Ignore the idiot.
Texas Nick 77 on October 25, 2007 at 9:41 AM
Wrong, &sshole, the gretest tragedy of this war is that we’re losing our Best. But you wouldn’t know anything about them, living your sheltered life surrounded by cheese and wine limo-liberals. Close-minded fool, these brave warriors died so that you wouldn’t lose your right to call them stupid, you ungrateful pr*ck.
Tony737 on October 25, 2007 at 9:43 AM
Only idiots say things like that.
Only idiots listen.
Vanquisher on October 25, 2007 at 9:43 AM
Rall remains scum. What a sad sack of excrement.
Doug on October 25, 2007 at 9:43 AM
I attended the service for a thirty-three year old Marine officer who was killed by a sniper in Iraq. He left behind a young baby girl and an unborn son along with a loving wife. This was a bright guy that attended a very tough private high school since his parents wanted the best for their boy. He went through the US Naval Cadet program, which is a tough system for teenagers that wish to join the Navy or Marines when they are old enough. He went off to college, did great and was a captain in the corps.
His number one goal was that all men under his command got home alive and that their mission would be a success. He did all of that, but gave his life in the process.
There is no one I knew personally that is more successful, loved or brilliant.
Hening on October 25, 2007 at 9:44 AM
If anything Rall is proof that when we lose US soldiers our IQs start to lower to his level
William Amos on October 25, 2007 at 9:44 AM
I’m sad to say this but it’s getting to the point where this kind of bloviating doesn’t offend me anymore. In fact, it amuses me.
Tell me again about our dumb military Ted, I’m all ears.
Keljeck on October 25, 2007 at 9:44 AM
Ted Rall isn’t worthy of licking the sand off my son’s combat boots.
N. O'Brain on October 25, 2007 at 9:45 AM
Slow way to cleanse the gene pool, seeing as how fewer Americans have died in this entire war so far than died in a few hours in most battles of Vietnam or WWII.
aero on October 25, 2007 at 9:45 AM
Sorry…this Marine was twenty-three. Mistyped…
Hening on October 25, 2007 at 9:46 AM
I won’t indulge his traffic count, not even once. He gives excrement a bad name.
bbz123 on October 25, 2007 at 9:46 AM
He’s on the right track, but in the wrong direction. If he wants to raise national IQ, he can do it by jumping off a tall building.
Aylios on October 25, 2007 at 9:47 AM
Halp us, Ted Rawl….
aero on October 25, 2007 at 9:47 AM
Interesting. Rush Limbaugh got a Senate resolution against him for saying something less inflammatory.
Don’t you dare question Rall’s patriotism, though.
Vyce on October 25, 2007 at 9:49 AM
“Low quality American troops”????? Is this his way of explaining the success of the surge? The terrorists are bored and have stopped fighting? No, idiot, the terrorists are DEAD or on the run because of the highly trained American Soldiers kickin’ their @ss to prevent them from bringing their terrorism and sharia law here and forcing you to attend mosque five times a DAY, not five times a week, five times a DAY! Think of how that would mess up your little socialist gatherings with your leftist friends, moron.
Tony737 on October 25, 2007 at 9:51 AM
You know Karl Rove is really a genius. Just think we would have never know Code Pink or Ted Rall or Scott Beauchamp or even the Ron Paulers from Adam if it wasnt for the war in Iraq.
Its now so much clearer to see where the low end of the gene pool really is and it aint in the Military
William Amos on October 25, 2007 at 9:52 AM
Yeah great point. And I have a sneeky suspicion that our elected “representatives” will be staying out of this one. Just a hunch. We are surrounded by corruption, immorality, ungratefulness and stupidity. We have a lot of work to do fellas.

Right? Say what you will about Ted Rall, but at least he doesn’t insult his readers’ intelligence with that “I support the troops but not the war” crap. At least he’s creative about insulting his readers’ intelligence. Ann Coulter, take note.

