every cent raised for Project Valour-IT goes directly to the purchase and shipment of laptops for severely wounded service members. As of October 2007, Valour-IT has distributed over 1500 laptops to severely wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines across the country.
Valour-IT accepts donations in any amount to support the purchase and distribution of laptops, but also offers a sponsorship option. An individual or organization may sponsor a wounded soldier by completely funding the cost of a laptop and continuing to provide that soldier with personal support and encouragement throughout recovery. This has proved to be an excellent project for churches, groups of coworkers or friends, and members of community organizations such Boy Scouts.
Project Valour-IT is non-profit and non-political. It helps those who have given so much to defend us. Join up and/or chip in if you can.
More: I forgot to include the donation link. Here it is.

For those looking to help the Marine Corps team, go here. I’ve been involved with them for the past couple of years, and it’s an issue that doesn’t involve politics and has everything to do with serving those who serve.

Bryan, might I suggest making this some sort of sticky post? The Airforce is already way behind the Marines. It may have something to do with someone named Michelle Malkin being on their team and having that up on her other site.

You’re going to need a new widget as Soldiers’ Angels is having technical problems with ChipIn. Head here – http://soldiersangels.org/therm.html
One more thing, you and MKH better start cracking the whip; Michelle and the boys at Blackfive are rolling.
