Video: George Carlin kinda sorta embraces Trutherism

Via SLC, giving him more of a pass than he deserves. This is an even better insight into his persona than that trainwreck “View” clip the other day. He’s not embracing the conspiracy theory on its merits, he’s simply following the lazy hippie line that you can’t go wrong questioning authority. Carlin loves to rail against mindless conformity; here’s a textbook case of mindless nonconformity at work, coupled of course with that black fatalistic cynicism about power for which he’s famous. Nothing happens unless They let it happen, mannn.

Desperate times for the desperately irrelevant

Wow. I used to like him, until I embraced the wisdom of Sam Kinison and Denis Leary over this old hippie cretin. He sounded like your typical pothead explaining “how things work in the world”. What a dip.

Speaking of things working, Allah, you knocked out the Blog column again…watch you’ll have fixed it already.

WOW! Nice grab. George Carlin is a moron.

The History Channel did a story on Hippies a bit ago. After all the years I’ve lived, I finally saw a show that admitted what I knew. That for some of the young slackers of the 60’s, they never grew out of the delusion. They continue to try to live that life style and think the same. Sorry to see their ilk, like Carlin, make total fools of themselves every day.

Like many artists, I embrace the “Shutup and Sing” mantra.
Carlin make political, pop culture and other nuts and bolts of daily life funny.
So, like his routine states, Occupation Fool.
Treat it as such as it is and enjoy the comedy.
BTW; anyone else notice the HA page is intermittently timing out?

“mindless conformity vs. mindless nonconformity”
I like that. Well said.

Jeez, I was already cringing listening to Alec Baldwin narrating Thomas the Tank engine stories and now I’ll think of this when I hear Carlin doing it.
Just don’t tell me anything stupid Ringo Starr has said lately…

And don’t forget Bill Hicks – This is funny. Hicks vs Leary

My thoughts exactly. Carlin used to be very funny before he became so bitter and angry. Unfortunately, that was several years ago…

Each day, I find myself losing more and more respect for George Carlin. Sad, really.

How dare he.
JayHaw Phrenzie on October 26, 2007 at 9:28 PM
Do I have to listen to him? Time to dust off the bong, I guess.

Life sure is tough, in-between those checks from Pixar and HBO…

More a slime trail than anything.

I am still praying that Andrew Dice Clay comes out of retirement, puts a cigarette out on this jackasse’s forehead then chokes him out with his leather studded belt!

Remember when George Carlin was funny?
I don’t. And I go back a ways.