I get the feeling that Ted Rall is the kind of guy that got beat up daily in school…he’s real brave with a pen in his hand. I relish the day that he is held accountable for his BS.
EEprom on October 25, 2007 at 10:04 AM
Ted Rall is evidently really pissed about the uptick in good news coming out of Iraq and Afghanistan of late. You can feel his anger about that jumping off the page. This will be a very interesting civics lesson. We will be able to witness, like never before, the direct relationship between the success of our nation’s foreign policy and the ever growing rage of the moonbats (included in this group is the vast majority of democratic senators and congressmen).
Zetterson on October 25, 2007 at 10:07 AM
In my lifetime I’ve read maybe two or three articles by Ted Rall, that was two or three more than I should have read. I didn’t bother to click, I will never waste another moment of my life reading Ted Rall.
Maxx on October 25, 2007 at 10:08 AM
EEprom, I think he was role playing on purpose. He’s speaking Dhimmi.
Zetterson on October 25, 2007 at 10:08 AM
Oddly, I don’t hear any condemnation from Harry Reid and 41 senate Democrats for this disgusting smear against our troops.
Oh, that’s right. That only happens for made-up sham cases against conservatives. Liberal “satirists”–and all of them seem to be “satirists” these days–get a pass, because it’s supposed to be “funny.”
Harry, Do you see me laughing? No? Thats because I’m not. Why? Because it’s not funny–only liberal tools think it’s “funny” to bash their country and those men and women that have fought to defend these tools’ right to spew this filth.
mojojojo on October 25, 2007 at 10:09 AM
With all the stupidity from the libs going on of late, it appears Rall felt left out. So he decides to trash the military again.
JammieWearingFool on October 25, 2007 at 10:09 AM
Why doesn’t he move to Massachusetts and marry the nihilistic anal-sadist hippy-dippy Weatherman George Carlin.
They can stew in one another’s bile for their honeymoon.
A shame they both weren’t breakfasting on re-heated tripe at the Windows on the World restuarant one beautiful September morning 6 years ago.

I skipped a comic convention that I wanted to go to because this piece of trash was going to be there. I didn’t want to be in the same building with it or I don’t know what my reaction was going to be if I came anywhere near the room where it was talking.

Do the libs letting their masks down mean they’re running scared, or are they being triumphal?

jdawg on October 25, 2007 at 10:38 AM
Could be anything, they could be sabre-rattling, kind of like “if you Democrat elite don’t do what we want, we’re gonna act like the crazies we really are in public and sabotage your election.”
Or maybe the years of overt hate and bottled up hate have reached a point where they are boiling over into the public. Or that the successes we’re seeing in Iraq is driving this crazy ranting.
Bad Candy on October 25, 2007 at 10:42 AM
Human history is replete with famous quotations about this kind of hubris. Someone more skilled that I could fill a page with them. People write books about it.
Ted Rall has succeeded in getting his name added to that long list of historical idiots. He might even find his quotation famous, and often repeated, for a very long time.
As an example:
rockhauler on October 25, 2007 at 10:43 AM
jdawg, no way THAT will ever happen. This guy is a punk and a coward who doesn’t have the balls to say anything in person, he hides behind his cartoons. I’m sure he thinks that makes him all big and brave, ironically not noticing that those he insults are the TRUE brave ones, the same brave warriors who make sure that HE has the right to insult them. Pathetic.
Tony737 on October 25, 2007 at 10:44 AM
Dunno what he’d say, but I wanna know when the civilian version of that thing comes out.

