I think that’s appropriate too….if you live in Bizarro world.

Why would a woman be allowed to hit a man with impunity? I don’t throw the first punch in a fight (regardless of the gender of the other party). That means I don’t get in many fights; none since I grew up to my Monstrous size.

The whole “don’t hit a woman” thing is based on the idea that men are supposed to protect women. A woman who initiates the use of force has forfeited her right to protection just like a man who does so forfeits his right to be left in peace.

It’s ~~important~~ crucial to distinguish between the initiator and the retaliator. That the anti-male bias in the Social Warfare industry treats the male as the guilty party in a domestic violence situation, even when he’s had the crap beaten out of him, and the female has nary a scratch on her, indicates how far we are from that ideal.

I used to think that also, but HA had a thread a month or so ago about the differences between the psychology of liberals and conservatives. The basic difference is that liberals destroy the father figure in favor of a nanny state mentality that will save them from their own stupidity.
