10 Questions gets to Barack Obama

First, a 10 Questions update: This afternoon, Sen Barack Obama will answer the top question that has bubbled up in the 10 Questions campaign. Traffic on the site is surging, thanks in no small part to several liberal groups sending out mass emails to their members over the weekend to submit and vote on the questions. Good for them; that’s how it works.
We can’t let them have all the fun, so here’s what we’d like to do here at Hot Air. If you guys come up with a good question, either Michelle or I will video ourselves asking it and then we’ll post it. You guys help us vote it up and if it gets high enough it could make it to the candidates, where it will hopefully make some of them uncomfortable. Could we get a fundraising question in front of Hillary Clinton? We could give it a shot.
So either put serious question suggestions here in comments or email them to me at bryan — at — hotair — dot — com. Make sure to put “10 Questions” in the subject line.

I’d like Obama to answer…once and for all…whether or not he personally believe homosexuality to be immoral.
He never did answer that…

For Hillary or Barack:
Please detail the costs of illegal immigration on our nation’s resources – hospitals, schools, law enforcement, etc. Couple that figure with the threat of terrorism and explain to America why we don’t need a border fence.

Currently the top question is one on Net Neutrality. I believe this question is worthy of support.

You have said that we should negotiate with our troop killing enemies like Iran, but we should invade our allies like Pakistan. What would your position be on human rights violator, wahabi Islam exporter, 9/11 terrorism supplier Saudi Arabia?

Which of the following is more likely to happen under your administration:
1)Iran obtains nuclear weapons.
or
2)Military strikes against Iran.

Question for Hillary Clinton:
“After the example of governmental failure in controlling and regulating helthcare witnessed in TennCare, what specifically would your universal healthcare plan do differently then the one instituted in Tennessee?”
Or
Question for Barack Obama
“What in your experience as a State Legislator and freshman Senator best qualifies you to hold the office of President?”

Why shouldn’t you be called a Socialist? And why shouldn’t you call Hillary Clinton a Socialist?
OhEssYouCowboys on October 29, 2007 at 2:45 PM
Dude, are you serious? With two unresolved wars, $9 trillion of national debt, Social Security on track to going insolvent, widespread controversy about immigration and free trade, one in six Americans not receiving adequate health care, a serious and increasing water shortage in vast swaths of the country due to overbuilding and the threat of nuclear proliferation with no clear way to stop it, the most burning question you have to a possible future President of the United States is whether he thinks man-on-man sex is sinful?

Bryan, I bet a lot of people will skip over this post… You should write another post, devoted towards your effort, and title it accordingly. Something about “HotAir needs your help!” might work.

Why are laws around the country going against our founding fathers principles and against God’s laws?
Why aren’t our politicians looking at the Agenda 21 policy of the UN ??

Senator Obama, you are a professor of law at the University of Chicago. You also tout a national healthcare system. Could you please explain where in the enumerated powers granted to Congress by the Constitution one finds a provision which authorizes national healthcare? If you say the Commerce Clause of Article I, Section 8, please explain what limits you feel there are, if any, to Congress’s power under that clause and how it may be fairly interpreted so that it does not allow Washington plenary powers, rather than enumerated powers.

What makes you think that an ineffective Senator would make an effective chief executive?
I don’t particularly care about the lapel issue, but how do you explain your lack of the basic manners to salute the flag during the playing of the national anthem?
Have you kissed Jesse’s and Al’s rings yet?

Barak Hussein Obama: 24 months ago the most pressing legislation you voted on was the dog catcher’s salary, what makes you think the voters will allow you to sit at the grown ups table in 08?
Hitlery: How do you square your socialist policies with the US Constitution? or explain one more time how those files ended up on your night stand. About your freinds the chinese dishwashers who donated what equals 3 months of their annual salary to you…

To Barak Obama:
Why is it that you will not salute the flag or wear a flag pin?
Are you ashamed of our country and the principles upon which it was founded? If so, why do you choose to live here?
Are you so afraid of your most rabid left-wing suppliers that you are afraid to show allegiance to your country? If so, can we assume that fear will also govern your actions and policies if you have to deal with foreign enemies?