Bad Candy on October 25, 2007 at 10:53 AM
I look at it exactly oppositely. All the high-IQ people went off to war and some of them died. Considering how quickly our engineering jobs are going overseas and how difficult it is to get into high-IQ professions because of H1-B visas, the military is one of the few left that tests IQ and utilizes talent properly. And allows you to shoot jihadists.
PRCalDude on October 25, 2007 at 11:02 AM
Don’t waste your time hating Rall.
USE him. He’s the textbook definition of a very useful idiot.
Michael Moore did more than anyone in the country to defeat “3-Purple-Hearts” Kerry.
All Rall just did is give the eventual Republican nominee a slightly better chance of winning in 2008.
Keep talking, Rall. Just keep talking.
Our job isn’t to hate him. Our job is to make sure as many people as possible know what he and people like him really think.
He’s our very best weapon.
Thanks, Ted. Kind of ironic that you’re not smart enough to figure this out, huh, pal?
Professor Blather on October 25, 2007 at 11:14 AM
You’re misreading Jimmy’s message. Obviously.
Rall *is* refreshingly honest. He’s saying exactly what the liberal at DKos and DU and everywhere else are really thinking and saying.
That’s refreshing.
If more of them were that refreshingly honest, the Democrat Party would implode in a heartbeat.
That was Jimmy’s point. He wasn’t applauding Rall’s message, just cheering the fact that when he speaks like that … we get to see what liberals truly are.

My son’s IQ tested at about 160+.
What’s yours, you sad waste of protein?

How does linking Rall help this site? Does it drive your traffic up, somehow? And if not, then what’s the point? He draws and says the things he does to attract publicity. Way to fall into that trap.
Ted Rall is subhuman trash. I’d piss on him, as long as he wasn’t on fire.

OK, here’s a hypothetical. Replace the word “military” with “black” or “hispanic” or “Islamic” in that cartoon. Wouldn’t that be called “hate speech”?
So hate speech is okay if it’s aimed at our military?
Who is publishing this hate speech, anyway?

Gatordoug on October 25, 2007 at 6:39 PM
The problem is not only that he is disgusting and clearly hateful of the troops, but also that he is ignorant.
The average IQ of American soldiers is substantially above national average. This is not even open to dispute, since the military conducts EXTENSIVE IQ tests (parts of the AFQT are essentially high quality IQ-tests) , and cuts of almost all applicants with low IQ. Of the 30% of the population with lowest IQ the army takes less than one in ten. Steve Sailor has calculated the average IQ of the troops.
http://isteve.blogspot.com/2006/11/average-iq-of-enlisted-men.html
The average enlisted has an IQ of 105, compared to 98 for the national average. The officers have even higher average IQ.
Even an idiot liberal should understand that killing people that are smarter than average lowers average national IQ, not vice versa (of course 4000 people is 0,0013% of the US population, and doesn’t effect national IQ-averages in any way). Anyway the point is simple:
Facts show indisputably that the average IQ of Americans soldiers is substantially above the national average.
PS. Since when is it OK to discuss average national IQ? Isn’t the lefts entire ideology based on the premise that IQ doesn’t exists, or at least that average IQ doesn’t matter? Regardless of the smug stupidity of Rall, is IQ really an issue that left should be talking about?
Tino on October 25, 2007 at 7:04 PM
No, no, no I have to admit my son is not as intelligent. He only graduated fourth out of a class of 400. Due to his mental deficiencies he took Advanced Placement courses throughout high school just so he could get those easy “A’s”. For being such a slacker he was only able to get into the Air Force Academy. Now of course his studies are much easier than if he had enrolled in the kind of difficult school I’m sure Mr. Rall attended. Because my son only spoke four languages before the Academy, they decided that as a Cadet 4th class or freshman, it would be good if he took an easy language like Japanese to help him out. And since he only tested out of Chemistry and couldn’t test out of all levels of Calculus, he is also taking such easy “remedial” courses as Calculus 3, Engineering and Computer Science to go with that simple Japanese course. Of course my son’s only ambitions are to be a systems engineer and fly jets for that mean, nasty Air Force.
Mr. Rall, since you pride yourself on your ability to spread it on thick and black, I have a job that is a real promotion. You can shine the boots of my son and all the other cadets at the Air Force Academy! I know it will test your abilities but I think you’ve proven you can go that low to get the job done.