Senator Obama, considering your current poll numbers it is evident that you must find a way to close the gap between yourself and Senator Clinton. Mrs Clinton has made several blunders that have apparently gone unchallenged and I am wondering why you have not taken advantage of these Clinton Campaign missteps. For example: why don’t you talk publicly about the fact that Mrs Clinton has decided to go with Sandy Burger as her national security advisor despite the fact that he was tried and convicted of smuggling important national security documents out of the national security archives in his socks and his pants. He then destroyed the important national secutity documents, lied about everything and then later admitted to his criminal activities. This seems to me as a rather horrific choice of national security advisor for the Democrat frontrunner that could be effectively exposed by the 2nd place Democrat candidate (you). Have you conceded frontrunner status to Mrs Clinton and if not do you think it might help to expose such Clinton campaign blunders?

Here’s my question:
Average American families must live within their budgets. Why can’t the Federal Government? And why is it that you think it’s ok to raise my taxes? Don’t you think we pay enough already?
pullingmyhairout on October 29, 2007 at 3:30 PM
I doubt either of you could ask this question without screams of racist coming from every corner of the globe, nevertheless this it the question I would ask of both Obama and Hillary.
Do you support or not support the efforts by some black activist groups to seek reparations for enslavement in this country prior to the Civil War ? And please explain why you support or do not support reparations.

As a public figure, you have been caught up in many scandals. Is it possible for an honest person to be linked to that many scandals?

One more for both Hillary and Obama.
Being that socialism has proven itself a tragic failure around the world and throughout history and being that most nations that have gone down that path are now backtracking from it and that socialism is a form of economic slavery and thereby anathema to our American form of government, why do you support socialism and especially socializes medicine?

B. Hussein or Hillary (or, actually, to any leftist who is an can answer in good faith): What/who is the determinant of what is moral?
Is there any facet of American life which should not be meddled in by Congress?
Is there any aspect of science/research/industry/etc. that you acknowledge is best left to the private sector?

Question: “Do you seriously expect to be elected President with a name like Barack Hussein Obama?”
And a follow-up:
“If so, why should any American trust your judgment on anything more substantial than dental floss subsidies?”
And another follow-up:
“WTF?”

Senator Obama, you have stated on the record that you want to send American peace keepers to help prevent further genocide in Darfur. By peace keepers do you mean American soldiers? If so, where will these soldiers come from considering the fact that extraction of US soldiers from Iraq will, according to all credible sources, result in a genocide of equal if not greater proportions then in Darfur?

Senator Obama, it is a fact that one of the lead highjackers on 9/11 was pulled over for speeding two days prior to flying planes into buildings. It is also a fact that the police officer who pulled him over was, according to sactuary city policy, not allowed to inquire about the driver’s legal status. Do you believe that sanctuary cities are an acceptable policy today (6 years after 9/11/01)? Do you believe that they are in any way an interference to our national security?

Senator Obama, do you believe that the law should apply equally to all American citizens? If so, why did Sandy Burger skate with a measly fine of $50,000 (paid off by a Clinton fund raisers) and community service, whereas, anybody else would be locked up for life if they stole and destroyed sensitive documents from the national security archives?

Would you consider an attack on Taiwan by the People’s Republic of China to be an attack on the United States?
Are you prepared to honor the treaty between the United States and Taiwan?
Have you read the treaty between the United States and Taiwan?
Would you support the sale of arms from the United States to Taiwan?
Note: None of the candidates is ever asked anything about China’s hostile attitude toward Taiwan or about the US treaty obligations with Taiwan. If asked, I guaranty that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will refuse to answer or they will answer with meaningless mush.

For Hillary,
I am still confused about the Rose Law firm’s subpoenaed billing records’ mysterious appearance in the private quarters of the White House. I understand I run the risk of you cackling and calling this “old news” but, with the White House one of the most secure buildings in the US, why wasn’t there an FBI investigation of how they appeared on the coffee table, or wherever it was?
Did Karl Rove put them there?
